Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson slammed the calls by liberals for more gun control. Appearing on Fox News’s Outnumbered, the reality TV star insisted, “Guns are in hands of mostly good people, just like police officers are mostly good people. Yes, there are bad ones. But you can't make a sweeping take-away-the-whole-Second- Amendment over this.”

Regarding recent shootings, Robertson wondered, “The problem that they [liberals] keep looking at something else to blame, which is the guns.” Highlighting the tragedy of three people being killed in Oklahoma at a homecoming parade, the reality TV star wondered: “God forbid she has mental illness and that’s why she just ran her car through. Are we taking cars away now?"

SANDRA SMITH: But, Willie, I wanted to ask you, this isn't just the president putting proposals out there on further gun control, but Hillary Clinton went as far to call for the gun manufacturers to be held responsible in the midst of gun violence or when a gun is used in a murder. As a gun owner, I assume, you are, positioned on cover of your book, this book out today, with a gun, what do you make of something like that?

WILLIE ROBERTSON: The problem that they keep looking at something else to blame, which is the guns. So, God forbid we find out that that car that just went through that parade, God forbid she has mental illness and that’s why she just ran her car through. Are we taking cars away now? Tons of people injured. There are people killed. So there is a major problem with mental illness. Guns are regulated, if you buy a gun, believe me, you have to go through, it is regulated.

ANDREA TANTAROS:: But Julia, a majority of Americans — I’m sorry, Willie. Go ahead.

ROBERTSON: I mean, guns are in hands of mostly good people just like police officers are mostly good people. Yes, there are bad ones. But you can't make a sweeping take away the whole Second Amendment over this.
