When Does the Kathleen Willey Book Tour Media Blitz Begin?

In the past six years, any time someone wrote a tell-all book about George W. Bush or a member of his administration, they were given the royal treatment by the press with lavish interviews offering them the perfect platform to market their work as well as their politically charged opinions.

Consider for example all the attention given to Valerie Plame Wilson just recently when her book "Fair Game" was released, or the focus on George Tenet and his "At the Center of the Storm" exposé back in April.

With this in mind, if a former female White House aide published a new book implicating a former president -- whose wife just so happens to be the frontrunner for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2008 -- in rape and other possible crimes, shouldn't she be welcomed with open arms by evening television magazines like "60 Minutes" and morning shows like "Today?"

After all, given Kathleen Willey's shocking statements about her new book "Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton" to WOR radio's Steve Malzberg Thursday, one would think such programs would be all over this like white on rice, assuming of course their goal was journalism and not political activism (audio in two parts available here and here, highlights of the interview follow):

Story Continues Below Ad ↓
  • Michael Radutzky, who was a producer for [CBS's] Ed Bradley, had come to me with another story about intimidation of a friend of mine by the [Clinton] White House, and once they - and that's the reason, that was the original reason that I did the "60 Minutes" story [in March 1998 about having been sexually assaulted in the Oval Office by former President Clinton]. Once I did that, and told that story, they asked me about the Oval Office incident, they made the entire "60 Minutes" story about that...They told me that a former friend of mine had been intimidated with a supposedly illegal adoption of her child. And this woman had - Julie Steele, I don't know if you remember that name...Well, this woman had just gone out, I mean she, we were friends of 20 years and the day after my name came out on the Drudge Report, she sold me out to the National Enquirer for $15,000 and just started trying to make money off of everything, and saying that I had lied, asked her to lie for me about what happened in the Oval Office. So, when I was told that the reason that this was all happening was because the pressure was being brought to bear on her by the White House supposedly about her quote-unquote illegal adoption of a child from Romania, I thought, well, that explains it all. That's why this friend of 20 years has done this. And, I am outraged because no mother should be threatened with having her child taken away from her. And that's the original reason I went on "60 Minutes."...That's what I was told...[by]...the producers at "60 Minutes" that were doing all the research...They said they had information that she had been intimidated, threatened.
  • [Talking about the break-in at her home on August 31] They took the manuscript [of her book]. They made it look like, a, just a burglary. My purse was missing. They had tampered with my, my computer, my, enter, my satellite, my television satellite. And I didn't realize for a while that my purse was missing. It was just a day that I didn't go out. And, then I realized that the manuscript was gone, and I knew that, that, I knew immediately what had happened...I'm sure the, the Clinton operatives were behind it. I think they were sending me a message that they were watching me, that they, that they wanted to see what's in the, I think one of the things was to try to terrify me. One purpose of the break-in. The other was to see what was in the manuscript so that they could be ready for the release date.
  • I'm afraid if Hillary wins, I mean, that's one of the reasons that I write the book is, that I've written this book is, you know, for one reason to reclaim my life and to reclaim the things that were taken from me back then - my reputation, my character - you know, the attacks were brutal. Yes, am I afraid of Hillary Clinton becoming president? Absolutely.
  • [On Bill and Hillary back in the White House] It would hearken back to the old days of the Clinton White House. Business as usual. He would, he would be in there. It would be just like it was before. I worked there. It was like living in Animal House. No respect for the office, no respect for the White House. It was not a pleasant experience. And I think having, having been subjected to this terror campaign and the Clintons' secret police, I think we could be looking at that all over again. I mean, this is not what our Forefathers had in mind.
  • [Talking about if she thought Juanita Broaddrick was raped by Bill Clinton] 100 percent...Not one single doubt. I know her. I've talked to her. She's a friend of mine. She has told me what happened. A woman understands these things, and I have seen the fear in her eyes, and I have seen the reaction when she talks about it. You don't make these things up.

Pretty powerful stuff, wouldn't you agree? The kind that "60 Minutes," the "Today" show, and "Good Morning America" - to name a few - would normally be all over, right?

Yet, though this book release has been highly anticipated, and came out Tuesday, only Fox News has even mentioned it.

