This is obviously an exageration. Not the photo, but the depth of the bow. What I mean by that is, Barry just can't comprehend protocol. Showing reverence to someone in a manner they are accustomed probably isn't such a bad thing, but Barry's like a cartoon character! This a result of poor preparation which means his handlers are awful.
At least that's the best excuse I can come up with for this embarassment we have occupying the WH.
I agree, BK, about Barry being unable to comprehend protocol. In the case of the bow, it's clear that he has no grasp on the art of subtlety. His exaggerated bow was like a slobbering wet kiss when only an "air kiss" was called for.
Another example of his inability to comprehend the rules of presidential conduct was demonstrated by his appalling performance on the day of the Fort Hood massacre. I was expecting him to acknowledge the incident and speak to the American people immediately when he stepped up to the mike. Instead he spoke only to his gathered audience and gave priority to discussing social programs. Ironically, even though his administration doesn't have the transparency he promised, he's often unwittingly as transparent as can be!
I've decided that this clown just doesn't know how to bow properly. At least Japan has a cultural history of bowing for none other than greeting each other. The distinction here is that the Japanese bow is usually no more than 15 degrees, at the waist. Why couldn't the Bamster do research on this much simpler topic when he went through full training on giving a military salute for a photo op?
Well, then, mom, in this case the bow was appropriate. Everyone is superior to Jugears and the fiddytwoers that elected him. I've got a three-legged, neutered dog that is deserving of a bow from B. O. Plenty.

I think Obama would have used his community organizing skills to organize those poor farmers and merchants into demanding that King George divide up the private lands of the wealthy landowners (e.g. George & Martha Washington) for distribution to the 'not so fortunate' (a la present day Hugo Chavez).
In other words, have government spread some of the wealth around.
As CIC he should be required to salute just like the military. Even today I stand and salute when Old Glory passes or the National Amthem is played. I haven't worn the uniform in over 30 years.

The United States conquered Japan after a bloody war in which my father hopped from Island to Island and hundreds of thousands died to defeat this enemy of America and of which my father suffered for the remainder of his life on this earth.

He was the son of a Boston cop and a homemaker, drafted at 19 and fought in Europe where a bazooka exploded so close to him, it shattered the bones in his inner right ear. He struggled with vertigo so debilitating that he sometimes had to crawl on the floor because he couldn't stand. Finally, when he was about forty, the VA removed all of the damaged bones, which of course left him completely deaf in that ear. Despite all this he managed to become a successful businessman, starting out as a disc jockey and with determination and hard work, eventually owned his own radio station. If he were alive today and owned that small business, he would be in Obama's crosshairs. I emailed my step mom yesterday and said "I'm glad Billy doesn't have to see what's happening to us."

Matthew Barakat must be new to AP because he didn't get the memo that if liberals do bad things (of course, not a questions of "if", but when), you leave the party affiliation reference out of the article. If conservatives do bad things, you begin the article with a reference to party affiliation.

On Friday, Glenn Beck had an audience of black people who were talking about the black community.
I'm still shocked that so many of them voted for Obama, yet were talking conservative principles. I understand they wanted change. I understand that McCain was the lamest candidate the GOP has put forth since Bob Dole. I understand it's great to see a black man in the highest office in the USA. But was it worth it to vote for a man who thinks it's ok to put people in jail if they don't buy health insurance?
It was a roomful of black conservatives. Most of those who voted for Obama were sorry to have done so. One gentleman made the point that Obama ran as a moderate centrist, and he (and many others) bought the kool-aid.
It was a fascinating discussion, I thought.
Love or hate Beck, he does some really interesting things on his show.
I did watch the entire show. (I love Glenn Beck. The variety on his show is great.)
But I don't understand how someone could say they thought Obama was a centrist. His statement to "Joe the Plumber" about spreading the wealth around was all I needed to hear. How about sitting in Rev. Wright's church for 20 years, how about his wife saying her "proud of my country" statement, how about "right of unborn children is above my pay grade". None of that is centrist talk.
There were so many huge warning signs for anyone that was paying attention.
We knew all along what Barack Obama was (and is)....a commie sympathizer who hates his country and most of us in it.
So they dismissed what caused them cognitive dissonance, and listened to the cheerleading media. They bought the audacity of hope routine. But they returned it to Customer Service quite a while back.

