Mother-of-Three O'Donnell Worried About Palin's Neglected Kids

Photo of Noel Sheppard.

In today's "Do As I Say, Not As I Do" moment, MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell, currently miles away from her three children that are all under the age of two, questioned whether or not Sarah Palin would be neglecting her four-month-old if she became vice president.

I kid you not.

As reported moments ago by Matt Lewis at Town Hall (video embedded right):

MSNBC's Norah O'Donell has given voice to the idea that Sarah Palin would be neglecting her child if she accepts the Republican vice presidential nomination.  Of course, she does this by cloaking the question in the imaginary third person "some people are saying."

Here's the money question:

Congresswoman, what about the argument that, you know, vice president is a tough job, and that having a four month old baby, who has Down's Syndrome, that will have special needs, requires extra time, that, that she should be focusing on her four month old, that some people have said that, fairly or unfairly. What do you think of that?

As Lewis opined:

This is interesting, inasmuch as Norah O'Donnell has 1 1/2 year-old twins -- and a 1-month old.   Meanwhile, her husband owns three restaurants -- and she is in Minnesota covering a political convention for a week!

Honestly, what we're seeing right now is nothing less than astounding. Literally, before our eyes, the mainstream media are actually becoming the liberal blogosphere.

Noel, I suppose after MSNBC and others exhausted their own merely liberal venom, there was no where else to turn for a fresh, more poisonous supply, other than the radical left blogosphere.

I absolutely agree.  They

I absolutely agree.  They are talking about Palin's family life non-stop.  It's amazing.  But more importantly, it's sad.  It's sad that a presidential election, in the United States of America, can't be reported on objectively.  Just give us info, quit with the biased nonsense!   I know that will never happen.  But as I've said many times to many people.......if not for the media having become a voice for liberal agendas, liberals would have no way of winning elections.  They may pick up a few here and there, but on the national scene, they wouldn't have an ounce of a chance.  The numbers against their moronic agenda would be astounding.  Unfortunately for America, and fortunately for the Left, the media will do whatever they can do to make sure they are doing their part in promoting the Leftist candidates and agendas.

This is in plain site.  Many don't see it.  Many don't care.  But it's important and it's a danger to America that the news media cannot be objective anymore.  I believe the 24/7 news cycle has created a monster and putting the toothpaste back in the tube an impossibility now.  And America will suffer the consequences of it.  What we see now is only going to get worse as the years go by.

I just heard...

I just heard a woman on television say she would not vote for Palin because she put her pregnent daughter in a horrible position by running.  She got that line straight from the biased news coverage of the last few days.

That is why I'm afraid this woman is dead on arrival.  The MSM have seriously damaged her - great speach or not.

MSM = PR firm for the Democrat Party

"The MSM have seriously

"The MSM have seriously damaged her"

No, they haven't. I don't believe that a majority of people will buy into this garbage. The media is doing all it can, to the point of being obvious. But most people can see the truth, and will probably rebel against it.

Look for a lot of "supportive" votes for Palin.

I'm afraid they have, but hope I'm wrong...

They're not fooling any of us, but the constant negative drumbeat is going to take its toll.  I'm telling you, I pray I'm wrong, but it gets worse every day.

Additionally, I'm looking out over the next six - eight weeks.  They are not going to let up on her until the election.

MSM = PR firm for the Democrat Party

I've given up all hope that

I've given up all hope that the media will ever change. Rather, I think it will remain overtly biased towards Democrats, to the point that it's, for all purposes, fully a PR/attack wing of the Democratic Party. Now, my only hope is that a large segment of the American public recognizes them what they are and will treat their "news" accordingly and that number will grow.

There are two Americas. One who watches and believes the "Mainstream Media" and one who doesn't.

Chris, Noel

I have to agree with that sentiment. The majority of people have said they believe the MSM is biased. Now they (MSM) are completely melting down to the point that liberals I know are noticing the ludicrous lengths to which the media is going to slam Palin anyway they can.

It's truly mind-boggling. And magically delicious.

Thanks for having this up

Thanks for having this up here Noel...I caught this today...I posted how angry I was with Norah somewhere..anyway, I am waiting for the good guys on our side of the aisle, especially the women to come out and start asking the same talking heads these questions where are their kids and how come they aren't home watching/raising them...smack it right back at them!

You talk about pot calling kettle...

As an aside I heard Rush today talk about Soledad O'Brien and her hypocrisy with I think he said four kids....

This is absolutely maddening..outrageous...the viciousness the likes ow which I have never seen

Feeding frenzy...they are going to have to invent a new word for what the msm is doing in their terrified world and fear of losing.

Bt,

I think there's an old word for what the MSM is doing. Worse than a feeding frenzy.

