Eddie Scarry at the Washington Examiner reports MSNBC weekend host Rev. Al Sharpton made some rude jokes about Fox News at a Kennedy Center “roast” for James Carville.

"It's better than Fox," Sharpton said of his MSNBC gig. "Because over there, they'd make me drink from a separate water fountain."

Obviously, Fox News has featured high-profile black correspondents from Wendell Goler to Kevin Corke and even liberal reporter/analyst Juan Williams. Sharpton used to be a more-than-occasional guest on The O'Reilly Factor. But who's fact-checking?

This is about as funny as a CNN host joking she's glad she's not working at MSNBC host, where they first require a solidarity abortion at Planned Parenthood.

Sharpton had more mud in the bucket:

The longtime activist took another dig at Fox and conservative commentator S.E. Cupp of CNN, who also attended the roast.

"Both of us have appeared on Fox," Sharpton said of Cupp. "But they treat us a little differently. They send a car for her. They ask me to drive it."

He said he referred to those occasions as “Driving Ms. Crazy."

Scarry said the roast was loaded with "raunch and vulgarity," so Sharpton joked, "This is what white folks do? We actually marched to be a part of this?"

Cupp drew soem praise for "conservative self-deprecation" for concluding her part of the roast with, “James, you are an old, bald, angry, white guy from the South. How are you not a Republican?”
