"Fox & Friends" viewers were treated to quite an entertaining discussion Halloween morning when Ann Coulter (pictured right in file photo) and Geraldo Rivera squared off on the state of the presidential campaign.
At issue were such things as the Los Angeles Times' refusal to share the controversial videotape of an encounter with Barack Obama and former PLO operative Rashid Khalidi, McCain's position on immigration, how Sarah Palin was treated by the media, and how baby boomers still in love with the '60s are dominating journalism.
Videotape of much of this segment is embedded below the fold (h/t our dear friend Johnny Dollar):

I love that!! Rivera asks
October 31, 2008 - 13:27 ET by motherbeltI love that!!
Rivera asks Are you saying the LA Times is lying?
And Coulter nods vehemently.....Yes!! Yes!! Everyone knows that!!
Don't hold back, Ann....tell us what you really think!! LOL!
Geraldo's excuse is pretty much....this was written back in April. It's too late to get into it now!
Ann is going to need a testicle lock-box of her very own!
PS: Kudos to Geraldo for restraint. He held off for 2 whole minutes before he said "It's a distraction."
I saw all of this early
October 31, 2008 - 13:26 ET by bigtimerI saw all of this early this morning...it was delicious!
Well, with the exception of the complete leftist insanity from Geraldo...he absolutely showed his true leftist colors for all to see once and for all.
Coulter was great as always...so was Peter Johnson I think his last name is...anyway I really enjoyed it, glad I happened to catch it today.

Except for one thing
October 31, 2008 - 15:51 ET by Gat New YorkBT - I agree with Geraldo when he said that the Joe The Plumber incident should have been the defining moment and a race to the finish for McCain.
However I don't agree with Rivera because part of that sprint needed to be past confirmation of Obama's socialist heritage which includes Ayers (the fact that he is a socialist is important - a 60's terrorist is not as relevant).
As far as Wright and Khalidi as well as others that should have been left to Jewish GOP groups and individuals to drive home, but McCain demanded that he would never support the use of Wright in the campaign. He will live to regret that decision.
GNY... You make some
October 31, 2008 - 16:03 ET by bigtimerGNY...
You make some points I agree with here...this campaign has been handled so terribly for the most part...the likes of which I don't think I've seen in a long time...if ever...so many opportunities, too many apologies and throwing people under the bus from McC too.

Cullen v Coles
October 31, 2008 - 13:33 ET by ricklailMy hearing is not the best but I thought he said the 1991 Supreme Court decsion of Cullen V Coles. I did a search on Cullen V Coles and came up empty. Is he blowing smoke>

Cohen v Cowles Media

I'm agreeing with Geraldo
October 31, 2008 - 13:35 ET by Smoking HotIt's shocking to see him on a panel of anything and feel like he's the most sober-minded of the bunch, but there it is, in living color.

base this on? ummm by watching it
October 31, 2008 - 14:53 ET by abeautifulpersonwhat a bunch of clowns. geraldo was the most left and that is so sad.
anne coulter wins as being the shrillest, most extreme of the bunch. but its okay, no one was expecting fair or balance in this conservative circle joke.
I see.
October 31, 2008 - 15:59 ET by Mike BrattonSo that makes two of you who can't quote anything from the discussion that makes you think Geraldo made the most compelling presentation?
No facts, no observations?

naw. specifics? why waste my time
November 1, 2008 - 11:55 ET by abeautifulperson... when all i'd get for my effort is angry rebuttal and insults. i am satisfied to share my overall view.
but don't mistake the comment with an endorsement of geraldo. at least he didn't interrupt ann repeatedly as she did him. but then again, louder and cutting people off is standard fare at fox.
the thing with specifics in this situation: i detail. then you detail. then we argue. we waste our time not convincing each other. just thank me for all the time i saved us both. spend some time with your kids instead. soon the world will fall apart with the president stealing all your money, setting up a terrorist state, bankrupting the country and humiliating america in front of the rest of the world at 60% of your own population.
no wait. that already happened.

November 1, 2008 - 11:36 ET by abeautifulpersoni was being polite and getting my point across AND making a pun all at once. too bad you missed it.
what i was also holding back is the person to coulter's left (assuming its a clockwise jerk and all here are righties) would have definitely have their hand the fullest of the group.
but again, i was trying to keep it clean. thanks for opening the door. or should i say, zipper.

Did you notice Geraldo's racism making an appearance?
October 31, 2008 - 13:51 ET by Mike BrattonWhich was surprising, considering his Hispanic ancestry.
In his mind, thinking it's a good idea to be in the United States legally, and working to show those who are here illegally the door, is a big turn-off to Hispanics in general.
Every one.
Because, of course, Hispanics will monolithically approve illegal immigrants, just like they'll monolithically approve really bad mustaches.

Wondering
October 31, 2008 - 13:56 ET by Copperhead RidgeI was left wondering, which one weighs more, Geraldo's mustache or Ann Coulter?
Geraldo dug deep into the vaults of his mind to decide that "right wing" talk radio has cost McCain the election. He never offered any proof, but he said it a couple of times.
I couldn't keep up with all of it because I was getting ready for work. I'm pretending to work at this moment.

October 31, 2008 - 16:06 ET by ckc1227First off, Gerardo is blaming this on immigration policy, lol? Has anyone even talked about immigration during this election?
Second, it's just amazing to me how folks still aren't making the connection between Obama and these radicals and how it relates to the economy. It's bad enough that he has surrounded himself with people who hate this country in general, but one of the main reasons they hate this country is because of Capitalism. They DESPISE Capitalism, and Obama has surrounded himself with these types of individuals, most likely because he also despises Capitalism. That's why it's relevant to current economic issues.
Do we really want a socialist/Marxist/communist(pick one) President backed by a like-minded congress in charge of "saving" the economy? Uh.....no. He/they have a plan for this economy, and it ain't more capitalism.
And for those who don't believe he is a socialist.....suckers, lol. Have another sip of kool aid, and go back to sleep.
Obama's Economic plan: more taxes, more spending, more regulation. Prosperity here we come.

Geraldo Unplugged
October 31, 2008 - 20:20 ET by JanettaIf it wasn't for Fox News giving Geraldo a job he would probably be a janitor in the projects. As a matter of fact I think that is where he should be.
