Noel, thank you for posting this.
June 18, 2008 - 21:52 ET by R D HelmIt was one of the most moving things I have ever seen.
Whatever some people may think about his somewhat liberal politics (and I never felt he was all that liberal, honestly) it is obvious that Tim loved his family dearly, and that they loved him back even more.
I think the young Luke Russert has a very bright future ahead of him, no matter what he chooses to do with his life.

Amen. I saw all of it

I saw all of it today.
If it's Sunday...it's Meet the Press.

I watched some of that
June 18, 2008 - 22:25 ET by Cureboy675I watched some of that today, too. It was very sweet.
They said that McCain and Obama both attended the funeral today (without any fanfare, it was never really officially announced until after the fact) and that both of them sat together (not as politicians running for President, but as two guys who wished to pay their respects) and that they had a genuinely pleasant discussion together.
I think that says alot about how much Tim Russert was respected.
Amen, Noel

Luke Russert
June 19, 2008 - 01:50 ET by allamericangirlThis young man is Tim's real legacy.
Well done Mr. Russert
I liked Russert and Meet the Press.
June 19, 2008 - 07:33 ET by ChiefE9I thought it was just too much hoopla.
He wasn't a world leader, just a news reporter.
Does anyone here know
June 19, 2008 - 07:34 ET by sarcasmoWhere there'd be a YouTube of "Uncle Tony" playing the guitar at this same event? He was great, and I'd like to see it again, so TIA if you know where to find this easily. [edit: it's here.]

I watched the Memorial
June 19, 2008 - 09:11 ET by marpelI watched the Memorial service. It was lovely. He left a wonderful legacy in Luke. And the rainbow after the service was nothing short of mystical. Do you think Tim was shining down on the crowd?
Sometimes "just a news
June 19, 2008 - 09:11 ET by suzycreamcheeseSometimes "just a news reporter" can be like a rockstar in his field. I think what made Russert stand out is that he works in a sea of disingenous talking heads and that's why he was so respected.
Wow, Luke looks just like Tim.
