Well isn't this special?
Not only does Keith Olbermann get to attack the President of the United States on national television five nights a week, but now he's giving previews of his deplorable rants at the far-left website Daily Kos.
All likely with the blessing of MSNBC's top brass, I suppose.
After all, they're clearly not trying to hide their political leanings anymore. So, why should they care if one of their hosts speaks and writes such detritus that it evokes the following vitriolic commentary from his readers aimed at America's president (vulgarity alert, h/t NBer Thomas Stewart):
Go KO! Stick a shovel up Bush's ass! (27+ / 0-)"Somewhere. Someone's god is laughing." - Three Days Grace

and twist it...N/T (13+ / 0-)
It was a time of desperate need for heroes - any kind of heroes. "Twice Upon a Time"
And, you have to imagine the good folks at MSNBC must be pleased that one of their employee's words leads people to refer to America's president thusly:
Don't hold back, Keith . . . (44+ / 0-)I beg you, just once, before he finally leaves, call him what he is, human fecal matter.
How proud folks at General Electric must be.

February 15, 2008 - 15:21 ET by appst38The Big question is what will happen to Olby's ratings once Bush leaves office. 45 minutes of his show will be dead air because he won't have a target to shoot at. Maybe he is hedging is bets and looking to transition into a staff writer position with the Daily Kooks
Bill... O... Reilly
February 15, 2008 - 16:27 ET by ArcherBHe'll just attack Bill O'Reilly and Fox news for being anti-American traitors because they dare say something bad about the President.

I am to the point I am
February 15, 2008 - 15:26 ET by bigtimerI am to the point I am almost speechless when it comes to what msnbc has become...it is almost beyond comprehension for me, they try to pass this leftist propagandist... who is obviously twisted upstairs... spew his filthy blather nightly...plus be a commentator during the primaries ect as if he really is...we all know the agenda at msnbc, but the despicable disgraceful way they have always treated Pres. Bush is unconscionable.
I personally cannot fathom why this BS has been allowed to continue on and on so long without any incrimination's...I guess I keep thinking they will self-destruct...but the agenda will come first at all costs to the share-holders I guess, if they wanted to change this, they could.
I know what would happen if say Fox and a nightly newscaster linked up with NBs.....of course the problem there is they wouldn't be able to handle the truth....now would they.
I agree, bt....if this type
February 15, 2008 - 15:43 ET by motherbeltI agree, bt....if this type of venom - and I mean foul-mouthed vitriol - was being spewed at Fox against a Democrat the outrage would be deafening.
It is truly mind-boggling.
Bush must doing something
February 15, 2008 - 15:30 ET by mattmBush must doing something right to evoke such insane hatred from these manics.
Bush is doing something right
February 15, 2008 - 15:39 ET by arbin82He keeps beating them (the dems and libs) over and over and over again... and will continue to do so until the end of his presidency.
Not bad for a guy they think is an idiot.
I didn't know he was
February 15, 2008 - 15:38 ET by motherbeltI didn't know he was actually doing previews, but I've maintained for a long time that KO does advance advertising of his Special Comments on his program. He starts many of them with the words "As promised..." which means he has talked about them ahead of time. (Full disclosure: I get that from the transcripts here...I do NOT watch his show!)
So the fact that he is doing preview at dailyKos doesn't surprise me at all. He can't even count on them to watch regularly....he even has to "pimp himself" ahead of time to get them to tune in for his vitriol.
I wonder if Keith Olbermann
February 15, 2008 - 15:56 ET by futbolisgreat1I wonder if Keith Olbermann will be attacking any time soon Liberal Talk Radio host Bernie Ward who has been charged with possesion and distribution of child ponography. I wonder if Keith Olbermann will show his audience the police report in which it shows that a sting operation caught Bernie Ward sending child ponography pictures through the internet?
I mean you know he isn't biased, so I am sure he will attack Bernie Wards just like he attack Rush Limbaugh, right? Should I hold my breath?
Liberals were so disgusted when the Republican Congressman exchanged sexually explicit messages with a page.....we'll they be equally outraged with Bernie Wards? keep in mind he worked for Nancy Pelosi.
What blows my mind
February 15, 2008 - 16:31 ET by lumpyis that MSNBC allows him to co-anchor presidential debates. Will the Republican nominee agree to debate there during general election time?
Right. Don't you know that
February 15, 2008 - 16:40 ET by motherbeltRight. Don't you know that KO is perfectly capable of immediately putting aside his bias, and becoming a completely non-paritsan, neutral moderator?
Can you imagine Democrats letting Rush Limbaugh moderate? And he doesn't even come close to the level of vitriol that Olbermann hurls on a regular basis.
To answer your question: of course. Because Democrats are allowed to set the agenda, always. If the Republican refuses, he will be villified 24 hours a day as being a coward. Of course, if the Democrats refuse Fox News, that's because it's a "principled" stand against Fox's "bias."
And exactly why?
February 15, 2008 - 16:48 ET by Dustin JolleyAnd exactly why hasn't this left-wing, bigoted, moronic "news anchor" been fired yet? Because the brass at NBC and MSNBC agree with everything he says, that's why.
The entire K Olbiedog
February 15, 2008 - 16:45 ET by Gary HallThe entire K Olbiedog existence is beyond sick. Could any journalist get away with KO type of vile smear if they directed it at anything other than a Republican? It's not even acceptable, to the MSM, to talk about the terrorists, who would strap bombs to the bodies of women who are mentally deficient, in the Olbiedog manner. Oh, my mistake.. "to talk about the suspected freedom fighters, who.."
Perhaps what is needed is a million person march on NBC to demand his removal.
Excellent idea Gary H
February 15, 2008 - 17:01 ET by bigtimerPerhaps what is needed is a million person march on NBC to demand his removal.
What grand thought Gary...if only!
bt, even if it were done..
February 15, 2008 - 17:17 ET by Gary Hallbt, even if it were done.. the MSM would downplay the event, skip it entirely, come to the aid of olbiedog, attack the right for attempting to trash freedom of speech and a free press, and/or protray the protesters as a bunch of right wing fascists. right?
Well Gary... now that you

Giving Credibility
February 15, 2008 - 17:16 ET by Solrac7Solrac7 : I think that the less mentioned about this over dolled up so called commentator the better said. He is a waste of type and bandwidth. Nobody of any consequence watches his show. His opinions are over the top. I tried to watch it once so to have an objective opinion and for my own due diligence and it is the blathering of a bona fide idiot.
Sometimes when I read the blogs here, I think that some of you people our way to petty at times. But I will continue scanning for meaningful dialogue.
Keith tonite
February 15, 2008 - 23:25 ET by Jay in NHJust heard a Keith blurb (accidently, I had left MSNBC on from lunchtime) and he professed "a deep, personal affection for both the Clintons". How can GE & NBC continue to let this blowhard masquerade as a journalist? And anchor election coverage?
Because he says "Of course
February 15, 2008 - 23:38 ET by motherbeltBecause he says "Of course I can put my personal feelings aside and be objective."
And his bosses, say "Oh, well that's OK then."

Easy. Keith's employers suffer from the exact same affliction.
