For general discussion and debate. Possible talking point: Republican Party leads Democrats in fund-raising:
The Democratic National Committee ended 2007 nearly flat broke, with cash of $2.9 million and debts of $2.2 million. Since then it has raised some money, paid down debt and managed to put $3.7 million in its piggy bank. This compares, however, with $25 million that the Republican National Committee has in cash on hand, after having raised $97 million since the beginning of 2007.
Does this make a difference in the calculus concerning November? More to the point, despite media and Democrat assertions that the GOP is in a lot of trouble, have such prognostications been as accurate as Hillary's inevitability? Do these numbers make some of the conservative Nervous Nellies less anxious about Republican chances on Election Day?

March 7, 2008 - 11:42 ET by TinianI'm glad you admitted that Ron Paul is a racist.

The Question You'll Never Answer
March 7, 2008 - 13:27 ET by TinianIn other words, you won't comment on Ron Paul's newsletter full of racist and anti-semetic material as well as totally wacked out conspiracy theories. Ron Paul, of course, said he didn't write any of this material published in his name, and his supporters accepted this implausible explanation without question.
Did you ever consider the fact that anybody who let someone publish this kind of stuff in his name, for over a decade, isn't qualified to run a Dairy Queen?
Eh?
"Without question"?
March 7, 2008 - 14:13 ET by sarcasmoNow you're even more full of crap than usual...And did you just "prove" Reagan's a racist, or are you actually going to back off what you claimed about Paul on the exact same issue? Flip, flop. Again.

Answer the Question
March 7, 2008 - 14:35 ET by TinianI proved that you won't explain why Ron Paul, who let someone publish racist and anti semetic material in his name for over a decade, is qualified to run even a Dairy Queen.

March 7, 2008 - 14:59 ET by sarcasmoWhat's never-happening is YOU answering my "distinguish Paul from Ronald Reagan" question, because you know you can't, so you're desperately trying to change the subject. It's not working, though.

You Can Read it Out Loud if Necessary
March 7, 2008 - 15:56 ET by TinianWhat's never-happening is YOU answering my "distinguish Paul from Ronald Reagan" question...
Sigh! Once more -- R.R. didn't say or write:
Ron Paul, however, did. There's a bit more to it than MLK's birthday, and in Ron Paul's case he's exhibited a pattern of making racist comments and publishing racist writings.
Now it's your turn.
Explain why Ron Paul, who let someone publish racist and anti semetic material in his name for over a decade, is qualified to run even a Dairy Queen.
Nope.
March 7, 2008 - 16:05 ET by sarcasmoAs you already know, Ron Paul did NOT write that (he did write this) so you're being typically-dishonest. Further, your attempt to distinguish Reagan is a bit lame, considering your earlier words which relied SOLELY on the MLK holiday position as a measure of racism, so you lose on that count, too. Flip, flop....
JMR
A corruption-story the TV media will-not cover.
You Know What I Know? Hahaa!
March 7, 2008 - 16:50 ET by TinianAs you already know, Ron Paul did NOT write that...
How do you know that I know that? I don't know that. And why was Ron Paul asleep at the wheel when it was being published under his name?
Further, your attempt to distinguish Reagan is a bit lame, considering your earlier words which relied SOLELY on the MLK holiday position as a measure of racism, so you lose on that count, too.
Nope -- I just used one example of Ron Paul's racism. I didn't need to use all of them. Besides, it would take many hours to produce a comprehensive list of Ron Paul's racist writings and comments.
So you lose again.
Now let's return to your first point, that Ron Paul didn't write those things. Why did he allow someone to write those comments in his name? Why did Ron Paul allow the following comment about MLK to be published in his name:
"He was also a comsymp, if not an actual party member, and the man who replaced the evil of forced segregation with the evil of forced integration.
King, the FBI files show, was not only a world-class adulterer, he also seduced underage girls and boys. The Rev. Ralph David Abernathy revealed before his death that king had made a pass at him many years before.
And we are supposed to honor this "Christian minister" and lying socialist satyr with a holiday that puts him on a par with George Washington?"
Now explain why Ron Paul, who allowed someone publish racist and anti semetic material in his name for over a decade, is qualified to run even a Dairy Queen.
I'll tell you why
