Media Mash: 'Eat Dog Food and Die' Edition
On the April 21 edition of FNC's "Hannity," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell tackled how the media lapped up President Obama's talking points about the Paul Ryan budget plan and its effect on senior citizens.
"You know, Sean, this is some of the worst fear-mongering I've ever heard, and I think, personally, I find it despicable that this came from the president of the United States," the Media Research Center founder complained, adding:
The reporter has an obligation to look into these charges. If these charges were true they should be headline news everywhere. There's a problem. They're not true. The Republicans haven't suggested anything of this nature.
Where, oh, where is the press denouncing this man and his demagoguery? We are in full campaign mode. They are 100 percent on his side.
When he does this kind of stuff, Sean, understand, he does it because he knows he can. There's only one network, this network, that is doing anything to blow the whistle on him. The other ones are going to go along with it.
After this, Hannity ran a montage of liberal journalists hammering the message that Republicans are waging war on seniors and the poor:
SEAN HANNITY, host, "Hannity": They want old people to eat dog food and die, and the suck-up-to-Obama media, that's what they say.
BRENT BOZELL: These are all attacks on Paul Ryan and the budget proposal that he put forward. Now let's look at the numbers. You heard what they just said, now let's look at the numbers. In the next ten years, he proposes to raise spending from $3.6 to $4.7 trillion dollars. Over the next ten years, for Medicare, for that very same program, he proposes to increase it from $563 billion to $953 billion.
Sean, that's a 70 percent increase.
Those are the numbers in the budget. What you just heard, what you heard these people say when they're saying that the numbers show who you are, you are hearing three journalists lie on national television.

Might as well get over that feeling, Brent, because this president of the United Sates is a despicable man.
He not only lies, cheats, and steals, but he truly intends to bring this country down around our ears so that he and Georgie can rebuild it. I truly have a hard time telling any difference between this bastard and Hitler, Mao, Stalin, and Castro.
He has no honor. None, zip, nada. The Republicans need to realize it and make some serious moves to stop him. Four more years may be too late. Hell, it may be too late already.

The republicans don't seem to have the cajones to actually call a duck a duck. I think thats one of the reasons the Donald and Sarah do so well, they tell it like it is.

Thursday, Greta Van Susteren offered West more than one chance to back off his statements. West refused, standing by what he had said.
But as for the majority of Republicans? Most are spineless, "go along to get along-ers" who never seem to learn how the game is played. It's time to take off the gloves, forget about acting like "gentlemen" and grow a pair. November 2012 is too important for these a$$hat Repubs to screw it up again.

Obama announced that he is putting dog food on the list of foods covered by the new, improved Obama-Food-Stamp program. He cited the success of his Dog Food for the Elderly program.
It was reported that Obama was actually angry at Ryan for wanting to take dog food away from the elderly.

What is wrong with dog food. It comes in gourmet flavors. It cost more per can than a can of viennas potted meat, fish stakes or sardines. In many cases you don't need a can opener for either. Why doesn't he mention those things. What is wrong with Spam? It helped to win WWII. You might no always have cheese to put on your Spam and crackers but wouldn't you sacrifice that to bring the debt down? Do they still have cheese and butter handouts?
I can get two cans of viennas for a buck, 4 cans potted meat for a buck or sardines or fish stakes with 65 cents. The fish stakes/sardines come packed in oil, mustard sauce or Louisiana hot sauce. Bon appetit. If all else fails you can always find a dead possum or a possum on the half shell, the armadillo, in the road. You need to beat the buzzards to it.
There is nothing like sitting on the river bank having a can of sardines and some saltine crackers while you wait for the big one to bite. There were many times I had viennas, potted meat and sardines in my poogie bait sac when we went to the field for FTXs.
I agree that is all redneck cuisine and may sound silly but it is no sillier than what DUH ONE is telling people.

and Im not just kissing up to the boss, either! I love this segment-Hannitys best, even though I wish hed shut up for a second and let Brent speak more. They actually shold be doing more of the medias bashing and refusal to call out the Dims on what they say, but I guess when you have so many wackos in power it takes precedent. It is a crying shame, in this day and age, with what weve gone through in recent world history, that we have a "man" in power and a party that goes along with his socialistic ideals and world view, and a media that not only sits and takes it, but defends it!
