George Carlin, the comedian who died a few weeks ago, became famous practically overnight due to his controversial routine about the seven words you can't say on television.
Apparently, Carlin was wrong, because there's another word you can't say: NUTS.
Of course, it goes without saying that if you're referring to food, or someone's sanity, this four-letter word is just fine.
However, if you're talking about someone's naughty bits, as the following hysterical video created by our friends at 23/6 demonstrates, this seemingly innocent word doesn't slip off the tongue very easily (h/t TVNewser, photo courtesy ABC News):
Hehehehehe.

Well, I cannot speak for TV, as I really do not watch that anymore, but I managed to catch about thirty minutes of The Neal Boortz Radio Show on my way into work this morning.
Must have heard it ten or twelve times. Proper context and all.

Noel,
July 10, 2008 - 22:41 ET by R D HelmNot especially. My parents never, EVER let us watch it, so I nerver really got into it.
-They would, however, let us watch Laugh In. :-)
Actually, I was thinking of the George Carlin routine you mentioned. I haven't heard it in years, but I vividly recall him taking one of the "seven words" and putting it behind the name Nabisco, as in "new Nabisco t*ts."
Sorry. Long day. :-(

July 11, 2008 - 01:31 ET by mattmI wonder if it would have been so difficult for them to repeat it if it had been said by some red neck honky republican peckerwood....
BTW - just a thought that popped into my head: If some people are voting for Osama just because he's black, wouldn't they only get half a vote, since he's only half black? Or would that be nuts?
I'm just hoping that after they are severed

7/10/08 on FoxNews Special Report
July 11, 2008 - 13:15 ET by SamI was watching FoxNews Special Report last night where they were talking about the issue of black father's having kids and leaving, etc and one of the reporters was talking from an urban ghetto (complete with boarded up windows). As he's talking about these issues a black woman walks by in the background and drops her trash on the ground. You can't make this stuff up folks! Talk about talking NO personal responsibility. I'm glad I had the DVR to share it with my wife.
That's ok, you can't say "crap" on the radio either.
July 12, 2008 - 02:29 ET by mastersofdeceitAccording to a song by SLF. (click & scroll up a little)
It's based on a real incident in 1979 after Jake Burns used the word in a Metro Radio interview, and the "shocked" reaction that followed.
You'd think after a certain event in '76, a delay button would be in play.
SLF would later cause a "controversy" and calls for banning over their song "White Noise". And in 1991 would have their single "Beirut Moon" pulled from shops on the first day of sale. Which looking back now should have seemed like a foreshadowing of all the PC to come out of Britain and the EU.
(this is just a little OT friday night fun on Noel's headline)
