Imus Returns, Will Avenge Hillary’s ‘Shameless Exploitation’ of Rutgers Controversy

If Matt Drudge is correct, the briefly excommunicated Don Imus will not only be back on the radio in December, but has also been hired by the leading talk radio station in the nation.

Deliciously, Imus is "particularly incensed by Senator Hillary Clinton's ‘shameless exploitation' of the Rutgers situation."

Of course, it is safe to assume Imus is fully aware the group that disseminated transcripts of his broadcast concerning the Rutgers women's basketball team, Media Matters for America, is an organization that Clinton admitted in August she "helped start and support."

The exclusive posted at the Drudge Report early Monday morning explained the details (emphasis added):

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

In a dramatic and dazzling career rebound, controversial radio host Don Imus has secured a deal returning him to the airwaves on December 3 -- this time on the nation's most listened to talk station, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned!

"Imus In The Morning" will make high-impact resurrection on WABC in New York City, top sources reveal.

[...]

Imus is said to be particularly incensed by Senator Hillary Clinton's "shameless exploitation" of the
Rutgers situation.

The senator, who Imus has called "satan" and the "devil", traveled to Rutgers in April to praise the women's basketball team for its response to the controversy. In a campaign email, Hillary called Imus's comments "small-minded bigotry and coarse sexism."

"Hillary, prepare to meet your maker!" a source close to the host joked early Monday.

Right-thinking Americans across the fruited plain should hope that Imus is going to make it a crusade to expose the various entities in this nation such as Media Matters and the Center for American Progress which are indeed nothing more than propaganda arms of the Clintons.

Good luck, Don. Give ‘em hell!

Oooh, payback is gonna be a bi*ch....

I'm not an Imus fan and won't listen in, but this is terrific news, both for it's voice against Hillary and for it's free-speech implications.

so far it's just talk -

Imus isn't O'Reilly

BOR seems to make rash promises a part of his schtick, so you really can't compare the two.

Also, Hillary didn't get BOR fired so he doesn't have the same motivation that Imus will have.

well maybe that's why

well maybe that's why "conservatives don't like him"

I think Sen. Clinton might have made us a powerful ally... If he comes back to knock Hillary around, more power to him.

Imus

I never really listened to Imus, does anybody know if he was more liberal or conservative when it came to political matters (before he was let go)? Hearing that he's going after Hillary makes me think two things

1) Yes!

2) He better have good security and bodyguards...he might be found dead for "unknown" reasons.

Tater

Tater,

I'm not sure really. Imus hates them all, and seems to for the most part be an equal opportunity offender. I've heard him grill Dems and Reps with equal voracity and aplomb.

However, he does INDEED hate Hillary, and that appears to be one of the key reasons Media Matters targeted him regardless of his seemingly neutral political posture.  ns

Tater et al

T,

Let me elaborate if you don't mind. Although Imus might have been neutral before, I imagine he is quite aware of which side of the aisle came down on him during this controversy, and who came to his support. He must realize that part of his ability to make a comeback is indeed a function of the right's efforts in his regard.

With that in mind, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a more conservative Imus upon his return as compared to his previous iteration. At the very least, I envision an Imus much more hostile to the loony left than before.  JMHO. ns

Seems like a correct analysis

as he was a BIG fan of John McLame, as well as Connecticut Joe, but went wishy-washy on the billarey couple. His major problem, all of his friends are libs so he usually ONLY hears their side of the story, and he likes rich of the NYT's.

Noel, Imus has been a

Noel,

Imus has been a registered Republican and prior to MSNBC he and his sidekick Charles McCord (reborn Christian) were fairly conservative. Then it appears came his need to fit into MSNBC/Newsweek and their lineup of liberals.

Prior to MSNBC Imus was not very political on-air until the Clinton event. Clinton was going nowhere in the NewYork primary and was behind until he appeared on the Imus show and showed a more relaxed humorous side of himself and suddenly jumped ahead in the NY polls. The Clintons always credited Imus for turning around his fortunes in the primaries until that infamousWashington Correspondents Dinner when Imus made fun of Clinton and his sexual escapades. He has been a Clinton outcast and enemy since then.

