Video: Hannity, Bozell Review Media's Love of 'Rock Star' Obama

By NB Staff | April 20, 2012 | 11:53

A  A

In the 2008 campaign, "[t]he media were awestruck, embarrassingly so," over Barack Obama and failed to vet him thoroughly, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell noted on last night's edition of Hannity. "In the primaries in 2008, we counted 29 different times when the networks either called him a rising star, an emerging star, a rock star, or a superstar. Twenty-nine different times," but they never, of course, affixed such a label to his GOP opponent John McCain.

Shortly after that, Hannity played a montage of liberal journalists gushing over President Obama -- treating him like awestruck groupies -- since he's taken office. "This is embarrassing, this is journalism today," Bozell, the founder of the Media Research Center observed. [MP3 audio here; watch the full segment below the page break]

Uuugghhh...I need a shower.

I have to confess that sometimes it is difficult to watch this.
Many times I just look at the headline and just shake my head and move on because I just can't take all the shameless dishonesty and slobbering.

I love this site but sometimes it is just so depressing.

Dont you people understand,,,

Obamas so "cool", "hip", and of course, "smart", with an "impressive" jump shot! If this lamestream media ever reported ANYTHING about this inept bozo and his incompetent adminstration, he'd be even MORE unpopular than they tried to make George W!

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. BEN FRANKLIN

Thought he was supposed to be good at it

Submitted by jon_torlin on Fri, 04/20/2012 - 4:24pm.

But I guess ever since he got b!tch-slapped while playing a game thus getting some stitches and an even deeper shade of purple than usual for a while, he's lost his game.

Can

Submitted by grammajane on Fri, 04/20/2012 - 12:54pm.

kind of understand the liberal women calling him a rock-star as that is their uneducated mine-set but, Williams, to me, is and always will be, the most repulsive. Two magazine covers on magazines that are headed for the garbage with few subscribers. What on earth will happen to these child reporters when their rock-star moves back to Chicago to continue his community service work

If these "journalists" were to fluff Obama any more you would only be able to watch these interviews on pay-per-view.

I think a 'normal' person

Submitted by killa37 on Fri, 04/20/2012 - 1:25pm.

I think a 'normal' person would be flat-out embarrassed to be the recipient of such gooey and false-prophet-worshipping praise, and I also think most 'normal' people would be embarrassed to be DOING such giggly-teenage-slobbering................but we ARE talking about the biggest narcississist in the history of this country, as well as the MSM and the StateRun Media - so we have to throw the standard definition of 'normal' under the bus.

This is scary, folks: the sheeple still believe the MSM!

Submitted by Mary Louise Turner on Fri, 04/20/2012 - 1:40pm.

Here's what is really scary about this obnoxious drool-bucket "reporting". According to a Rasmussen Poll released today, Ears' approval rating is at 49%, which means millions of sheeple (especially in the northeast corridor and in California) still watch the MBM and believe it. The earlier blog that millions of Americans believe that tax rules benefit the wealthy is equally frightening. We've got a sea of ignoramuses out there easily manipulated by the MBM crowd...Folks, we are in BIG trouble!

Obama questions from MSM

Submitted by CJohnson on Fri, 04/20/2012 - 1:45pm.

FOX ought to do a 'what would Romney say' segment every week, answering every lame media question asked of Obama. That would make a great 'not an ad', just an interview.
