In the wake of an insult that exists only in their minds and never in my words or in my heart, there remains I think only one question to ask: Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin, why do you hate our troops?

Who does this washed-up sports jockey think he's fooling with that last line?  Olbermann has become an incoherent, drooling self-parody.  Get the net.

First, let me note that Olberman has a gigantic ego, and no doubt wants to be some kind of modern-day Edward R. Murrow, which he can't do.

Second, let me see if I follow this argument by KO: He's saying that the cold-blooded killers are the people in his administration who sent the troops to war, right? 

KO seems to thing dialing up the rhetoric will help his relevance. Not sure that's gonna do the trick. 

Olbermann vilifies our troops as "cold blooded killers," Laura Ingraham and Mark Levin justifiably condemn Olbermann in response, followed by Olbermann claiming that Ingraham and Levin hate the troops.

Nice try, Keith, but no one on the sane side of the aisle is buying it.

Olby is an egomaniac -- but I think he means the terrorists themselves, who he believes Bush has emboldened with the Iraq war -- they are killing for political ends etc. What Olby doesn't realize is that they killed for political ends long before the war, 9/11 for example.  He hates the military, that's for sure -- but he isn't stupid enough to baldly state it either. No good leftist ever reveals their hand -- hence, the reason for Obama's popularity.

I wonder if we should have a Countdown for just how long Keith will last at msnbc.

I used to think at least until after the election...but....he is really losing it fast...the traitor to this country IMHO.

Olby is equal in seriousness and stature to an Air America retiree.

Keith Olbermann is being closely watched and every word he says is being noted. He will not be able to weasel around smart people like Ms. Ingraham and Mr. Levin. He got called out, his rationalization was punk speak, and he's gone further down the road to ruin he has been so unwittingly following.

Herr Lieutant Olbermann  is a  malicious faggot that embarrasess the gay community.

Many of us have said that Olbermann makes his living by mocking people and throwing sensationalist media bombs. Media bombs only work when they have some core of shocking truth, but Keith has an hour-long bombthrowing show to fill five nights a week. There just aren't that many bombs to throw that have any core of truth. So, Keith has a choice.

• He can either throw fewer bombs (which he won't do because he needs them to retain the small audience he has), or
• He has to forget about truth and just throw whatever's available. The problem is that without truth, media bombs blow up as soon as you light the fuse. 

Olbermann ran out of truth a long time ago, if he ever had it in the first place. His bombs have been duds, so all he has to throw is manufactured, self-serving "outrage." A low-rated TV host, during a time of war and when soldiers are in harm's way, yelling at the president to "shut the hell up," shows a stunning, self-indulgent ignorance. And yet, this ignorant jackass presumes to tell us what's going on the world. It is inevitable that he'd do himself in. I just hope the blast cleans out that smug and narcissistic echo chamber he has on his show. We can all survive better without the snarky witticisms from Dana Milbank, Richard Wolffe, Jonathan Alter, and the unbearable Rachel Maddow.

Is this "Special Comment" the one that gets him? Probably not, but it's getting closer and closer. One, maybe another, but that'll be it. Good riddance.

We are observing the complete meltdown and self-destruction of Keith Olbermann.

First, his off-camera tantrum during the Primary coverage last Tuesday, followed by his girlyesque snit the next evening, which drew the brillant volleys from Ingraham and Levin the Great. Keith was unable to stomach the criticism that he loves to dish out and he has the weakest response of all time by asking if they hate the troops.

Completely limp.

I forsee him committing suicide via drugs or alcohol or both. This is a dead soul. When GOD refers to "the dead" in the Bible, He is not talking about cadavers...He is speaking of individuals like Olby...very much alive, but quite dead, indeed.

As his paranoia become more pronounced, I do believe we are witnessing a nervous breakdown in the making.

Being an ex sportscaster, he could go back to reporting something more important like six year olds catching greased pigs at rodeos.

I truely dispise this pitiful excuse for a tv personality. I only hope when he finally explodes that the collateral damage will take out a few of those at the top of the food chain that put him on the air in the first place.

This is propaganda pure and simple. KO is doing what propaganda ministers have done down through history. He's casting his own evil onto other people to take the heat off of himself. "See? I might be bad but they're worse."

I disagree with Mark - dont fire him. Let him continue - he's a reflection of his bosses and people will figure it out.

I think this is matter of respecting the armed forces. Olbermann is one of those radicals who have no respect for the troops, thinking that they joined the military as a social/jobs program and were unprepared for going to war. He, like all his "elitist" friends, think our brave men and women are all dumb hillbillies who didn't know any better. He has no respect for their decision, their intelligence, training, preparation, skills, patriotism, or their commitment to serve. He doesn't understand them, wouldn't do what they do and transfers his lack of understanding and resolve onto them. It is the depth of disrespect and ignorance.
