One wonders why any candidate would waste time on a totally lib network in the first place but, on football night??? Then they turn around and go again Sun.on another one with MTP and Gregory.

I was born in 1945.

Submitted by BBallleaper on Sat, 01/07/2012 - 9:35pm.

In elementary school in Chicago we said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning and studied American history. I took great pride in my country, in its founding, its principles. As a young boy I wasn't aware of politics. I assumed that good people ran the government and that they too loved their country. It never occurred to me that communists would someday take over my country. And that 50% of 'my fellow Americans' would hate their country and attempt to destroy it.

I grew up very poor. My mother and father and three brothers lived for ten years in one-half of an attic on the South side of Chicago. Yet I never blamed America. I felt responsible for myself. My goal was to be a success. I took no handouts from the government. I found my own way. Now my life is almost over. But I see what liberalism has done to the future for my family. It makes me very sad. I wish I could somehow stop the desecration and destruction of my country, but I feel helpless. And to insult to injury there is no candidate who reflects my Conservative principles. Even if one of them were to win I know in my heart they will not do the right thing to save this nation. They have all been corrupted in one manner or other, unable to do what is necessary and right. When a fire-breathing dragon is at the door it seems silly for a bunch of pseudo-knights to parry back and forth about their own shortcomings. Unfortunately, there is no knight in shining armor to pick up his sword and slay the evil beast. What a sad state we have come to as a people.

Sadly true.

We now live in a country where you are liable to be called out by your own side for daring to tell it like it is.

Don't want to be perceived as either racist, uncaring. or unsentimental, dontcha know.

While in no way perfect, by any means, as a society;  political correctness has been allowed to kill off what was once at least an attempt at being  independent minded individuals.

it won't really effect me, if the purple lipped commie wins another term, I'll more than likely not survive it anyway, age and all.

I do feel sorry for my sons, their wives and my grand daughters, because the America they'll get won't be recognizable.  They'll be working for those who don't want to work, and giving up what they earn to those who will never earn anything.

Agreed, UpNorth, as---

Submitted by matthewdean on Sun, 01/08/2012 - 2:12am.

Obama's moves, whether missteps or purposeful strides, even if he goes completely all out progressive if gaining a second term, won't affect me at my level in society.   I don't hang out with Obama ass kissing liberals, MSM believers, or any Democrat  jackasses; and I will be long gone before the hideous ObamaCare takes effect if - it isn't struck down by SCOTUS .

Though I now wish I had been more politically active, so as to be able to say I fought against the insanity of  the Lib-Dims every step of the way, like most people busily getting on with their lives, I made the mistake of thinking that most politicians would try to do the right thing for the country and for their constituents, at least most of the time, and I was, in retrospect, severely misguided in my thinking.

The reason I don't tend to beat myself up too much these days is because I realized that when I voted against the Gay marriage amendment and saw it defeated, and then had to vote on the same issue once again, and saw it defeated once more, and an unelected federal judge, who is Gay, basically says my vote doesn't count and negates the whole process ---  then it is quite obvious that the "process" has been bastardized at a level I have absolutely no control over.

That truly sucks.

I watched the football game until it was pretty much decided. I turned over at 10:30 and what do I get? I bunch of leftist loons who are analysising what was said. I flipped to the DVR and watched an episode of Laredo I had DVRed just for times like that. I've got a bunch of episodes of Laredo, Rawhide and Wagon Train so I don't have to watch that crap on the networks. Also have some made for TV Perry Mason movies. I guess growing old does have its benefits. I watched all these shows are a kid or several years ago and I don't remember them.

The liberal media deserve their title of "biased" media.  Every debate hosted by the alphabet networks all seem to follow the same script.  Stupid questions, gotcha questions, incite a brawl, and avoid at all costs, any comparisons to Obama's policies, actions, and failures.

Huckabee's  debate forum was the best so far and gave a better view of each candidate.

Paul is still crazy.

Romney is still a RINO.

