During a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Tuesday, a supporter of Hillary Clinton told the Democratic front-runner that he wanted to “strangle” Carly Fiorina after he was laid off from his job at Hewlett-Packard.
Rather than denounce her supporter’s violent statement against Ms. Fiorina, Clinton instead laughed in amusement, as did the entire audience, before she joked that she “wouldn’t mess” with the man.
As journalist Rusty Weiss pointed out, Clinton’s decision to laugh at one of her supporters’ desire to strangle Fiorina was especially hypocritical given how she herself condemned Trump for failing to chastise one of his supporters for his anti-Muslim remarks:
Just a couple of months ago, Clinton admonished Donald Trump for not denouncing hateful rhetoric made by a Democrat plant in a crowd of supporters during a campaign rally. She condemned him for his inaction on Twitter.
Weiss then smartly asked "Will the media hold Clinton accountable the way they did for Trump’s crowd member’s anti-Muslim comments?” Stay tuned to see if the press actually covers Mrs. Clinton refusing to reject one of her supporters’ calls to “strangle” a fellow female politician or if they remain silent like they have with so many of Hillary's questionable actions.
