Bozell, Hannity Discuss Media's Snowe Job, 'Christian Version of Sharia Law'
"The American Conservative Union just came out" with their latest congressional scorecard and what do you know, retiring Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) has "the lowest lifetime conservative record [48.59, just left of center] of any Republican. In Diane Sawyer's book, that makes her the principled voice of reason," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Sean Hannity on last night's "Media Mash" segment on Hannity.
The liberal media, of course, have been using the left-leaning senator's departure from the Senate as a club to rebuke the Republican Party as in danger of losing its appeal to moderates and becoming a far-right political party with limited appeal. Also discussed on the popular media bias segment was how the media are skewing their coverage of Rick Santorum to present him as obsessed with social issues and bordering on foisting a "Christian" brand of "Sharia law." The AP describes Snow e as retiring "in the prime of her career."
The woman was first elected to Congress in 1978! She is 64 freakin' years old!!
Enough already!
The founders never intended for anyone to be a legislator for 50 years, for crying out loud!!
I wish, if we can't get term limits, we could at least have compulsory retirement for legislators at 65!
Enough is enough!
Oh, and how did the media react to the announced retirement of a "moderate" Democrat who had a reputation for reaching across the aisle?
Here's a sample.

...they wouldn't collectively embarrass themselves by inventing the fantasy that people like Mr. Santorum want a "Christian version" of Sharia law.
Sharia and Christianity are mutually exclusive.

I don't ever remember Christianity preaching to kill someone for not being a Christian, or reducing women to second class citizens or worse and more than that.

Why didn't you leave 20 years ago, you phony? The only thing about you that's "conservative" are your hideous pantsuits.
Question: How much did Barry Obysmal pay you to exit with your phony "frustration" over "partisan bickering"?
Will you get an Ambassadorship to the Sudan? Maybe Iran?
I am calling you out today, liar. I predict you will surface if Obysmal gets a second term with a cushy job.

So she "resigns" while the Dems are in control, so they can name a replacement for her!
Snowe was satisfied with Senate job when things slid her way

Now that Americans have awakened and backed away from the Leftists' abyss, life would be more difficult for her. She'd have to defend her outdated positions.

Obviously, the main stream media is very concerned that the RINOs could possibly become extinct.Their only habitat seems to be in the Republican party. The Republican RINOs are the players in the minor leagues of the Democrats.

It's not just liberals in the media

So called conservatives like George Will and Charles Krauthammer are often just as bad. Below are 2 recent op-eds authored by them in The Post:
Stopping Obama, one way or another
By George Will,
and
Romney’s luck
By Charles Krauthammer,
Will's and Krauthammer's op-eds don't represent the profound wisdom and intellect of Bill Buckley which is the pretentious image they portrait so well. They're probably are ready to throw President Obama another victory party as they did in 2008:
People like Weekly Standard's Bill Kristol, David Brooks of the New York Times and Charles Krauthammer of The Washington Post broke bread with President-elect Obama at George Will's $1.9 million home. This confused the media and the left at that time (see articles below):
Obama breaks bread with conservatives
Conservatives don't need to go backwards in time when Republicans were often liberal on domestic programs and hawks on foreign policy.
