CNBC Anchor Asks If Her McCain-bashing Guest Is Nonpartisan

As NewsBusters has been reporting for months, CNBC's chief Washington correspondent John Harwood seems to take every opportunity afforded him to bash Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

Having once again done so on Tuesday's "The Call" on CNBC, anchor Melissa Francis asked whether or not Harwood was nonpartisan.

The delicious exchange occurred after Harwood spoke in great length about how yesterday's failed bailout vote in the House was bad news for -- wait for it -- John McCain.

CNBC contributor Vince Farrell asked Harwood (video embedded right):

Hey John, you're nonpartisan. What does McCain do to try and bail himself out of this?

After Harwood's response, Francis marvelously asked:

Is John nonpartisan? I don't, alright, I'm teasing you. Alright. I'm teasing you.

Harwood replied:

Hey, cheap shot.

Not really, John. Frankly, Francis hit the nail right on the head.

Cheap shot my arse...

...plus his fake indignation....

Give me a break.

I still wished I wouldn't of been so ill when I saw him slip-up by accident and make it obvious he was on the left side of the aisle when he and Scarborough were having a back and forth one morning about a year of more ago now...it also was delicious.

I would of liked to save that clip if I had known how then.

Oh well, good catch Noel...I just wished she wouldn't of said just teasing...still a good dig anyway.

I'm surprised he didn't say Of course I am; I'm a journalist!

Surprised anyone...

Had the stones to say something like this, especially the host.  Non-partisan, yeah right!  This is what the MSM needs to do more of and its the one thing they won't do.

Oh, yeah, Harwoodie takes every opportunity, alright

[Harwoodie places his order] "I'd like a double cheeseburger, medium fries, small Coke, McCain sucks and Palin is a trollup.

Yes, that's to go."

Not only is she close to what Harwood has to say on-air, it would seem that her little revealing poke at him indicates what is well known off camera; that which seems to be leaking out all the time.."..and in the studio, there were loud cheers and clapping when Obama took to the stage." (;~> gary

As the election nears, the political affiliations of each of the various newscasters on CNBC is glaringly apparent and overwhelmingly liberal.

Solution: Fox Business News

Not only do you get fair and balanced takes on the business news of the day, but FBN provides superior market data and market data analysis than the competition, CNBC and Bloomberg.

Unfortunately, FBN is difficult to get because not many of the serveral cable/satelite companies carry the feed.  I switched my feed a couple of months at the house so that I could get it.  I am glad I did.

At work, we have to put up with CNBC and Bloomberg although again we are working on getting that changed as well.