I vote for "cannibalism."

(A more appropriate word would be what zombies do: the living dead feasting on a corpse of their own kind. But I don't know a better word for that.)

IJ.... Cannibalism is

IJ....

Cannibalism is perfect...works for me.

Tonight is going to be something to behold after her speech with the msm...I am prepared to hold my temper in...I am going to have to...I really have never seen anything like this, and I have been around awhile.

Is MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell a fit mother?

She has three very small children at home.  Some people are saying, either fairly or unfairly, that Norah should be focusing on her small vulnerable children and not focusing her time on her career as a professional jackass on MSNBC.

Norah should hike her A##

Norah should hike her A## home and take care of her own before criticizing someone else for the same thing she is doing. She should know better. A reporter that has assiginments all over sees less of her children than a VP that can go home every night or have them visit her on a regular bases.

three very small children at home

I'm sure Norah heard OObama's Olympian speech in which he promised her a house, medical care, no taxes, and free oil company rebates..., she's just trying to get him to win so  she won't have to go out every day, leaving her poor children home alone, to work as a professional jackass..., If OObama wins she'll be able to stay home, barefoot, changing diapers, baking cookies, and washing her hubby's coveralls   It'll be a Democrat heaven!  <sarc off>

It's not funny

Here we have a bunch of women who have it within their power to say "no boss, asking that question would be sexist, and I resent your implications".  Their jobs would be protected for a long time.

But instead, these women are so enamored, (or lustful?) of a cute liberal candidate with a washboard stomach and a tight butt.

This is exactly the kind of hypocrisy men point to when justifying their sexist jokes.

No problem Noel

I'd consider it an honor.

I find it refreshing that

I find it refreshing that these hot female reporters have abandoned those feminist attitudes and resubscribed to the barefoot and pregnant mentality of the '5o's.  Way cool!

Something that won't happen but it should...

Wouldn't it be lovely to see Republicans picket the MSM's booths and boxes - especially NBC/MSNBC? The media has declared war on Sarah Palin and Republicans, why try to be polite any longer? This quaint Republican notion of having to cooperate with the MSM should be dead - murdered by the media itself. What exactly have Republicans gained by being polite and cooperative with these assassins?

Idea for Picket Sign:

Fantasy: Republicans rioting...

McNotObama '08

I would go a step further...

On national TV, I would call out all the networks and other media. I would go after those that are making all these accusations by name. Put them on the defensive and make them the news. Have the campaign go after these people at every opportunity. Not necessarily in a malicious way, but by putting them on the spot.

On an ongoing basis, I would go after the MSM and log, track, and advertise the responses (or lack thereof) to these so called scandals so that citizens can see what, and what is not, the truth.

The best defense is a good offense.

That's fine for the top -

That's fine for the top - those who get "interviewed" - I was referring to action at the grass roots level. This tea party mentality by Republicans should have ended when the media went in-your-face with their liberal bias.

McNotObama '08

Norah O'Donnell should be

Norah O'Donnell should be more concerned with neglecting her own brain!

It's beyond belief how many WOMEN are trashing Gov. Palin. Are they purposely trying to set the womans movement back to the stone age? Or was the womans movement meant only for Democrat women? Fortunately, all this hatred will sink any chances Obama ever thought he had. Sarah Palins Bodyguard

I think Norah should worry a

I think Norah should worry a little more about her water-weight gain and less about how someone who could knock her on her ass and mount her head on a wall in a one-on-one meeting manages her PERSONAL family life..

So Who

watches Norah's chitlin?

Give me a break!

NOW they worry about the children. Well they worry about Republican children?

How many kids did Democratic Idol Robert F. Kennedy have when he ran for President? Eight, with one on the way! Somehow I don't remember the press saying he should stay home with the kids.

Oh, but he was a man and apparently the liberal media thinks fathers don't count when raising kids. How sexist to both women and fathers!

Media Bias

I thought I would share with everyone my little bit of a story dealing with media bias.

My roomate invited a Jehova's Witness over and I found out due to their religion they don't get into politics or vote...so I thought a perfect example to see if they see bias.  The man told me plainly the media is for Obama.  There you have it folks, most if not everybody knows what the media is up to.

Not sure what the Obama

Not sure what the Obama crowd is attacking her for.  I mean heck, after tonight, if she gives a great speech and is seen to be a great speaker, then according to the Left's view of Obama from day one, she's equaled his qualifications.  So I guess all is even at that point eh?  Regardless of any other experience, since the Left never cared a bit about that with the Obama.

After all, all he is a speecher (who says nothing) that the media has pushed into the spotlight.  Without the media's bias having pushed him up, he's on vacation with the rest of the Senate.  I can guarantee Palin won't say something as stupid as "we are the change we seek."

