It seems that even the CBS Late Show audience has a limit to how much Mitt Romney bashing it will take.

On Wednesday night, David Letterman was booed for depicting the presumptive Republican presidential nominee as a male model on The Price Is Right (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Early in his opening monologue, Lettterman asked the audience, “You folks watch the program The Price Is Right? Do you ever see The Price Is Right?”

“It's been on the air for a long time, like, 60, 70 years,” Letterman continued, “and Bob Barker was the host, and they've always had lovely models presenting the fabulous prize wonderlands.”

“And guess what?” he asked. “Now they're going to get a male model as one of the models for the, and I said, ‘Whoa, what? What, all of a sudden did Drew Carey isn't hunky enough? Really?
Are you kidding me?’”

After the laughter and applause died down, Letterman said, “Here's the new male model on The Price Is Right. Take a look."

This was initially met with some laughter and applause, but you can hear many people also booing.

Will wonders never cease?