He has learned how to be a kingmaker and I imagine a de-throner.

Imus will be a major factor for Hillary and it will be fun.

It doesn't matter, because the Fourth Rule of Triadic Interaction states that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Imus vs. Hillary

If Imus goes after Hillary with guns blazing during the final stretches in the general election, the Clinton machine will come at him with everything they’ve got. Real and fictitious. Should be fun to hear about what Imus did to get detention in high school.

Leeeeeeeets get ready to ruuuuuuuuuumble!!!

Detention in High School????

Com'on Bo.....

The "Clinton Destruction Machine" would NEVER concern itself with something as trivial as Imus' naughty school-boy days.  He had better be ready rather, to answer why he:

     A.  Has sex with goats,

     B.  Abuses his grandchildren,

     C.  Slit the late Pope's throat in a fit of "right"eous rage,

     D.  Solicited sex in an airport bathroom....(that was ACTUALLY someone else, but Hillary and Slicko will accuse him of it anyway,.....and

     E.  Conspired personally, with Rudy in a SoHo gay bathhouse to detonate bombs, bringing down WTC Tower #7.

It wasn't Imus

It wasn't Imus who led me to this place. I now think NHHs whenever I see Rutgers in the news. Thank you, Rev Al, Hillary, et al. Had they not brought it to the forefront, no one else would, either. The whole thing could have died on the vine had the left just left it alone.

Letting it die on the vine

Letting it die on the vine did not serve the self interests of Rev Al or Hillary. A man’s career be damned.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

    And what about Sen.

And what about Sen. Dodd, It seemed to me he acted like he bearly knew imus  after pretending to be buddy buddy for years

You're Forgetting something guys...can Imus be bought ?

Hillary BUYS what she needs nowadays, and Sandy Burgler is just one example of someone bought and paid for.

I never listened to Imus, probably won't listen in the Future, but there is a dirth of Hillary Bashers on the MSM......and with a 27 million $$ war chest, and twice that probably un-documented, Imus might see some $$$ come his way......Sandy Burgler would be an excelant delivery bag man, as Hsu is in Jail.

What good is a Free Press, if it is a False Press ?   David Foote  GoE

Fair point, but I don’t

Fair point, but I don’t think the Clinton war chest has enough money to silence Imus’ rage on this one. He didn’t like her BEFORE… now? He’d probably do it for free.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

Good, I didn't see anything

Good, I didn't see anything wrong with his remarks. If I want to be offended, I'll read the Kos kids praying for Bush to die or listen Em/Snoop/Dre.

The Rocky Mountain Collegian: Illustrating Idiocy

If the Clingons bought Imus,

If the Clingons bought Imus, Rush, Oreilly, Savage, Hannity and the rest will be on Clintons' and Imus' case. I think Imus will not fall for it, he's got more money now than before and his case with his former employer is not closed yet...

Senior Chief I hope you guys are right...otherwise...

Imus will just be one more Liberal voice on the hillary bandwagon.  But, as we become older, money means less and less, and Imus may want his reputation back, more than the millions to join the Burgler ranks.   Remember, with the Clintons you get Three choices, Millions, Character assasination, or Death.  Pick one.

If Imus becomes a Liberal bashing Hillary, then when she loses, Imus will become a prophet of the "Left overs".

What good is a Free Press, if it is a False Press ?   David Foote  GoE

If Imus becomes a Liberal

If Imus becomes a Liberal bashing Hillary, then when she loses, Imus will become a prophet of the "Left overs".

or...a target for assasins.

Maybe yet, if Imus gets in there on time, Algore will emerge as the democracks bet for their party.

Imus is a Republican and a

Imus is a Republican and a likes McCain and Rudy - both came to his aid when the going got tough.

