You'd better strap yourself in tightly before proceeding, for the following story and video will likely shock you more than anything you've seen in quite some time.
On Thursday, in the middle of NBC's "Green is Universal" campaign, an ABC affiliate in Tyler, Texas, broadcast a segment during one of its news programs focusing exclusively on positions skeptical of man's role in climate change.
In fact, one of the meteorologists involved actually referred to this whole issue as "the manmade global warming myth."
During the piece, not only did the two anchors express a viewpoint contrary to the current media meme, but also the reporter, Molly Reuter, and the station's three meteorologists, unanimously spoke against the view held by Nobel Laureate Al Gore and his sycophant devotees (video available here):
KLTV 7 METEOROLOGIST MORGAN PALMER: Any idea can become mainstream if you just hear one side of the argument...Because of the money involved, because that folks who are writing these papers at a lot of institutions are going after grant moneys and the grant moneys in many cases are funded by folks who might have a very good intention, environmentalists, but unfortunately the papers that are being written are heavily weighed toward the manmade global warming myth.
Shocking, yes? But there's much more:
KLTV 7 METEOROLOGIST GRANT DADE: Is the Earth warming? Yes, I think it is. But is man causing that? No. It's just a simple climate cycle that the earth goes through over periods of thousands of years.
KLTV 7 METEOROLOGIST MARK SCIRTO: The late 1800's, early 1900's, we were so cold that parts of Galveston Bay froze over. In part of the first decade, in part of the 20th century it was one of the warmest ever, then we cooled off again, and then in the '50s it was the big drought.
[...]
DADE: Did you hear about the Arctic ice melting? But you don't hear that in Antarctica last winter was the most ice ever recorded on the Antarctic ice sheet. You don't hear that.
SCIRTO: Eventually, what's going to happen is ten or 20 or 30 years from now, this is all going to be gone because we will not be warming anymore.
Be sure to watch this entire video, for the quotes above really don't do it justice. The introduction by the anchors, as well as the reporting by Reuter, represent a shocking honesty about this issue that the major television networks won't dare display.
Bravo, KLTV. Bravo!

November 10, 2007 - 19:33 ET by JayTeeI've been to San Fran, and nutin comin out of that thar City has impressed me such that I would move out of Tyler or Trade my Home value in Tyler fer one in San Fransicko.
I used to cover a 5 state3 area, with San Fran as my Regional HQ.......Great food there.....but I was amazed that no one acknowledged they live in a Desert.....With really BAD Traffic. Scenery is great, but what can one do with a Great view in the final analysis ? Charge people more to see it ?
I made calls down the road in San Jose, Santa Clara, and the other Silicone valley cities, NONE of which is as good a place to raise Kids as Tyler, and the surrounding area.
Now all those Silicone valley Guys have moved to Austin Tx., and you'll find better living in Texas than anywhere on the Left Coast.
No State Taxes in Texas, limits on Medical law suits, right to carry a gun laws......etc.....Ya'll come on down now, ya hear...just send me a note when you're in Town....
I live in a gated community, brick house, corner lot...that in SF would sell for about 6 times what I paid for it in Tyler......some day, someone's gonna discover Tyler, as we continue to see California being evacuated to Arizona, Texas, or anyplace else to escape to good Schools, nicer people, great places to live and raise Kids......and SF ain't it.
Tyler isn't Metro, but thar gitin that way

November 10, 2007 - 20:58 ET by danboRemember I have a second place there. I felt the pulse of the pan handle during the Gore/Bush recounts. To me there are too many libs POing old florida boys and girls. Though Florida has it's share of home grown libs. A lot came down the interstate.
A lot of the yanks and left coasters aren't bad. We get our share. But not as many as there. (My former neighbor came from silicon valley to work for NASA; moved back after Katrina. They even complained about our spring thunder storms.) Lots of them are trying to get away. And like life here. But some...
As far as the left coasters.? For some!!! I'm ready to take down the welcome sign at the state line.
Maybe I have less patience.

