Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey took a humorous swipe at CNN’s Piers Morgan on CBS’s Late Show Friday.
While impersonating the late Johnny Carson at the request of host David Letterman, Spacey said of Morgan, “I wouldn't mind him being deported” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
KEVIN SPACEY IMPERSONATING JOHNNY CARSON: This is just kind of an in-house news story, Johnny. No, you'll like this. Interesting story in the news. As you know, there's a big debate about gun control in the United States. You know this is true. And because of Piers Morgan's stance on this on CNN, there is a petition going around trying to deport him from the United States.
Now look, I wouldn't mind him being deported myself but for other reasons. But the executives at CNN aren't too concerned because they say that they can just smuggle him back into the country under Wolf Blitzer's beard.
That’s a pretty darned good impersonation of Carson, don’t you think?
