On today's Morning Joe, Mika first put her GOP consultant cap on, counseling Republicans to stop supporting Romney, then floated the notion that she might actually vote Republican in the fall. The duo were mulling the latest poll numbers, which showed Mitt Romney having jumped up over the last month.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Conservatives finally -- look at Romney going from 8% to 23% nationally. Those are conservatives desperate to stop a man they don't believe represents their interest -- John McCain.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Well, that's just at this point don't you think a little self-destructive?
And a bit later . . .
BRZEZINSKI: And he is a war hero who has some experience with [foreign policy].
SCARBOROUGH [dubiously]: I guess.
BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.
SCARBOROUGH: Well, he's a war hero; there's no doubt about the fact John McCain's a war hero, but that in and of itself doesn't mean he's ready to be President of the United States. There are a lot of war heroes out there that we wouldn't want to be Commander-in-Chief. Would you agree with that?
BRZEZINSKI: I don't think John McCain's one of them. I think that he has some pretty good experience.
SCARBOROUGH: So you're going to vote for John McCain, then.
BRZEZINSKI: Well, I don't know who I'm going to vote for yet.
SCARBOROUGH: It ain't gonna be a Republican.
Too true. So how about it, Mika? Why not drop the fig leaf and [mixed metaphor alert] let your Dem flag proudly fly?