Imus is a Lib

Used to listen to Imus during morning commutes for a few years leading up to his firing. I'd say he's fairly liberal and I was amazed at how fast the media and usual leftie players lined up to take him down. That situation was a clear indicator of just how long the Clinton reach is/was. I saw Imus as a beneficial part of the left wing as he seemed to appeal to independents by appearing to attack both parties' power structure. His attacks on libs were a veil for his lefty politics though, as he backed Kerry for prez and (I think) Gore before. That said, I would be shocked to see his politics take a right turn. Other than attacking Hillary, most other democrats have nothing to fear from him

The liberals left Imus like

The liberals left Imus like the Jews left Jesus because he was a threat to the only person they think has a shot at the White House… Hillary. It shows how shallow and disloyal liberals can be.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

Hillary's Worse Nightmare Comes Through

Hillary's agitprop goons must be shaking in their boots with the news of Imus's return. This is one dude (like him or not) that will fearlessly take on her childish smoke and mirrors campaign and demolish it. He'll take on other politicians as well, no doubt, but Hillary's campaign is so full of holes, lies, posturing and fake moves, he will have a field day and so will we. He's one guy who knows where all her (and Slick Willy's) carefully placed skeletons are buried, and he's gonna dig them up, one skeleton at a time. This is going to be fun to watch. Hillary brags endlessly that she is "tough"? Yes, she's a political thug, but she doesn't know what tough is yet.

It's the principal of the

It's the principal of the matter, though: Freedom of speech. If jerkoff Editors in Chief can keep their job for writing "F*** BUSH" then Imus should be allowed back on the air for just ruffling some feathers under a misunderstanding, not to mention he was NOT racist!

The Rocky Mountain Collegian: Illustrating Idiocy

Wiwf........will the opposite work ?

As you stated for Colorado... " Editor in Chief can keep their job for writing "F*** BUSH" then Imus should be allowed a F*** Hillary ?

That will probably knock him off the Air Again......or it could a new start of a Clinton love Triangle ?

What good is a Free Press, if it is a False Press ?   David Foote  GoE

That's true. The problem is

That's true. The problem is that Imus doesn't have a large audience. Maybe due to this controversy, it'll grow but he'll have to work hard to maintain any audience jump. It will be interesting to see how many places pick up his show in syndication

Right now, behind closed

Right now, behind closed doors, Hillary is saying… “See! I told you we should have killed him when we had the chance!!”

I’m going to hell… but I couldn’t resist.

Jimbo says - "There is a fine line between freedom of speech and treason"

Imus certainly leans left.

Politically, the Imus in the morning show certainly slanted left. While it is true Sen Lieberman was a friend to his show and a frequent guest, he was as "far right" as the Imus show ever got. Frequent visitors and friends included Tim Russert, Maureen Dowd (NYT), Sen. Dodd, Sen Kerry, Mike Barnacle and other left leaning personalities. I started to listen to Imus during the Clinton administration, because he always put the Clinton's in a negative light. I found his parodies on Clinton during the Monica scandal to be hysterical. However, after Bush came into power he certainly could not be considered a friend of W. He is critical of the President and the Republican party and I admit I stopped listening to the Imus show. His show would stoop to sophomoric style insults when discussing Hillary. Jokes about her weight and her somewhat less than eye catching looks were staples during his show during the Clinton presidencey and after. What will be interesting to see is how the "I" man, as he is refered to by his radio staff will deal with his so called "friends" who abandoned him during his tumultuous time with Sharpton et al after the Rutgers mess. Senators Kerry and Dodd to name just two appeared to have abandoned him altogether. As did many of his other notable VIP guests. If I remember correctly some of his "buds" actually jumped on the "kill Imus bandwagon" in his time of need. I think one of those to do that was the ABC White House correspondent who continually tries to make a name for himself by mixing it up with the President. His name escapes me but you know the guy I mean. Tony Snow had properly put him in his place but then, being the gentleman that Snow is, apologized for his remarks. Regardless, I think this reporter, another frequent friend of the Imus show excoriated Imus during the Rutgers flap.

Although, I don't agree with Imus on most things political I do think he got railroaded with the Rutgers mess. Probably his high ratings and his nearly always negative comments about the Clinton's had more to do with his firing than the Rutgers basketball team. The one other "conservative" stand that Imus did take which I thought was admirable was his pro-life view on abortion. As someone who admittedly had changed his view on the issue of life he did have the courage to speak out. Considering the market he was in and the political slant of the overwhelming majority of his guests, I was impressed by that.

