Media Mash: Tea Party 'Terrorists' Edition

By NB Staff | August 05, 2011 | 11:07

A  A

"During the Clinton years, there was great discipline in the Democratic ranks where they could all speak on-message. There continues to be the same great discipline in liberal ranks, but they've just torqued it up ten degrees now," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Fox News viewers on the August 4 "Hannity."

The Media Research Center founder made that argument after host Sean Hannity played a montage of liberal media reporters and pundits compared Tea Party conservatives in the House of Representatives to suicide bombers for their principled stand on the debt ceiling debate.

"I think this is going to backfire big-time on them," Bozell concluded.

Hannity and Bozell also discussed Chris Matthews arguing that Republicans hate Obama and want to kill him, "politically," that is.

Let's go Alinsky on them

Submitted by gwalt on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:12am.

Mr. Bozell,
Start putting up billboards and other ads naming names. Enough is enough, the broadcast networks use the "public" airwaves to lie and promote Dear Leader and the Dim Party.

Us their own words against them----make them own the lies and deceit.

I would rather see billboards

Submitted by Willis_Leon_Johnson on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:19am.

I would rather see billboards saying that we have this "debt crises" because CONGRESS CREATED IT and now refuses to either admit their abject failures at their jobs or make any effort to correct the problems THEY CREATED.

When campaigning for office, EVERY MEMBER of congress guaranteed the voters that they were the best person for the job.

That is FRAUD... about 315 million counts against each member for Depriving American Citizens of their INALIENABLE RIGHTS as GUARANTEED by the Constitution.

End 'gun violence in America' - Require training and MANDATORY "Shall Carry" by every Citizen.

If harry reid is the best person to lead the senate, what does that say about the other 99 senators?

And they promised not to raise the debt limit.

Submitted by lrgon on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 4:38pm.

and not to vote for huge budgets. They even read the Constitution on the floor of the House but they were either too ignorant of the meaning of the Founders' words or they were just agreeing with us just to get elected.

After their abysmal failure to contain the debt ceiling they will still have the gall to ask you to vote for them again! Hopefully they'll have primary challengers who will keep their word.

The best way for the economy

Submitted by goon on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:26am.

The best way for the economy to recover would be for Obumble to resign and on the way out the door rescind all of the horrible regulations he signed into law.

Won't happen

Submitted by jon_torlin on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 12:00pm.

Given his narcissistic personality, he won't do it.  He just said yesterday he's halfway done.  If he he really had any morals, any scruples, any hint of responsibility, he would resign.  He's at the very least, a very bad person.

For those of you who may not get it yet, he's doing this deliberately, the possob is trying and succeeding to destroy this country.  If you think it's just incompetence(which there is some, don't get me wrong, but there's plenty of malice on his part), you're fooling yourselves.

I'll say it again:  Where Rush Limbaugh said "I hope he fails," the manchild is succeeding and America is paying for it.  He is destroying this country.  And he's even celebrating it.

:A witch! a witch! We have found a witch!!!"

Submitted by MidAmerica on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:29am.

The abuse of the term "racist!" wore out it's impact and for now the Liberals have settled on the cry of "terrorist!".  However that will go nowhere because the average citizen is not going to believe that especially since most people know someone who is affiliated or leans politically towards the Tea Party.  The only places where it will have any resonance at all is in isolated Liberal enclaves where everyone is marching lockstep to the Liberal tune.

Total Liberal FAIL

Submitted by Free Stinker on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:42am.

Liberals have lost the argument, and will eventually run out of names to call us.

Racists, Hobbits, Terrorists, Kidnappers, Muggers, Vampires, and Zombies.

They haven't yet called us Martians, Muggles, or Yeti . . . but give them time.

Continually use the Democrat's own words against them!

Submitted by iamsaved on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:47am.

Billboards, radio, tv, internet - conservatives have to keep using the left's hypocrisy against them. Repetition is the best way. The 2006 words of Obama against raising the debt ceiling should have played out hourly everywhere they could be.

Since most Democrats unashamedly lie, which is a provable fact time and time again, their lies need to be exposed - not once, but over and over. Use the same tactics the left uses. Keep hammering the truth to defeat the lies.

By the way, anyone know what the left's (both the media and elected official's) codeword for the day is. I believe the other day it was "hostage". The day before it was terrorist. I'm not privy to their daily directives. They must have a good grapevine for them to all get the message so quickly.

The "Mugging" of the "victim" by the Tea Party

Submitted by lrgon on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 11:54am.

was Chris Matthews' assessment of the Tea Party conservatives who wanted real cuts to run- away spending and a balanced budget this year not in the never never land of "the future."

Matthews and the other liberals are gleeful because they know their guy won at the bargaining table. Obama got 2.4 Trillion Dollars to do as he pleases right away. The GOP sold a bill of goods to the Tea Party conservatives about some imaginary cuts that will be made way out there in the future. The "no taxes" that the GOP claim they squeezed out of Obama is a lie too since inflation is a tax, albeit a hidden one, but nonetheless a tax.

The nation lost and now Matthews and company are just further demonizing the Tea Party to hand the libs a stick to use to beat the Tea Party candidates over the head at the 2012 elections. That is the result or the synthesis of the debt ceiling compromise and it is all socialism or pure marxism.

Hmmmm....phrase of the day

Submitted by Blonde on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 12:04pm.

Sorry, I know this sounds vulgar, but it is pretty funny, too.

"strap on".

So we are now terrorists strapping on bombs and dynamite before we hold various buildings/places hostage.

Check.

Oh....final question (well, two, sorry). Why is what we are doing (as conservatives who vote with our wallets) called terrorism by members of this administration, when they can't bring themselves to use the word "terrorism" against our sworn enemies? Should we be "causers of man made disasters" in their lexicon?

Yeah, strap-on all right!

Submitted by NJRightWinger12 on Sat, 08/06/2011 - 2:20am.

Cause what these Demoncrap politicians are doing to us citizens and taxpayers are what one would do with a strap-on in the first place! And they dont even use any lube on us!

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. BEN FRANKLIN

Oops! I knew that post would get me

Submitted by Blonde on Sat, 08/06/2011 - 2:30am.

But seriously...in the Bozell piece, the democrats, in two of their talking point tirades, mentioned "strapping on bombs".

The entire convo has become totally OC (out of control)....for all of the calls for civility...I see NONE from the other side.

Alas.
