It's a sad day for conservative Jack Nicholson fans, for the face and voice of such marvelous movie characters like Billy Buddusky, J.J. Gittes, R.P. McMurphy, Jack Torrance, and Garrett Breedlove has actually created a video supporting Hillary Clinton for President:
Will you ever be able to watch his movies again without having this support for Hillary on your mind?

Knowing Nicholson's
March 1, 2008 - 17:23 ET by Chris NormanKnowing Nicholson's politics all along, I was prepared for this. Still, even now, sometimes it's difficult to reconcile an actor's on-screen persona with their personal liberal political beliefs. For people who want to be known for their individuality, they all seem to have a herd mentality, politically.
Glad you approved it Jack

March 1, 2008 - 19:22 ET by ArcherBTo say you "Could care less" means that you care some, so much in fact that you could even care less. In other words, you care. I think what you meant to say is, "I could NOT care less." Which means you care the exact minimum amount and caring less would be impossible.
It would be like if you saw a guy you knew from high school standing on the corner asking for change. Would you say, "He could stoop lower" or would you say, "he could not have stooped any lower"?
Please, get it right. You just sound ignorant if you don't and you make us all look bad.

Not some idiot that uses THE JOKER to attest to their credibility.
Don't we need a President we can trust to be ready to go on day one?
Sure we do ... and we've already got him ... John McCain.
Who has a plan to make the United States a socialist state?
Sir Edmund Hillary Clinton.
Who has a plan for complete defeat and retreat in Iraq?
Hillary Rotten Clinton.
So let's get real about the future ... let's follow Germany's legal precedent and BAN the Democrat Party from the United States.
Hillary Clinton should be spending life behind bars for all the laws she's broken and all the people she's destroyed, NOT running for the highest office in the land.

To top it off...can anyone even imagine his line about nothing more sexy than having to salute a woman (meaning Hill)...oh give me a break!!!! Surely he must be joking or he has lost his ever lovin' senile mind.
Unfortunately as far as watching any of his or any of the other leftists in Hollywood when it comes to them and their big mouths inserting their politics on all of us...well, I wouldn't be able to watch many movies anymore if it went by that...
Why can they not just shut the hell up and stick to acting on the big screen....it does make it harder to watch a movie anymore when seeing these leftists on the screen, it is a distraction for me, I do think of their politics and how much I personally detest them, instead of possibly enjoying what may be a good flick.

March 1, 2008 - 18:41 ET by fitzfongA few weeks ago I read that Jack Nicholson was supporting Hillary Rotten...some clever headline writer referred to McMurphy endorsing Nurse Ratched. I never understood the appeal of Jack Nicholson...ever since "The Shining", he's essentially played the same caricature time and time again. He was good in 3 movies: The Last Detail, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Chinatown. And as that rapist Chinatown director Roman Polanski performed his infamous act of child molestation in Jack Nicholson's house (especially ironic when you consider the John Huston character in that film), I lost a hell of a lot of respect for "Jack Being Jack" Nicholson and his "thoughtful" opinions. Besides how can you trust the opinion of a guy who wears sunglasses to Laker games (or someone who goes to Laker games, for that matter) and uses a 9-Iron to settle his traffic disputes?
He played the wannabe
March 2, 2008 - 05:17 ET by ahusserHe played the wannabe hippie in Easy Rider who is killed by the evil rednecks okies. Apparently he never grew up and still wants to be a hippie. I have often observed actors of the lefty stripe like to play the parts of evil right wing types they apparently despise, why I am not sure. Tim Robbins comes to mind as the evil domestic terrorist in Arlington Road, the whole cast of Wall Street etc. I am sure, in Hollywood, you are not invited to a lot of social functions if you have outspoken conservative views not to mention getting work.

March 1, 2008 - 18:27 ET by zhombreI really thought the advertisement was a joke until old bloated Jack showed up at the end to give it his on-camera imprimatur. This is sad. Nicholson has morphed into a rich old kook with scads of money and a great accrual of vanity who thinks his opinion matters to all the little people out there who've watched his movies over the years.

March 2, 2008 - 05:45 ET by ahusserAlmost every action movie has a conservative boogie man evil patriot theme or some anti US or US Government line even older movies in TV or rerun mode. MI III, evil twisted uber patriotic traitor. Most recent Die Hard quote: "Look how long it took the government to respond to Katrina". The Rock: evil renegade, venal, thug U.S. Marines and evil CIA types. Die Hard 2: evil, violent, venal, renegade, traitorous military types and stupid Cops except for Willis of course. All the Bourne movies, Most of the Clooney movies. The Matrix: let's kill any one who looks like a cop. ad infinitum. To my mind most of the Nicolas Cage or Will Smith movies don't seem to have any lefty bias, but I might have missed it. Even though I enjoy many of these movies for their action I always have to disregard the openly biased parts. My mostly wife says I imagine the bias. I sometimes wish I imagined the bias cause it is there and apparently most either miss it or like myself, gloss over it, without official complaint.

March 1, 2008 - 19:40 ET by drillanwrWhat gets me, above all the rhetoric about cutting defense spending, national healthcare for Jack, and for Bill Gates ... Is this whole going to unify the country ... bring the country together clap. AS IF it ever really was unified or together before ... Why do they think we have separate parties, separate religions, etc. ...
But then, of course, under Hillary Care or B-HO Care we'll ALL be given lobotomies and THEN we'll ALL think alike and be unified ... together ... around the government provided drool buckets.

March 1, 2008 - 19:49 ET by mostlymoderateI have lowered my standards SO low this election season that I am just happy it is not another endorsement for Obama. I am sick and tired of Obama being "the chosen one" that gets NO ridicule or criticism. Sure, Hillary is a complete disaster; however, she has not been labeled the "messiah" in the media like Obama.
How low conservatives?
March 2, 2008 - 08:00 ET by AgnosticHow low have conservatives in come when the media have forced us to defend Senator Clinton against the diefication of Senator Obama? March 1, 2008 - 19:57 ET by JerryPersonally, I don't have a problem with Jack coming out in SUPPORT of a candidate, though I do question his sanity. What I cannot tolerate are those empty headed actors & actresses who don't support anything but simply bash Bush and America, ala Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito, etc.

Weird guy.
The fight was good though.

March 2, 2008 - 02:48 ET by KC MulvilleThis one little ad didn't bother me.
Nicholson wasn't trying to lecture, or talk down to anyone. In fact, under the circumstances, he seemed fairly restrained. He was just asking, citizen to citizen, for support for his candidate. This was actually a "modest" ad, and it was fine by me.
But you're right, Noel -- he's a guy I wish was on our side.

March 2, 2008 - 16:25 ET by tracyz20Did anyone read the article a couple of months ago which was linked on Ann Coulter's site as "liberals I like"? It was in Esquire, it was an entertaining article and actually shows that he is a bit more reasonable than the grand majority of Hollwood liberals in that he actually read Treason in order to understand and learn about where the other side is coming from and he doesn't believe the Iraq war was about oil.

Vintage Jack, easily his best movie in years, and easily the best performance of 2006.
I can only assume he was on a Hollywood blacklist as a closet Republican, hence the Hillary vid this time around.