That's right. Not only hasn't Willey been interviewed by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, or MSNBC, not one of these networks has even mentioned her book.

Not one.

By contrast, when Valerie Plame Wilson's "Fair Game" was released last month, CNN did six stories on it, MSNBC did two, NBC also did two, and CBS's "60 Minutes" did an entire segment on it with Katie Couric doing the much-publicized interview.

When George Tenet's "At the Center of the Storm" came out in April, CNN did an astonishing 24 segments about it, CBS did five including a "60 Minutes" piece, NBC also did five, MSNBC did three, and ABC did one.

Liberal media bias? What liberal media bias?

Of course the msm are not

Of course the msm are not going to have her on, they are just boycotting her, just like they have before...barely a word in the msm when her PC was stolen with her transcript of the book before the release.

Nothing new here they will say....

The Clintoon machine at work.

Pathetic.

Btw...I have seen her on Fox twice so far...that is called being fair and balanced and letting people make up their own minds, but this woman is saying a lot to the voters about the woman running for election and some young people voting may not know a thing about any of the history of the Clinton team.

It is disgraceful what the msm intentionally does to people who have books out that they just want to permanently shut-up...and they say there is no bias...no agenda here folks....then they profess to wonder why they are rated below car salesmen and lawyers....

Disgraceful all of them.

Noel, I hate to tell ya,

but if someone were to produce authentic video, shot from twelve different angles (including two close-ups) showing St. Hillary the Hideous setting fire to an occupied orphanage, it wouldn't matter. Not to the liberal MSM. Not to the people who will be voting for her next November.

At this point, I guess we should just be thankful that Kathleen Willey actually lived to tell the tale.

Many others were not so fortunate.

DaveR... Bulls-Eye!

DaveR...

Bulls-Eye!

Here's an Example

Many years ago, in the Usenet days, I asked a Clinton groupie a simple question:

"If you caught Bill Clinton breaking into your home and raping your teenaged sister, what would you do?"

His response: he would wait to see if a jury trial found Bill guilty before he passed judgement.

Del... OMG...that is

Del...

OMG...that is beyond pathetic.

I'm just sitting here shaking my head but unfortunately it must be true by the lemmings that vote for these evil people.

Amen

The Clinton Dept. of Shady killings must be slipping.

It was like living in Animal House. No respect for the office, no respect for the White House. It was not a pleasant experience. And I think having, having been subjected to this terror campaign and the Clintons' secret police, I think we could be looking at that all over again.

Be Afraid.....I am......God help us all if she wins....

Raw Story made Daily KOS

Raw Story made Daily KOS look like amateurs with the rants they posted. Raw
Story even laid blame on FOX News for giving her time.

Censorship by omission

ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC say they abhor censorship because ‘the public has a   right to know’, yet they practice it with great vengeance when it comes to protecting their liberal agendas - especially the Clintons.

They do their dirty deed through the ’censorship by omission’ which is the hallmark of the MSM, and is so chronicled, daily, by NB.

So, the media’s lack of  interest in  Kathleen Willey, or anyone else who comes forward in the future, should be no surprise.

ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC: Media bias? Not us!

There is simply no telling

There is simply no telling just what all the Clintons have gotten away with..  they are vacumns for all that is corrupt and evil.

See the

See the Clinton finger-pointing in the book photo? My theory about the "harshening" of the Clinton hand gestures becomes more plausible day after day.

I wonder if I can get some federal money to research this...

And the MSM say: Kathleen

And the MSM say: Kathleen who??? Wasn't she the woman who made a movie years ago about freeing a whale from captivity?

mb

Heh-Heh-Heh!!!

In this case, the thing that

In this case, the thing that was to be freed is reputed to be a minnow and a small minnow at that.

Several Points and they start with Joseph Farah

Joseph Farah of World Net Daily is behind the Kathleen Willey book so the odds of the MSM covering it are as much as them covering the Bush's anniversary. He deserves full credit on this one along with Ms. Willey in being courageous enough to write it.

On the WND site tonight they said the Willey book is #2 at Amazon non fiction. I hope she makes a bundle as being attacked sexually, your pet murdered and now they think her husband too.......well this book is dealing the hard facts that being around the Clinton's is like having sex with a prostitute as you always gets something bad out of it.

