As many liberals subscribe to the "Do As I Say, Not As I Do" philosophy, it certainly shouldn't come as any great surprise that so-called eco-warriors that extol the virtues of a green lifestyle are actually the worst polluters.
At least, that is the conclusion of a survey of 25,000 people by the British research organization Target Group Index.
As reported in Sunday's Telegraph (emphasis added, h/t NB reader Wilbur747):
A survey of travel habits has revealed that the most environmentally conscious people are also the biggest polluters.
"Green" consumers have some of the biggest carbon footprints because they are still hooked on flying abroad or driving their cars while their adherence to the green cause is mostly limited to small gestures.
Identified as "eco-adopters", they are most likely to be members of an environmental organisation, buy green products such as detergents, recycle and have a keen interest in green issues.
But the survey of 25,000 people, by the market research company Target Group Index, found that eco-adopters are seven per cent more likely than the general population to take flights, and four per cent more likely to own a car. The survey found similar trends in France and the United States.
It so easy to point an arrogant, pompous, accusatory finger of blame at others when you completely eschew the lifestyle you are demanding they lead, isn't it?
Just ask Nobel Laureate Al Gore.

He went into a very good discussion on the left using "morality" to change laws and steer the sheeple into their beliefs. This facist movement was a progressive movement in the early 20th century and obviously appears to be showing its ugly head again, such as is displayed in this poll. Their M.O.---Shame the sheeple based on "morality" and control them so that only the elite (leftists) can live and 'pillage' as they see fit.

I worked with a guy who thought that Republicans weren't doing enough for the envirnment, yet he throws trash out of the train window while were tooling along at 70 mph.
When I pointed out the error of his ways, he told me to shut up...just like these libs and enviro-whackos. When I told him that he votes for the 'champions of the environment' and they would not like what he does, he told me to get "F*7&*(".

The master clock on all UNIX machines counts seconds since Jan 1, 1970, the dawn of the UNIX era. Early UNIX systems were most all 32 bit machines. The clock was a single word on these machines, meaning the machine would "run out of time" on January 19, 2038. These clocks were widened to 64 bit in parallel with the Y2K fixes.