The "some people," Norah O'Donnell, is you...

..or - a bit more on the "imaginary 3rd person" - the 3rd rail of today's journalism.

The "some people" you refer to, Norah O'Donnell,  is you.. AND .. the Tabloids... NBC correspondent Amy Robach .. CBS Early Show, co-host Maggie Rodriguez .. Washington Post reporter Sally Quinn .. Liz Hunt of the Daily Telegraph .. GMA" weekend co-host Bill Weir .. PBS's Mark Shields -- that was the short list.

The reference here is:

O'Donnell: Congresswoman, what about the argument that, you know, vice president is a tough job, and that having a four month old baby, who has Down's Syndrome, that will have special needs, requires extra time, that, that she should be focusing on her four month old, that some people have said that, fairly or unfairly. What do you think of that?

The MSM, in it's continuing want to make it's views heard, with or without a source, makes great use of their usual explicit source references: Some people, people say, experts have said, they say, we are hearing, it's been stated, we've heard, we all know, people are saying, what we've been seeing, many people, lots of folks, and so on. In other words, when the journalist just assumes it's this way [their way] they assume that the use of "some people, or one of the other "accepted sources," is good enough for the audience. Truly what it means, is that the journalist is telling the audience what the journalist believes and does not actually have a source for. Even in the event that there might actually be a source out there for the so called view, or news, chances are, as we have been reminded of (thank you Mika Brzezinski) the source is none other than other journalists with whom the journalist is hanging around with /or, perhaps a real credible one, like the Daily Kos.

Now, almost a year ago MSNBC "correspondent" David Shuster alleged that many people don't believe Robert Novak has "any credibility as a journalist." Now, what was the basis for Shuster's attack on Novak's credibility? Well, Bob Novak, according to Shuster:

OK, here are the names of these "many people" who told me that Bob Novak does not have any integrity as a journalist. And if I have not identified the names of those "many people," who told me this, then I should have egg on my face. OK, Chris. Throw the egg at my face, cause I have no idea who these "lots of people" actually are. I just say that, when I want to smear someone.

See - Novak's not credible because "many people" to whom Shuster spoke with didn't know who the "lots of people" Novak were, who Novak had referenced.

"Some people" just don't get it. "Many of us" understand that, don't "we?"

How about Barack's kids?

If we are going down the road of familial responsibility, then let us ask: Since Barack Obama had an absent father, how can he justify taking the position of President, when he knows that it will severely curtail his presence in the lives of his young children? Perhaps HE should be home with the kiddies.

The misogynistic attacks by the Obamabots just infuriate me.

Drive-By Media will have to change its strategy tomorrow

I just listened to Sarah Palin speak at the Republican convention. Wow! What poise and projection.

Then I hurriedly flipped through the channels to see what the liberal media elite were saying. It appeared to me that they were stunned by how well she performed. Some of her harshest critics, such as Campbell Brown, had softened their remarks considerably and were now praising her as a tough, competent mom/woman.

I believe the neglected children strategy has now fallen by the wayside. The Drive-Bys now know she is truly a "pit bull in lipstick." They will probably turn their energy to trying to find more "dirt" to uncover about her. CNN already has sent Kyra Phillips to Alaska for that purpose.

By the way, prior to her speech I listened to Tom Brokaw on MSNBC complain that the current Republican strategy was to criticise the "eastern elite media" (them) and he didn't believe that was fair. Crybaby! You can dish it out but you can't take it.

Thrill Up Your Leg

Did you get an opportunity to see Pat Buchanan's exchange with Chrissy prior to Sarah Palin's speech?

Buchanan and Chrissy were discussing her forthcoming speech, and Buchanan asked Chrissy that if he, Chrissy, enjoyed Gov. Palin's speech would Chrissy "feel a thrill going up his leg". I can't remember exactly what Chrissy said in reply, but he was clearly unhappy with Pat's remark.

Pat was in great form tonight. He is as enthusiastic about Gov. Palin as we are.

I mentioned it to Mark Finkelstein..it was priceless...

It was far before her speech, but they were commenting about her speech beforehand..and  Chris replied...that line is getting a little old now Pat..a good one though..or something to that affect..no he wasn't happy..Pat put in a good zinger to Chris...I loved it.

Btw...this was about the msm and the bias with the Obama speech ect...let alone with what they are doing with Sarah and her family.

Oh, I whole heartedly agree.

Can we finally get women out of the workforce and back in the kitchen?

Ok, no? How about all the women on MSNBC? And yes that includes Olbermann and Chrissy Mathews.

This is truly reaching insane levels. Where is the motrin?
