Sunday Funnies: 'The Greatest Obama Story Ever Told'

As NewsBusters reported Sunday, comedians claim to be having a tough time finding material to write about the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Well, the following satirical book -- let me reiterate that this is satirical! -- entitled "The Audacity of the Dope" proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that America's so-called funny men just aren't trying hard enough.

Posted at the website The People's Cube, this is guaranteed to make open-minded folks of all political persuasions chuckle...hopefully.

And please remember before you go below the fold, this is all a joke and meant in good fun. If you can't find humor in this man, please go no further (h/t NBer Viper):

CHAPTER 1 - THE BEGINNING OF THE START

Barack Obama was born Steven Urkel in a log cabin near Springfield, Illinois. His father was a militant piano tuner from one of those African countries where they change the national boundaries every other week. His mother was a loan officer at the Oppressed Proletariat Bank and Trust Company where she spent her days rejecting loans to people who had little more to cling to than God and guns. As a communist, she hated that her job forced her to oppress the poor and disenfranchised; but, also as a communist, she loved power and control so she threw herself into her work with alacrity. His father, not finding a large number of militant pianos in the American Great Plains, left the fledgling family for places with more bellicose musical tastes, leaving young Steven and his mom to fight capitalism alone.

It's hell when stupidity/political correctness gets in the way of being funny.

Limited Disclosure: I used to belong to the Sierra Club untill they went crazier. Worse of all, I was bribed by Exxon with free New Orleans Saints glasses with fill ups in the 70's.

What I love about "The Peoples Cube" is that it takes place in an alternate reality that would be very close to the communist utopia liberals think they actually would want.

I think its awesome that they dare make fun of the Obamacon.

Even better I think its great they make fun of liberals (socialist re-gressives).

...Of course I'm sure the comedy value is lost on most liberals (social re-gressive communists) being they were born without the part of the human brain able to recognize Irony and Hypocrisy.

It reminds me of what SNL used to do back in the day--back when they were funny. I'm not calling for quotas in political humor. Republicans offer up so much to snicker and giggle about. But the Democrat side contains lots of stuff to laugh at too.

If you're not laughing at this, you're biased, thin-skinned, and completely lacking a sense of humor.

You guys can find all the humor you want in Obama - Dennis Miller once called Dan Quayle the Rosetta Stone of comedy - and that can also be said for Obama's politics, senatorial record, and his messianic status among progressives.

Greg Gutfeld of Fox News' Redeye said he heard that Obama's handlers wiped him down with a sheet after one of his basketball workouts and they came away with The Shroud Of Obama.

If anyone else had made the 57 states and 8-10 years gaffes that Obama has made, they would be the running gag of every late-nite comedian, not to mention Jon Stewart et al, for weeks on end, and exrapolated to endless other subjects as well.

Yes this is funny Noel, but was it satirical to remind us at least three times that this is only a joke?

That's the part I took as satire, the reminding. We as conservatives, do get it. Unlike liberals, we (the great unwashed), did get the New Yorkers cover art as satire. But all satire contains more than one kernel of truth.

I thought it was hilarious that liberals had to constantly remind everyone that the New Yorkers cover was only a joke, they said it's the way Republicans paint Obami and his Mrs. My answer to that little take was "says you"! It's only liberals that I've ever seen who dwell on anything racial or prejudicial. They see "code words" or some such BS in everything. So let 'em, I don't care what a liberal thinks, ever. So yes Noel, we do get the satire.