Santorum is trying to fight the "extremist" stereotype of conservatives

Newt is reaching for the "moderates" vote

Huntsman still causes major z.. z. z. z. z. z. z. z

Perry was ignored but he needs to take that Texas drawl and talk faster but still did ok when given the chance.

Perry only messed up in the first two debates, as I recall, and he did really well in the last 4 although he wasn't called on much last night. Reagan was a slower talker and John Wayne had that slow Texas drawl.

Too bad the debates put more emphasis on words when their actual 'actions' mattered much more!

Diane seems an odd duck

Submitted by stratman on Sun, 01/08/2012 - 6:15pm.

Diane seems an odd duck nowadays. Her syrupy, sugary, pained look style must be the model Ann Curry adopted. Obnoxious.

She worked in the Nixon administrations and then followed Nixon after he left the Presidency. She's been a part of the Media for decades, which undoubtably resulted in some brainwashing. The rest is probably her nature - a 'go along to get along' kind of girl - combined with an intoxicant. Then again, maybe all she needs is more rest and a diction coach.

Submitted by Scuba Dude on Sun, 01/08/2012 - 2:47am.

I think she was Blonde.

I would also like to check out the transcript because at one point it sounded like she asked Santorum (I think) if there was someone on the stage he wanted to respond to (?).  Almost like she was goading him to attack someone.

These libturds in the LSM do not care about the candidates positions. They just want soundbites, gotcha questions and the candidates attacking each other.  This way they figure they will be softened up when whoever wins goes against Obama and them.

I truly wish the candidates would have run their campaigns by:

1) Attacking Obama's failed policy's at every turn

2) Attacked the bias in the questions they are asked by the LSM.

3) DISCUSSED and not debate the issues with the other candidates. The Huckabee Format is the best platform for this.

4) Not attacking each other and resist any and all attempts of the media to instigate the attacks. In essence, present a united front against anything liberal or Obama.

Imagine what it would have been like if they supported each other in the campaign against what the LSM was doing.  Take the LSM to task for their lynching of Herman Cain and a myriad of other things.

Well it is late and I am very tired.  Maybe I will take this up again tomorrow.

Edit:  Also, someone in the chat mentioned how they would have loved to have seen "moderators" faces whenever a candidate slammed either Odumbo or the media.  It would have been priceless.

Sorry about missing the debate (Not!).

Submitted by Newsbubba on Sun, 01/08/2012 - 11:46am.

I was actually having one hell of a great time at  a party.

I met a guy who is a retired Green Beret, and we almost got into a slugging match about which one of us hated the RBFSOB POS CinC currently in the White House the most!!!  We decided that we were both sexists, racists, homophobes, and generally all around hateful SOB's, just like the liberals tell us everyday, and spent the rest of the time drinking to that, and to better days.

I don't know how this election is going to turn out, and I'm beginning to think that it doesn't really matter anymore.  Half the people in the country are going to be pissed at the other half, no matter what.

The next year, and the next couple after that are going to be very interesting, to say the least.  Personally, I'm glad I'm on the side I am. I like my teammates.

A squad of Marines drove up the highway between Basra and Baghdad. They
came upon an Iraqi soldier badly injured and unconscious. Nearby, on
the opposite side of the road, was an American Marine in a similar
state, but he was alert.

As first aid was given to both men, they asked the injured Marine what
happened. The Marine responded, "I was heavily armed and moving north
along the highway. Coming south was a heavily armed Iraqi soldier."

What happened then?" the corpsman asked.

I told him Saddam Hussein was a miserable piece of crap and then the
Iraqi told me that Tom Daschle, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Bill Clinton
were miserable pieces of crap!"

What happened then?" the corpsman asked.

"We were shaking hands when a truck hit us".

Hmmmmm. Is that you retread troll?

Funny. Independents are not a political party and therefore should not be capitalized like Democrat and Republican. Hmmmmmm. Yet you both insist on capitalizing that word. Hmmmmm.

Oh and as I told you before, Democrats and independents cannot vote in closed primaries. They have the debates in the general election for that.
