MRC's Brent Bozell Recaps 2011 DisHonors Awards on Friday's 'Fox & Friends'

By NB Staff | May 13, 2011 | 18:30

A  A

On the May 13 Fox & Friends, MRC President and NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell came abaord to recap the 2011 Media Research Center Gala and DisHonors Awards dinner held on May 7 in Washington, D.C.

Anchor Brian Kilmeade started off by showing the "Quote of the Year," which was "won" by MSNBC's Ed Schultz for ranting that Republicans "want to see you dead" and "make money off your dead corpse."

[For the full Fox & Friends segment, watch the video embedded after the page break or listen to MP3 audio here]

"Look, what do you say to that?!" Bozell asked. "This man is the superstar on MSNBC... everything he says in there is a man who desperately needs lithium," the Media Research Center president quipped.

Kilmeade also showed a clip of actor Rob Reiner comparing the Tea Party to Adolf Hitler. That line secured for Reiner the "I'm Not a Political Genius But I Play One on TV Award."

Telling indeed.. immediately following Ed Schultz's hate rant of fear, anger and death - Rob Reiner is shown tagging the Tea Party with the label.

Gotta be curious, Rob, find us a tape of the Tea Partiers talking like Ed Schultz.

'It's not uncommon to have porn or kiddie porn found on terrorists' HDs." By "Kiddie Porn' they mean baby goats, which are 'kids'. Yeah, that's it.
The media sees itself as 'entertainers' and 'image- makers'. Anyone who promotes any logic or truth, will be shouted out or lambasted. So, they've 'told' us who they fear: Newt. Imagine that, a puny little amphibian ;- ) and their sky is falling. Calling him "racist". Well then, that means every candidate running against the Ego in Chief is going to be labeled: racist or called every lowlifer name they and their stale history-recall ability come up with... Like mentioned before, they are entertainers and image-makers. They know their craft, but do not understand basic human nature. It's their downfall and they know it. So, if a liberal attacks, that's who they're afraid of. To that, I say, Just point at them and giggle. They won't understand. Remember what just happened in Canada! So be it in 2012! During the questioning and vetting time, RNC candidates must not answer the media's tough questions. They should ignore the question and attack their opponent, firmly out-speaking the questioner. It shows spine and threat. That would be a hard ball approach seen by many on TV. If the media rebukes or shuts off the sound, 'censorship' and they'll be scrutinized like all get out.
