Each and everytime I see the media let him slide on his gaffes I am amazed. Then I see what passes for "reporting" and I guess I am just saddened.

This is like The Twilight Zone. I'm beginning to feel like the test subject in a grand psychological experiment, where unseen scientists in lab coats, working behind the scenes, present us with increasingly improbable situations, just to measure how we react.

• Think about it. A radical liberal, who's spent barely one year in the senate, declares that Washington is broken. His solution? To lead the very same.
• He rises to the top of the political structure of the most powerful country in the world ... by merely spouting soothing bromides of unity. And yet, as every day passes, we accumulate more evidence of his associations with every element of the Unhinged Left (radical ex-hippies, black liberation separatists, etc.) that has been working to destroy the unity that the candidate speaks so fondly of. 
  • How is it that the man who wants to bring us together has spent so much time with people who've actively worked to tear us apart?
• His political philosophy is mere emotion. As Charles Krauthammer described it, his entire foreign policy started out as a gaffe from a debate, but instead of apologizing for it, he's "doubled down" on it to make it the centerpiece of his foreign policy.
• He insinuates his opponent must be senile because of a gaffe or two, and then talks of being in 57 states. His chief quality is his soaring oratory, which now has him seeing dead people.

In any other year, this kind of presidential candidate would have been laughed off. Yet the press is falling all over him.

It's just too improbable to believe. We have to start looking around to find the scientists in the white lab coats. We have to get out of their maze before they do any more damage. After all, some people are taking this candidate seriously.

Out of all the 57-60 states, really what better place.

On a more serious note -- I watched his speech yesterday, and watched him struggle through it. Very choppy, kinda like he was being forced to do this, yet didn't know what to say. Has anyone else noticed his choppy, uncertain style of speaking lately? I've noticed it ever since he was forced to respond to Whrite's antics. He just doesn't seem to be able to speak "off-the-cuff" very well.

Quayle, who many don't realize was almost personally responsible for keeping the Patriot missile system alive in the 80s, was ridiculed for his spelling abilities, yet nary a negative word dared be spoken about the Messiah, no matter what idiocy he spouts.

The MSM's partisanship is breathtaking.

Again, Balboa, misses the point. The issue's not necessarily what the person said, but how the media covers it. If Obama were Republican, these gaffes would be all over the media - whether you think they're serious or not. I know you will disgree with this, but I think the evidence compiled here over the years would convince many open-minded people.

I'm sure both of these "equal opportunity" comedians will spend lots of time, especially everyone's hero Jon Stewart, making fun of these mistakes.
