February 12, 2008 - 00:55 ET by bigtimerbotg...
I was just kidding and adding a little sarcasm, guess I should of said so....(I know it's too early)...LMAO!
Btw...yes that's the pole, but the main poles I am talking about are completely separate from the Joshua tree.
the things us kids used to use those for, let alone the adults.... you could just yank those right out of the ground after they were dead...
as an add on botg...not to say the yucca is not very much the off-spring outcome of the Joshua...the base the yucca's come out of are the Joshua, just can't draw a picture here of what I mean.
BT - your "real cousin"

Coming from Minnesota, I AGREE!!!
February 11, 2008 - 19:03 ET by tvogeWhen we had 40-60 degrees in December, I was all for that Global Warming! Any time I don't have to shovel is just fine by me.
I particularly liked the gators and how we couldn't have them because the Muskies would eat them. Either the muskies or the mosquitos.
Great job guys! That is way funny!

February 11, 2008 - 19:47 ET by QueenMumLove it. I shared with my Minnesota relatives and also my daughter and her lib friends in chilly Chi-Town. Thinking of starting a Northern Ohio chapter. :0 LOL

6 degrees
February 11, 2008 - 20:05 ET by iveseenitallI watched a show called Six Degrees for a while the other night. It was insulting and I had to turn it off. These people are arrogant in their ignorance. They want to pass this garbage off as science. Even if any of it were true, it will happen hundreds of years from now. At least they admitted that much. Some geeky-looking guy (a global warming "detective") was there telling people what their houses should look like. He suggested there should be fines and arrests for those who waste energy. I just sat there and laughed. Then I shook my head in disgust. Global Warming---what a hoax!

After the primaries I could use a little chuckle.
Ronald Reagan, 1962: I did not leave the Democratic party, the party left me.

I saw a commercial for that
February 11, 2008 - 20:39 ET by JerryI saw a commercial for that and I thought, "how stupid do they think we are???". It was saying that a 2 degree change would result in the loss of all artic ice.
Let's see... it goes from minus 50 to minus 48 and all the ice will be gone??? I may not be the brightest bulb in the socket, but if I'm not mistaken, there's this 32 F, 0 C water freezing sorta thing going on, I think they made it into a law or something... big fines for violations.

Thinking of starting a Virginia chapter
February 12, 2008 - 01:23 ET by bredbergAs an Minnesotan living in Virginia, I am tired of the schools closing upon the first snowflake. With a little global warming the teachers would not get the day off.
That was hilarious!!

Proof that libs have no sense of humor
February 12, 2008 - 13:16 ET by QueenMumAt least when it comes to providing some balance to the globaloney discussion. Following is the response from one of my daughter's lib friends - a college-educated young woman with a Master's degree who will soon be teaching young children in the public schools of Chicago. (Also a firm Obama supporter from way back.):
"I couldn't say this to your mom, but OH MY GOD. it'll just be
hilarious when millions of people start dying of starvation, or are
flooded out of their homes.
if you read the comments to this video, it's not a tongue in cheek
thing. these people actually think global warming is a hoax."
Do you notice the automatic assumption that I would be "upset" that she disagrees with me? Or the classic lib tactic of trying to make the globaloney skeptics seem heartless about the suffering of others? Or that to question globaloney is just plain ignorant?
Note: I still love her. Bless her heart. :)

If we had some global
February 12, 2008 - 14:42 ET by amberIf we had some global warming here in beautiful Minnesota, I would not have to plug in heat lamps for my brand new baby lambies and I would not have to stand out in the barn wilst my eyeballs freeze waiting for the ewe to lamb and I would not have to run out to the quonset so often to get corn for my stove and I would not have to run the furnace at all and burn all of that fuel oil because the corn stove would sweat us out and.... (if the kids were gone) hubby and I would not have to wear clothes in the house...yeee-haw! (13 below Sunday mornin' but she's warming up!) Oh, but then we might get killer bees in Minnesota, bummer.
Well doncha know amber,
February 12, 2008 - 15:09 ET by QueenMumWell doncha know amber, that the farm animals aren't nearly as important to us human beings as polar bears are. Hey, here's a thought. If we could domesticate polar bears, we could save them from certain extinction by raising them on farms in Minnesota. You wouldn't have to worry about keeping the babies warm in the winter and a polar bear could certainly provide a good deal of meat. Problem solved. (sarcasm off)

I want me a pet guard bear,
February 12, 2008 - 15:46 ET by Dan The Man 2I want me a pet guard bear, yep all teh rage here in Texas with the temps saturday close to 80 degrees. Right now ist a really cold 40 or so. Can you imagine the deterrent of a 1 ton Polar Bear when they force the door open or climb over my fence? But, thats more poop to clean when they do.
