The folks at General Electric must be so proud of their cable news network MSNBC.
Not only does one of its top stars regularly debase the President of the United States, but also his most recent tirade actually garnered the attention of an Iranian television network.
Coincidentally, the good folks at Press TV are just as enamored with Keith Olbermann as his fans at Daily Kos (h/t JWF):
In a scathing commentary against President George W. Bush, MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann declared Bush guilty of terrorism for playing what he sees as the fear card in an attempt to get the House to pass retroactive immunity for telecommunication companies that illegally helped the US government in its warrantless wiretapping program Thursday evening.

He also called Bush a fascist.
It must make MSNBC execs quite pleased to know their product is highly-regarded by one of America's sworn enemies. You think Ahmadinejad is a "Countdown" fan?
Of course, most American journalists would eschew getting praise from an Iranian television station. Alas, Olbermann likely will wear it as a badge of honor.
What does that say about his biases, and the idea that an American cable news network not only allows him to speak to the nation for 60 minutes five days a week, but also puts him in the role of commentator during debates and primary coverage?
On the flipside, maybe this makes good business sense.
Before you laugh, consider Olbermann's atrocious ratings in the States. Maybe MSNBC has given up on American viewers, and, instead, is actually appealing to Islamo-fascists around the world.
Wouldn't that explain a lot?

Iranian state controlled news organizations apparently have higher standards than MSNBC, which, as we know, insists that Olbermann is a straight foward newsman. I guess that couldn't pass the Persian "giggle test."
Gawd, when dictatorships have ethical standards for its journalists that MSNBC doesn't, something is really wrong.

I know a few folks from Iran through the local soccer community, they would'nt have him. They left Iran because they wanted nothing to do with the totalitarian gov't in charge there. Much like most euro-Americans, fleeing wars, communism, fascism, & bad royalty.
BathTubBoy comes from a well to do part of NY, is an IvyLeaguer, & would be considered to be one the "liberal elites", he would'nt understand much of what these people left behind. I don't know what people like Frank Rich and this ilk which makes a 6 to 7 figure living off of bashing the United States do in the small ours of the morning when it is just them and them........and that small voice talking to them.
Warning lights should go off for a person if an Iranian is a fan of what you are saying and yet Olberman doesn't get phased at all.
I will not say how I did it, but I played for a time with these anarchists and can state I was published more than once by them. It is quite easy to fool them and even easier to write things they will use in pushing buttons.
Take a visit on Jeff Rense's site which is the foment of Oblerman's rants in the same source as Moveon, HuffPo, Kos, Capitol Hill Blue. I noticed something as of late.........there are few stories now listed on the sites..........they are now a majority of BLOGGERS posting things with no facts at all.
People think the MSM is horrid in twisting things. The spawn of Olberman where he is playing from is pure internuts anarchy.
I studied them, interacted with them and they are not a nice group of people. For the most part they are control freaks, looking for a money god to prosper off of in sowing the new Molotov Mob story and quite snotty. Hence poster boy Olberman.
Olberman I have become convinced knew he was about to be fired and used Al Franken's tactic to greatness in attaching himself to Bill O'Reilly.........he found his niche group broadcasting George Soros propaganda from George Soros funded sites.
In watching him interact with Bob Costas, I don't believe for a second Olberman believes half of what he spews. He just knows his audience in the buttons to push like I found out how to and the rest is a big bank account.
Olberman isn't that bright or he would lecture, write books like Nixon on policy or not be posting on Kos. He is though adept as a circus barker.
I do believe the day will come when he will look back with great regret when he sees what he has brought onto America and the world. Maybe when that happens America will be invaded by then or it might be the dark days ahead. He will either then come clean or be like most of these cowards and find him dead drunk literally.
