Apparently Telemundo believes it is perfectly alright to stage events and film them as authentic. In fact, as you can see in the video below, the Telemundo cameraman admits to filmmaker Andrew Marcus of Rebel Pundit that he is indeed staging the event. In this case, two young anti-Trump protesters in San Diego yesterday were holding the Mexican flag upside down and the Telemundo cameraman gave them directions on the proper way to hold the flag. This is followed by a really nasty attitude by one of the protesters including spitting in the direction of Marcus. But, hey, that behavior is understandable because according to another protester, the poor lad is a "minor" and therefore not responsible for his actions.
ANDREW MARCUS: Is that the media staging a shot? Is that the media staging a shot? Is Telemundo staging a shot?
CAMERAMAN: Uh, probably.
MARCUS: Yeah but you're staging a shot at a protest. That's not news collection. You're staging news.
CAMERAMAN: What do you want me to do, man?
MARCUS: You're staging the news.
CAMERAMAN: I'm not part of the protest bro'.
MARCUS: Why are you directing them?
CAMERAMAN: F*** you, man! I need to work.
After one of the guys who was holding the Mexican flag hits Marcus' camera and spits in his direction, one of the protesters gives this classic defense:
He's obviously a minor.
Oh, I see. All is forgiven. Uh, but what about the extreme unprofessionalism of the Telemundo cameraman who stages shots?
