'Media Mash': Biased Debate Questions Edition
"We counted, in the Republican debate [hosted by MSNBC at the Reagan Library], we counted 26 ideological questions.... Out 26 questions, how many do you think came with a left-wing ideological bent?" NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell asked Fox News host Sean Hannity on his eponymous program last night.
"Twenty-five out of 26" Bozell informed a stumped Hannity, referring to a study released Tuesday by Media Research Center (MRC) deputy research director Geoff Dickens.
"Now, that's perfectly fine if you're going to play devil's advocate... but that's not what these questions are," MRC founder Bozell added, noting that the media don't hit Obama from the right on policy questions in interviews.

We all know that the MSM is in the tank for the liberals. I think it's more of a headline when a conservative is questioned and the MSM is not displaying their oozing dripping bias.
Not much to comment upon…

I enjoy this weekly “Media Mash” segment very much, and hope it continues. But after listening to Sean and Brent, there really isn’t much to add… they cover it so very well.
Anyway, just thought I’d drop a note to say thanks.

One of Blitzer's questions - worse than "simply from the left"

One of Blitzer's questions - worse than "simply from the left" -- it's completely misdirected.
The Bush tax cuts were stimulus bills. Bush had inherited the fallout from the dot.com bubble collapse, which led to a recession , hence the 2001 bill. Following 9/11 and the continued economic difficulties, during 2002 they began pushing for additional long term stimulus to get the economy and jobs going; thus, the 2003 stimulus bill.
Certainly in early 2009, there was a need for a stimulus bill. Folks may agree, or disagree, with the design and/or size of that bill, but just when would one expect a Blitzer or a Williams (or any of them) to ask of Obama, or the Democrats, a question like this:
Ain't going to happen, well unless one of em can figure out a way to insert blame for Bush or the Republicans into it.

Why are these Liberal ideologues moderating Republican debates? Can anyone answer that question? Was there an expectation that the moderation would somehow be balanced or even disinterested? If there was that expectation, why? Unbelievable.
Love this segment, but two probs with it.

Every week, the same libs are featured, cause they dont learn their lesson, and no one will ever correct them. Also, I have NO idea why the Repubs went on lib channels to debate moderated by lib hosts. And Secondly, can Sean STFU and let Brent finish a friggin sentence? EVERY week, its the same!
