Open Thread: 'We Don't Look to the Constitution'
While it is unfortunate to have large numbers of people in positions of political power have no regard for the Constitution in their policymaking duties, it is at least refreshing to see one of them, in this case, Rep. Kathy Hochul (D-NY), admit that she and other Obamacare supporters are "not looking at the Constitution" when it comes to the law's individual mandate for healthcare.

A Congresswoman admitting that the Constitution plays no role in their creation and implementation of Obamcare. It's no wonder that they proclaimed some "right to health care;" they must believe that it is the Congress that bestows rights on the citizens.

Fairey saw the beef: “Violating the court’s trust was the worst tthing I have ever done in my life,” Fairey said during his plea on Friday. “I was and am ashamed of all of these things.”
Fairey pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of criminal contempt and faces as much as six months in jail on the charge. Sentencing is set for July 16.
Since Fairey helped get Obama elected, maybe he should be prosecuted under some sort of financial crime, seeing that Obama has run the deficit up trillions and trillions with no end in sight with his Chicago style slush funds.

First rule is to never assume that the opposition is stupid. They are not. If they look like they are doing something stupid, look again. There is a reason and a method to their actions. It might not be readily understandable, but it is there.

Destroying the all volunteer force and getting back the draft is a surefire way of turning the military into a tool of the administration.
Just as they've dumbed down the civilians in the country to the point that over 50% (and growing) of them are totally dependent and subservient to the government, by drafting the totally stupid bastards into the military and having a cadre of their chosen loyal liberal officer "corpse" they will have the equivalent of the SS.
You can bet your sweet ass when that happens, the benefits will soar to make them more loyal. Civilians will then be at their mercy.

should have the component of the Constitution that allows the legislation, not secondary legislation and especially not court precedent. This has two purposes, that this will be the argument put forth to attempt to defend it in any court case. Also, it makes the legislature follow the Constitution or at least create the illusion that they are attempting to follow it. Now, if they create a fake reasoning, everyone will be able to see through it. The Constitution is not that difficult to understand. It only becomes difficult when leftists attempt to skew the meaning of words and when they outright lie. Just like the use of the General Welfare component of the beginning of the Constitution attempting to state that any perceived welfare is therefore allowable. If murdering millions in some insane way increases the benefit to those left alive, does that make it Constitutional? Of course not, because it is supposed to be an inclusive document of contract, not exclusive where one component can be manipulated to defend some argument, other components argue against it.
Only in the leftist and statist mind can you cherry pick certain components while forgetting the others.
