Those that have wondered how someone like Rosie O'Donnell can be so disturbingly wrong about virtually every important issue of the day got an answer Thursday afternoon: she gets her news from Keith Olbermann.
In fact, not only does Rosie think "Countdown" is actually a news program, she believes it's "the best news show on TV."
Explains a lot, doesn't it?
After all, it's one thing to watch this show for the entertainment value, but quite another to be so intellectually challenged as to be incapable of divining the difference between news and opinion.
Yet, if you fast-forward to minute 2:00 of the following video, you will actually see and hear Rosie make possibly her most addle-minded statement to date:
And hey, Keith Olbermann - the best news show on TV. If you're only going to watch one, watch that guy. Important stuff he's saying every night. Bravo, Keith Olbermann.Story Continues Below Ad ↓
Amazing admission, wouldn't you agree? In the end, she's just one of the 800,000 some odd Americans that watches "Countdown," and part of likely a much smaller group that doesn't realize it's an opinion program rather than a news show.
I guess we shouldn't be that surprised, should we?
Finally, for those that just can't get enough of Rosie, on Friday, she posted a video wherein she spoke about the failed deal with MSNBC, and indicated that she wants to do a show on the Internet (fast-forward to minute 4:54):
So, I'm going to figure out a way to do a show here, in my blogville, because I really think it's the next way anyway. Who the hell wants to work for a company with three letters that's just going to get mad when you tell people what you're doing?...Listen, I'm too old! When you're young, you'll do those things. 'Yes, I won't tell anyone! Lock me in the NBC vault!'"
Hmmm. Great idea, Ro. You finally said something I agree with.
It's about time.

I don't know about that, Noel

I'd like to see a poll of some kind, because I'd put my money on the majority of Olbermann viewers believing it's a news program. For example, just look at how many leftist posters here have indicated they think BOR is a "news" program.
Also, the kind of people that are attracted to Olbermann are likely to be the kind of rabid moonbats who have difficulty determining the difference....
That explains it RJ
November 10, 2007 - 13:12 ET by exLibThis clearly shows why lefties think BOR is a "news" program. Because they can't tell the difference.
At least BOR is a little balanced in his approach. I have NEVER heard Olby 1 say nary a discouraging word about another fellow lefty. Yet he goes on CSPAN and insists he's down the middle and the interviewer doesn't challenge his comments. Yet when BOR goes on any show they attack him for being partisan.

Rosie is such a bridge
November 10, 2007 - 13:09 ET by KevroyRosie is such a bridge burner. She acts like an angry, spoiled five year old kid. She reacted like a child when she was canned from The View, slamming Walters and making sophmoric insults towards Hasslebeck.
Now this deal goes south, so she badmouths the three initial networks. What a big mouthed bore (boar) she is.
She is a miserable
November 11, 2007 - 05:40 ET by Andrew H.She is a miserable person--nothing new here. She's always impressed me as a hateful personality with little clarity, a very screwed up thought process and nothing positive for society. It's mind-boggling to me that she has been able to somehow become entrenched in the spotlight. I mean, damn.
Liberalism is a convenient lie.
actually that is how a lot of liberals feel
November 10, 2007 - 13:21 ET by lunaticcringeradiothey can't distinguish between what is actually news fact and story loosely based on real events that is presented to them in a distorted fashion to stir their emotional feelings ala michael moore. i can't tell you how many liberals i know that actually think john stewart from the daily show on comedy central is a news reporter. so why is it any suprise that they are so factually incorrect but morally certain they are right because they have made their decisions based on knee jerk emotional reaction.
micahel savage and neal boortz are right liberalism is a mental disease, that's the only way that you can explain a group of people that use a dicision making process based on emotion instead of fact.

I spent a maddening weekend a few months back trying to convince a group of lefties that the "news" on Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" is, as he and his writers often admit, not reliable. They often just make it up.
It was like telling a group of 5-years olds that Santa didn't exist. Even when I quoted Santa (Stewart), they wouldn't believe me.
Oy, never again.

We were talking about that
November 10, 2007 - 15:13 ET by motherbeltWe were talking about that very thing in another thread. My take was that Stewart alternates between straight stuff and satire, editorializing and comedy. He does political interviews, and then says it's a fake news show.
He knows darn well that a lot of people think he's a legit news show, and I think he lets that assumption lie out there, unrefuted a lot of the time.

Shes a big mess, something is really wrong with her. Ro and Keith are
cut from the same cloth. Ro will be the down fall of MSNBC. I don't
really care about that. But something needs to be done about
her. Get her away from her kids. Can't Kelly see that she's
disturbed?? We've all had hard times in our lives and loses. Its all
how we handle them. She obviously can't handle reality. If she
fails again she might go postal. Hopefully she won't hurt Kelly or the
kids. WOW, she's really out there..........MOM
Liberal knowledge

You will never see a more blank expression on a human face, They have absolutely no clue.
