If the official John McCain for President website featured an anti-Semitic article about the Jewish lobby, would media report it?

To my knowledge, McCain's site doesn't feature a open-forum community blog where anyone could post anything they want within minutes of registering.   It tried it over at Obama's, and my post features this nice disclaimer at the bottom:

So there's really nothing to report, other than maybe Obama should rethink the idea of having an open forum on his website, or perhaps have more people monitoring what gets posted there.  (However, within an hour of my post being put up, it had already moved down to the third page, so there is obviously a lot of traffic.   It'd be hard to monitor 24/7.)

There are plenty of liberal Democrats out there who would throw over Israel in a heart beat but won't say so openly. They secretly share the sentiments of that French diplomat who once described Israel as a "sh*tty little country" at a dinner party; for them it's a settler state imposed by the Balfour Declaration with no real mandate to exist and it's more trouble than it's worth being its ally. And these same Democrat libs would throw over blacks for illegal Mexicans too because, as one lib explained to me, the Mexicans work harder than the brothers who have been spoiled over the years by welfare (of course he failed to catch the irony of who created that welfare state).

The political tectonic plates in this country are shifting and grinding, and a lot of the result won't be very pretty. My prediction for the next few years.

i am surprised at you.  your article makes it sound as if this was an officially sanctioned article.  it is part of the blog, and as you know, the site cannot be held responsible for the bloggers content. all they can do is remove it when they see it. otherwise, visitors to this site would think that my posts are representative of NewsBusters, and we both know that isn't true.

as far as how the msm would handle this if it was on mccain's site, i don't know. i can conjecture, but that is all it is, conjecture. my conjecture COULD be that the msm would be outraged that bloggers do this kind of thing and warn the public that this isn't mccain's thoughts, but the demented mind of a anonymous blogger.

My first thought is that is obviously a dirty trick. The only question is whose fingerprints are on it. I don't think we will be able to trace them at all. Lee Atwater would be proud.

There will be more of these to come, and the way this one has propogated through the blogosphere shows that we can probably expect them on a weekly basis from now until november.

I'm sure many blogs have suspicions as to the source of this, but it's better to keep these suspicions to yourself, because it doesn't matter how Hussein is defeated.
