Pornography is on the air.  Here in NYC the Robin Byrd show is shown on cable access stations for anyone to see.  Is Schumer going to allow conservative programs to only be shown between midnight and 3 am? 

More relativism.  It's become increasingly obvious that the left has absolutely no morals, and is not only not able to tell right from wrong, it's doubtful that many of them can tell their left hand from their right hand!

I think he summed things up perfectly . . . he made the comparison of liberal veiwpoints to pornography and I cannot argue against that! They are both morally depraved!

Seriously folks, from a business standpoint, the "Fairness Doctrine" is like the federal government telling Coca Cola that they have to distribute and promote the same amount of Pepsi products in Atlanta as it does Coke products because it would be "fair." If people wanted to hear liberal talking points, Air America would be a huge success. The problem with Air America is they have nothing but a hateful, defeatist message and that is not appealing to people. It is not entertaining. Think about it, who likes to hang around people that are always complaining and talking about how bad life is for them?

The scariest thing in this interview is the "check card" bill in my opinion. Connecting the dots, what you have is a scheme for unions to increase membership by intimidation and federal take over of businesses that don't tow the union line. Read about it and get informed; we are in for a rough ride if the Democrats are allowed to have their way. Even McGovern is saying this same thing . . . that is truly scary!

What else needs to be said?

Does anyone really doubt that the Fairness Doctrine is unconstitutional?  The major justification for the Fairness Doctrine as a limitation on the First Amendment was based almost entirely on the scarcity of the airwaves for radio and television. With cable tv, satelight tv & radio, and of course the internet, this justification no longer exists.

I suspect the current Supreme Court would strike down the Fairness Doctrine if the FCC ever tried to reimplement it. The 4 conservative judges would clearly strike it down, and I suspect Kennedy and Breyer would join them.  I may be wrong here, but I believe that even Ruth Bader-Ginsberg has expressed doubts about the validity of the Fairness Doctrine. 

They actually do believe this nonsense. If they can squash the voice of opposition in this country, then their power is assured for years to come. How do you think they maintained power for 40 years from the early 1950s till 1993? Note: the fairness doctrine was introduced in 1949 and revoked in 1985. Get the correlation? Tyranny feeds and thrives on ignorance.

The Bolsheviks gained power by the "uprising of the downtrodden masses" as it is recorded in history which ultimately led to the formation of the USSR. But as any discerning person knows, it was certain manipulating personalities who yoked the discontentment of the so-called downtrodden masses to do their bidding. See how it is done? Hitler did it the same way.

Why do you think Obama wants to form a national security force as well funded as the military? Perhaps because the military, comprised mainly of freedom loving souls, won't follow him to do an unconstitutional thing.

Comparing political speech to pornography?  My God. 

The countdown is on - it's only a matter of time until the Democrats punt the First Amendment - they've been waiting for years to do this. This is only the beginning - it's going to be a very long four (or God help us!) eight years!

Clearly, most right thinking people, those who have children or try to put themselves in the place of a parent realize that you can't monitor your kids 24/7, nor would you want to.  Kids need some autonomy.

The main purpose to regulate pornography is to keep it away from kids.

So, Chuck Schumer is saying that the best thing to protect kids is to regulate Pornography, then regulate what information they are allowed to hear.  

In reality, though, liberals would rather the airwaves be awash in unregulated porn, and by extension, anything that stands against God, Jesus, and the Bible.  But do want to regulate what Conservatives say/do.