Forgive me, but though I haven't been to Tyler, I've been to Dallas and Houston, and must say that neither area holds a candle to SF.
I'm sorry, but the SF Bay Area is by far one of the most beautiful urban areas in the nation, and I've been to a lot of them. The only one I think possibly nicer is Seattle, but who wants to live in rain 300 days out of the year?
Of course, I am very biased because I live in the Bay Area. But, I have to tell you that I'm constantly floored by its beauty, even after 28 years. ns
Noel, that's Actually good news....you haven't discovered it yet
November 10, 2007 - 22:10 ET by JayTeeNoel,
I moved to Seattle from Houston, was actually living in Redmond Wa, when Mt. St Helens went hot and bothered.
Bought a book when I arrived, 101 hikes in the North Cascades, and did my best to live it.
Back to Tyler, 100 miles east of Dallas, at about 60 miles east the Topography suddenly gets hilly and Green, sorta like Norther Atlanta.......can't think of the city..starts with a G, but it's a photo copy of Tyler....lots of lakes/Trees and you can find an occaisional Shuttle part laying on the Ground. Best Schools in the State surround the city in it's Suburbs. BUT, it's a dry County so to speak for Liquor.
Back to San Fran, you are correct about it's Beauty, but sometimes the Top Model on the Front page of Victoria's Secret is a high Maintenance lady with a cocaine habit.
San Fran would be even more beautiful, if they didn't charge you for the Weather and the priviledge to enjoy it's views.///or maybe it's the Capitalists Supply and Demand at work ?
But to me, it comes down to the people......and what happens when you break down on the Fwy, or country road, or waiting in line at the Grocery Store, or you're "a fixin to" tee off at the Golf Course, it's the people......not the Scenery......sometimes.

November 10, 2007 - 18:04 ET by alamojbI have been wondering where Mark Scirto stood on this. I do not see their broadcast everyday, but I have often watched it. Back in June I sent Scirto a couple of links to your stories, Noel, about the conditions at some of the Weather Stations. I think I will drop the Station a compliment via email, because I am sure they will be hearing from the AGW nuts over this.

I believe I may have cracked the Global Warming nut.
November 11, 2007 - 16:34 ET by HotlikecoldI believe I may have cracked the nut, so to speak, on Global Warming and identified it's root cause, Orbital Forces. Please read on to evaluate my theory and it's strategy. I believe without direct intervention in the solar causes of Global Warming we don't stand a fighting chance of ever overcoming this thing in anyway remotely similar to what life we have become accustomed to here on earth. Please read forward...
First of all Global Warming is caused or not caused or is a science of the effect of certain gas in our atmosphere. And, second of all it is happening on every planet in our solar system. So what we need is a solution that counters the effects of a slowly expanding sun.
That noted, what I offer is climate control from a totally new and unique perspective, Orbital Forcing.
Orbital forces are the voluntary movements of the planets around us and the relevant effect that has on the climate of the earth. At present we are under the direct influence of the planets Jupiter and Saturn. Each of which take their turns altering our orbital degree in relation to the sun.
But, this is the first time in human history that we can have a direct influence over another orbiting body in our solar system, the moon. So, it stands to reason, all things related, that if we alter the shape of the moons lunar orbit we can alter to a certain degree our planets relative position to the sun. Thus, with careful consideration we can either push or pull the moon away from us and thereby alter our own planetary orbit and change the relative degrees necessary to induce either a global warming period or global cooling period. And, thus we achieve the panacea of modern science - Climate Control!
The non - nuclear explosive the Russians have invented is chosen over the other more powerful nuclear arsenal at our disposal for very obvious safety reasons. As to whether they could plan an operation to detonate such an explosion in space nearby the trajectory of the moon, or possible on the moon, in order to force it to change our celestial path or orbit around the sun has yet to be determined. But, they could try and so could NASA.
Orbital forces is a field of study under earth sciences and much can be explained with a practical application of their findings. Orbital forces are the evident cause of all previous ice ages, global warming periods and changes in both co2 and methane levels.
There is much to be learned here including the manipulation of the worlds magnetosphere and ionosphere.
I could go on for days. But, I won't.
Point your browser to "Orbital Forcing" and follow all the links to see the simple everyday science I used to piece it all together.
Enjoy your Jurney!
