MSNBC's Legacy of Hate: Ed Schultz Frothing Over 'Bastard,' 'Slut,' 'Dirthole' Conservatives
MRC President Brent Bozell appeared on the Mark Levin radio show, Thursday, to premiere a new montage of Ed Schultz's most hateful comments and attack MSNBC's double standard. Pointing out liberal journalists who have called for Rush Limbaugh's firing, but are silent on Shultz, Bozell declared, "I’ve had it with the dishonesty. I’ve had it with the shameless posturing. I’ve had it with the hypocrisy. And it’s time to call them out on it."
Video of Schultz's foaming, unhinged rants over "bastard," "slut" conservatives can be found below. [MP3 audio here.] After Levin played the montage, which included Shultz suggesting some conservatives want to murder Barack Obama, Bozell wondered, "Have you ever heard any one of those reporters who were upset with Rush Limbaugh ever express any outrage at anything that Ed Schultz has said along the lines we just played you?"
Bozell added:
With all the outrage against Rush Limbaugh for using the word slut. And you've heard so many people at MSNBC, one after another after another trying to keep that story alive day after day after day after day. Everybody, Al Sharpton, Chris Matthews. They're all with the drumbeat trying to keep it alive. Can you recall and if your audience can put their thinking caps on this, can you recall anybody at MSNBC, anybody at The New York Times, anybody at CNN, at ABC, at CBS, at Headline News, at The Washington Post. Anyone who has gone after Rush Limbaugh, can you name me a person who went after Ed Schultz for calling Laura Ingraham a slut?
MP3 audio of Bozell's appearance on Levin can be found here.

Here are but a few examples of Ed Schultz's unhinged, left-wing hate:
MSNBC (September 23, 2009): The Republicans lie! They want to see you dead
MSNBC (April 26, 2011): This is what the Republican Party stands for, though: racism.
RADIO (August 11, 2009): Sometimes I think they want Obama to get shot. I do. I really think that there are conservative broadcasters in this country who would love to see Obama taken out.
MSNBC (August 25, 2010): We are going down a very dangerous road right now when a political organization like the Tea Party has members trying to intimidate elected public officials....Folks, this is what the Brown Shirts did in the 1930s in Germany.RADIO (October 28, 2009, talking about Hadassah Lieberman): Does the word 'whore' apply?
RADIO (July 14, 2010): Shove those bastards right into the dirthole! This is about power! It's about winning!
RADIO (February 24, 2010): You're damn right, Dick Cheney's heart's a political football. We ought to rip it out and kick it around and stuff it back in him.
RADIO (May 24, 2011): Like this right-wing slut, what’s her name, Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut.

...just a hint of projection there? Tone it down or people might catch on that you're really unhinged.

If Schultz has had it with all this stuff, why doesn't he just stop doing it?
I've also had enough.

and I thank you Mr. Bozell for the action you have taken. It truly frightens me that so many people have no idea what is going on and how deliberately misleading the MSM is. You have my support if its ever needed and I think probably most of the posters here on NB feel the same.
Use that trojan horse.. errrrrrrrr taxpayer free of course

at least using this approach.
It boils down to one fundamental condition: It's easier to be liberal than conservative. It takes more integrity and honesty to be conservative. That's why liberal positions prove more populist, and the quicker progressives can desecrate civil society, the more populist their positions become. Calling them out as hypocritical doesn't effectively alter their populist stature.
I think it better to just let them speak for themselves. I know that is what the video does, but the "let me put this in perspective" approach by conservative pundits doesn't seem to have the desired effect. In fact, my guess is if Brent Bozell were to go on CNN and preface this very clip with two paragraphs of "they're hypocrits" talk, he'd lose the audience before they ever hear the clip. I think it better to simply say, "This is Ed Shultz of MSNBC" and play the tape. No commentary. I realize this was on Levin's show and commentary is fine there, but overall, I think the approach to calling out dems on this behavior with anything more than their actual words hurts the effort and won't change liberals' minds.
Also, leave out the racist stuff. It's time we ignore completely the racist taunts- leave it to them to prove it. Don't keep this ridiculous assertion in the forefront by acknowledging it.

is part of the liberal religion. It is inherent in them, it is a badge of honor for them.
MSNBC and these other libs

MSNBC and these other libs better be careful what they wish for. It's easy to be hypocritical of Rush vs. Shultz and Mahar etc, because Rush is still there. If (and it's doubtful this would happen) Rush were actually forced off the air, it would produce such a "freedom of speech" controversy, especially if these other guys are left unscathed, it might prove more than even they could handle.
Rush will never be "forced" off the air. He was made...

for talk radio and talk radio was made for him.
What Rush said was nothing compared to what the Liberals like Maher, Schultz and their ilk say everyday.
Rush has apologized for sinking to their level and he was right to do so.
Instead of calling the woman a slut and prostitute for wanting other people to pay for her birth control, he should have used a classier word like trollop, or strumpet, or harlot.
Those words would have been just as accurate, but probably less offensive to some people's tender sensibilities.

it up Mr. Bozell, you are doing a great job of getting this hate off TV/radio. BOR doesn't seem to realize the difference between truth and hate. He must be a secret obama voter and doesn't want to admit, he made a huge mistake. He, at times, redicules Barry and then in the next sentence, supports him which to me, is nothing but spinning. People need to continue to complain to Comcast/msdnc to get these radical, repulsive, pathetic jerks off the air

Left out is the worse thing Schultz did -- falsely editing a video to try and make Rick Perry appear racist.
That's worse than any of these examples, by a long shot.

The REAL Take-Away here...

Cut through all the bluster and you arrive at the crux of the issue: Leftists are in a rabid, apoplectic state at a time that they absolutely should not be. 'Their Boy' is in the White House; 'Their Side' has controlled Congress; 'Their Fossils' rule the Courts. So, it is quite pleasing to see that instead of gorging their Leftist bodies with caviar & champagne, these people are near self-immolation.
That's what puts a smile on my face.