I hope just like the other Clinton books on exposing them this one tops the charts.

Just as the msm is ignoring

Just as the msm is ignoring Ann Coulter's latest best seller, "If Democrats had any brains, they'd be Reublicans." I remember back in 1993 when Rush Limbaugh's book "See I told you so" was on the New York Times best seller list (#1 I think) for weeks and weeks and weeks. But you wouldn't have known that from Good Morning America, Today, Larry King, 60 Minutes, etc.

If the media DID do its journalistic job instead of engaging in liberal Democrat activism, then the Dragon Lady would be doomed. She needs their complicity to successfully pull a fast one on the voters.

But even though the Clinton loving media ignore this book, please let's be sure WE all still buy it AND  buy it for our friends and family for Christmas (for both conservatives and liberals).

The MSM are doing their job.

The MSM are doing their job. Their job is leftist partisan propaganda not journalism or reportage.

Anita Printer

I think some "I Believe Kathleen Willey" signs, t-shirts, and bumper-stickers are in order.

So what’s Oprah waiting

So what’s Oprah waiting for…. time to book Kathleen Willey.

Don't hold your breath

It'll never happen even if Oprah is supporting BHO.

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk

I'm surprised are these comments, as though the Clintons, their admirers and friends, and the MSM are disgraceful, and the nut cakes, and ignorant.  They are like the scorpion.  Stinging is what they do.   Lions rip their prey apart while it's still alive.  One can't be angry at some "thing" for doing what it is born to do.  All you can do is run or kill it before it kills you.  We do neither.  We just sit and wait for "it" or "they" to get us.

1.  It's not ignorance by the public.  It's pure stupidity.

2.  Socialists and communists, friends of Bill and Hillary,  have been doing what ever is necessary to wrest control of the US from the people for years.

3.  And they all know that regardless if - WHEN -  we become a Socialist or Communist country, it matters not because they will still be in control - those in power - but even much more power than that average "stupid" person can imagine.

So as far as the Clintons and their friends, the Democrats, and the MSM, not a single one is ignorant or disgraceful.  They are shrewd, articulate,  manipulate, vicious, and  masters at deception and in control of what the public is told.

So forget the "God help us is she gets in" anymore.  She will.   Our enemy, while much lower in numbers, have the money, the intellect, the passion, the aggressiveness, and is just too strong.  And when considering the incredibly stupid masses, our enemy really deserves to win, because while those comparatively few numbers are working their rear ends off, we're on welfare watching sports programs, Friends, or otherwise acting like life is one big party.  Yep!  And while we're at the party, they're stealing everything from our homes, and our lives.

Sonny you are right on but

Sonny you are right on but you forgot ruthlessness which our side totally lacks. The shameless acquisition of power by any means is the goal of the socialists. We may be right but I am afraid we don't have (at this time if ever) the agressive ruthlessness and energy required to fight these people. I don't even know if our side even recognizes the threat because we are used to the rhetoric, we are slowly boiling lobsters.  Witness the total lack of response from the Republican side of the aisle in both houses on every outrage and attack. Life is good we enjoy the status quo but that can change faster than you think. The "can't happen here or to us" mentality could be our demise as a republic.

You're right,

You're right, anusser.

Being "right" guarantees nothing, unless you are aware of what the hell is happening around you, and have the cahones to do something about it.

The "right" reminds me of while living in Mich., one day an elderly woman got creamed in the highway by a driver who was distracted for just a second or two.  Her neighbors said whenever she walked across the road to check her mailbox (rural house), she said that drivers had to stop for her because she had the "right" of way.  Of course, she was "right" but due to her incredibly stupid mindset, she ended being dead "right", in pieces, on the highway.  We will end up the same way.

Knowing one is right is moot if one is not willing for fight for it, and we're not.  My two 30 something daughters are an example.  Neither could tell you the name of our vice president, but they can tell you the history of everyone on Friends.  I've already told them that either vote for whom I tell them, or stay home.

Sonny Take care and

Sonny

Take care and will hear from you on other blogs. I to have two daughters in their mid 20's neither of which has any sense of history. If you tell them about something in the past they have a momentary interest but that soon turns to a glazed over look. One daughter has the complete DVD set of Friends.
