Hardy har har har...
I did think the story about his mom coming over and washing out his mouth with soap because there is no reason to ever use that kind of language was funny!
I love his mom.

McCain is an honerable man
July 20, 2008 - 00:01 ET by Captain RepusMcCain is an honerable man and I very much respect him and his service to our country, but after months of watching and listening to him I fear that he is definitely not capable of competing with, let alone defeating Obammy. McCain is like Bob Dole without the dog sitting next to him (of course with his wife he shouldn't need the Viagra).
He gives the impression of a nervous, unconfident and un-charismatic old man who is more interested in having everyone like him than having the winning instinct necessary to run an effective campaign. (incidentally, I am not much younger than he is).
Our party needs to somehow force a change in our ticket before there is no chance of avoiding defeat in November. Someone needs to start a movement of rejecting his nomination at the convention and putting up someone who can create enough excitement within the party to motivate our voters to the polls and try to upset the seemingly inevitible election of an America-hating socialist/pacifist and his wife who will effectively disarm our nation and turn those of us who are still proud men into a mini-European welfare state at the mercy of a very dangerous world.
My choice would be a Romney/Steele, Romney/Fiorina or Romney/Gingrich ticket. What do you think? If nobody else is interested in opining, I will just sit here for a while looking at the 'up your arsenal' girl to the right with the world-class legs.
McCain is an honorable man
July 20, 2008 - 00:01 ET by merlin61Yes, he is an honorable man, but he cannot speak
like GWB. They say that GWB is not intelligent,
but Mc Cain is so slow in his speech he puts me
to sleep before he completes a sentence and he
has no guts whatsoever in saying what he wants
to accomplish. He's too slow for our current
youthful population. He needs to speed it up and
say what he means and do what he says faster.
He's too laid back right now, possibly because
people say he has a temper and he's trying to hide it.
CapR... Hey...I agree
July 20, 2008 - 00:07 ET by bigtimerCapR...
Hey...I agree with your sentiments...
What more can I say... I feel the same way...but what the heck can we do...seriously?
I've been sick about this for months..I have wished that our convention would do something drastic...like have the delegates name Romney or something!
Steele works fine for me... Anything just about is better than McCain.
We all respect him for his service...
He is still a flip-flopping RINO to me.

It does seem pretty
July 20, 2008 - 00:26 ET by Captain RepusIt does seem pretty hopeless but I refuse to give up. Even if we cannot put up a viable candidate I have some faith in red-neck America to somehow defeat the empty-suit socialist.
CR, I agree. McCain must be forced off the ticket.
July 20, 2008 - 00:28 ET by R D HelmMcCain clearly doesn't have what it takes to win this thing. He has been given so many opportunities by the Obama campaign, yet he appears afraid to truly exploit any of them in a meaningful way.
The repubs were caught napping yet again (imagine my surprise), and allowed the lefty MSM to essentially select their candidate for them.
However, I really don't blame the MSM for this. I blame the republicans themselves, both elected and otherwise, as they once again allowed themselves to be manipulated by the MSM.
Even though I sense many dems are beginning to experience bouts of "buyer's remorse" over Obama, I further sense McCain hasn't a clue as how to exploit this to his benefit.

For the life of me I don't
July 20, 2008 - 00:35 ET by Captain RepusFor the life of me I don't understand how he got the nomination. As I watched the Rep. debates I felt that there was no comparison of his idiotic grinning mannerism, inability to make a coherent statement that didn't start off with "I was a foot soldier in the Reagan....." followed by repetition of the same stale comments over and over again with Romney's adult, coherent position statements and charasmatic presentation.
I cannot imagine how different the race would be at this point if Romney had been selected. I cannot understand how clear thinking Republicans could have made such a tragic error in judgement.
"clear thinking Republicans"
July 20, 2008 - 00:39 ET by Clear thinkerDon't blame me, I voted for Fred!

A sound choice. I too would
July 20, 2008 - 00:43 ET by Captain RepusA sound choice. I too would have voted for Fred but I was a little disappointed in his presentation as compared to Romney. A Romney/Thompson ticked would have been unbeatable IMO.
He, Huck and the msm
July 20, 2008 - 00:43 ET by bigtimerCapR...
He, Huck and the msm worked together...open primaries...and Crist in Fla...then you have the good ol' know it all boy big wigs in the GOP behind the scenes who think they know better for all of us...strategery don't ya' know...on and on...
My friend...wink wink... (that got old too...)
The GOP has no back-bone...look at '06 and really even before that at times with their planning and backing RINOs in different districts and states....instead of the conservatives that had a hell of a chance...

July 20, 2008 - 00:50 ET by Captain RepusI forgot about the "My friends..." idiocy, but I don't know how I forgot since he STILL does that. Great advisors he has, huh?