I think Imus sucks up to

I think Imus sucks up to anyone he perceives as powerful who will suck up to him (and woe to those who slight him). I think he leans liberal because he feels that's what the beautiful people are. He did used to have on JD Hayworth (R) from AZ, when he was in office.

In the history of the Imus

In the history of the Imus show going back to the 1970's the ONLY time he leaned left when he was paid to do it when the show was on MSNBC. He is a Republican and McCord his sidekick is a conservative. He is friends with Rudy and McCain and would think he will support one of them - no Democrats anymore.

Imus may be a

Imus may be a republican...a RINO as far as I am concerned, he votes for Nadler in his district every-time, he is one of the biggest, and I mean biggest leftists there are...

That is just one example, Imus is not any republican I would associate with.

Bernie is more of a Libertarian in my opinion.

Yes, they both supported McCain during his run....that right there says a lot for me.

Nevertheless I wish them well that is for sure, stick it right back to her evilness Hillary....Soros...Media Matters and all their cohorts.

Pay backs are hell.

As an aside, they may have been paid to do it as you say....I find that sad if completely true, but I also think his environmentalist nutcase of a wife had a lot to do with his sway, being in the in-crowd seemed mighty important to her, pulling strings for her non-scientific projects and all too...lol.

I had the "unique"

I had the "unique" opportunity of meeting Imus twice - both times before MSNBC. He is a very smart self-educated individual.

I do agree that having these NBC/Newsweek libs and their liberal friends kissing his behind probably got to his head as did his lame wife. If you were his age and had a young good looking wife like that, and the price for that was peddling her nutty products - why not?

What we can count on is that Imus will have payback and Hillary has seen her best days. I would not be surprised if he finds some way of getting even with Al Sharpton as well. Imus came up the very hard way and remembers his who his friends were and who turned their back on him.

It should be fun!

Gat... I wasn't talking

Gat...

I wasn't talking about Imus selling her nutty products I was talking about the sway he has had politically from one to the other...it was rather noticeable.

No man, money or age would be able to change me that much politically...just my thoughts here.

Matters not in the long run of things anyway.

btw...I have been listening to Imus since he was on the desert in Palmdale/Lancaster California....long long ago.

May have been Captain Don back then...lol.

BT - That's when he began.

BT - That's when he began. Must have been completely out of control then. When he came to New York, I had just gotten married and my wife used to be one of those that would call into the station and he would talk to her. We still have tapes. He would get me in trouble by talking about my boss on the air - who was listening. (lol)

His name escapes me

David Gregory is the name you're looking for...now I hope you'll quickly forget it.

Good Orderly Direction

I will not provide a link

I will not provide a link to Hillary Clinton/Media Matters, but there is an April 11, 2007 piece on that site, Will Imus’ Guests Condemn History of Bigotry?, that lists every 2007 Imus guest (along with date of appearance).

Of this group, who will/will not be invited or agree to appear?  Hillary Clinton/Media Matters certainly put all of these previous Imus guests on notice… will they hide or will they agree to appear, thus ensuring they will never have access to candidate Hillary or a Hillary White House?

Well this ought to be very

Well this ought to be very interesting when the words fly....

Why have BaBa WaWa do the interview though....should of gone on Fox IMO...they did the most defending and have a big audience...plus they are fair and balanced.

Part of the reason I started watching him when he first came on and still did on and off until he was excommunicated from NBC/msnbc was because of his outspokenness of the dastardly evil duo...who will destroy our country if we do not keep them as far away as possible from the WH.

If Imus says F*** Hillary

If Imus says F*** Hillary and the like, given the recent issues happening at CSU, Imus would just get a slap on the wrist and keep his job, if this were a perfect world. What I'm saying is that they should be judged on the same level, no biased judgement.

And even if he DOES say it, he has a 40 second time difference so they can censor it, which the Collegian did not. Plus, Imus is known to America as being a shock jock, the Collegian was not. So Imus should be treated more leniently (that's probably not the right word to use here...) than the Editor in Chief.
