The Tar Heels just landed probably the best HS basketball player in the country, Harrison Barnes. The 6-7 swingman from Ames, Iowa will join the 2010 Heels. Look out DOOK we are reloading. I am looking for another NCAA Championship in the next couple of years. Heels play at OSU in the Coaches vs Cancer game, Thursday. This game should give a good indication of how good this crop of Heels are. DOOK beat UNC –Greensboro 96-62. Up until a few years ago UNCG was an all girl’s school. They still don’t have enough guys to field a b-ball team.
Thanks to the remnants of Ida and a nor’easter most of the games around here in the first round of the state football playoffs were postponed to tonight or Monday. Nothing to report on my West Craven Eagles quest to get back to 3A championship game.
scUM at Tar Heels. The scUM have never beaten the Heels in Chapel Hill. Hope that holds up today. I think the game is on at the same time as the SC-FL game.
Jawja Tech and DOOK. Tech can punch their ticket to ACC Championship game with a win.
Three Vols who were charged with armed robbery will sit out today. Their asses need to still be in jail. Here in NC armed robbery can get you life. I guess over in Knoxville if you play for Lame Kitten it gets you a break.
Pitt beats ND to help end Charlie Weiss’s career at the Golden Dome. The Big East has the same problem with officials that the SEC has. What a sorry officiated game that was last night between the Bearcats and the Mountaineers. That was not a TD. The Bearcat player fumbled before the ball crossed the plain of the goal line.
OSU-Iowa and USC-Stanford. Could we see a replay of the OSU-USC game in the Rose Bowl?
Thursday night Jay Cutler threw 5 interceptions against DA BEARS to wrestle the interception lead from Jake Delhomme. Look for Jake to take the lead back Sunday against the Falcons-no Jonathon Stewart to run the ball.

Lame's playing the Obama card (let's not jump to conclusions), while Nu'Keese still has his butt in jail, apparently. The Vol trolls are nuts, defending the indefensible....armed robbery!
Today marks the day that the Geezer Bowden will most likely lose any chance of FSU earning a bowl berth (first time in eons), because if he loses today, he's toast. No way does FSU win out, particularly in two weeks when they play us, at our seniors' final game in the Swamp. Bobby Bowden's swan song (beverage alert).
My Gators play the Old Ball Coach today in SC...game at 3:30. Steven O. Spurrier still has "it", unfortunately, none of his players do. I wish him and his team well every other day of the year but today. Rick is down for 5 tosses of the visor. I'm +3 on that bet, mainly to account for Florida's D. And one of the 5 will come on a Brandon James return for a TD.
We haven't touched on the Alabama game today. I think it might be a close run thing, but Ruk & the Bammers will be in Atlanta undefeated, as will we.
Let me know how the Swan Song thing goes over there, I cracked up when I saw that.