If you read the mainstream left/progressive blogs and political websites, you'll encounter a great deal of disappointment over Obama's perceived shift toward the center since assuming office.
Perception, whose perception and the blogs you read? I imagine if you are left of Mao and voted for Duh Vain One then shifting slightly right would be percieved as goint to the center. JJ22?
I sympathize with them to a large extent, what is sad about this, is the first Black President is such a failure.

I did hear her on Man Cow's show the other morning and she mentioned how a guest on Joy Behar's show was making jokes about her grandfather who fought in WWII. What does her grandfather's service in WWII have to do with her? And why is it acceptable to talk about a WWII soldier like that the night before Veteran's Day, and no one seems to stick up for Prejean?
I'm not really into these book tour things and I'm probably not going to read this book, but I did notice the way she was treated on Larry King seems to be a lot different than how Gore was questioned doing his new book tour. I would say that if you are going to go on shows to promote your book, that you should probably expect some questions you may not want to answer, but I don't think King questioned Gore about Globabl Warming controversy. They also seemed to blindside her with a call from a gay person, I would expect King then to blindside Gore with maybe a call from the guy who had his microphone turned off after he questioned Gore on Global Warming a few weeks ago.
I made some mistakes back when I was 17 too, so people do things when they are younger that they regret.

I am angry, outraged and dismayed at Obama's Bow!!! ACA

The United States conquered Japan after a bloody war in which my father hopped from Island to Island and hundreds of thousands died to defeat this enemy of America and of which my father suffered for the remainder of his life on this earth.
Not just for what he had seen and done, but what he had to suffer watching and seeing his comrads die and be crippled for life in battle.
But then we Americans showed our true compassion by helping Japan rebuild a government and economy that more closely reflected American values than the old Militarist values of the crazed zenophobic (read racist) values of the rulers.
Those rulers included their Emperor and his status.
To have an American President, the leader of the Free World, the leader of the Most Powerful Nation on the Planet...
Bow...
And not just Bow...
But Bow so low that in Japanese culture this type of Bow means subservience.
To the Emperior of a country that doesn't even have the cultural empathy to allow free trade in their country...
Doesn't even try to support the US in many of their endeavors...
That just decided to terminate a refueling agreement for our ships.
This is sickening.
This is outrageous.
This SPITS on my father's grave and the graves and souls of all Americans who stood up to tyranny and attacks on America when not to do so would have meant the loss of the territory US at least from California to the Rocky Mountains.
This man has no shame. This man hates America.

He was the son of a Boston cop and a homemaker, drafted at 19 and fought in Europe where a bazooka exploded so close to him, it shattered the bones in his inner right ear. He struggled with vertigo so debilitating that he sometimes had to crawl on the floor because he couldn't stand. Finally, when he was about forty, the VA removed all of the damaged bones, which of course left him completely deaf in that ear. Despite all this he managed to become a successful businessman, starting out as a disc jockey and with determination and hard work, eventually owned his own radio station. If he were alive today and owned that small business, he would be in Obama's crosshairs. I emailed my step mom yesterday and said "I'm glad Billy doesn't have to see what's happening to us."

Matthew Barakat must be new to AP because he didn't get the memo that if liberals do bad things (of course, not a questions of "if", but when), you leave the party affiliation reference out of the article. If conservatives do bad things, you begin the article with a reference to party affiliation.
I agree, he won't be around long if he doesn't take that "memo" to heart and start "reporting" the way the MSM requires a "reporter" to "report".

But I don't understand how someone could say they thought Obama was a centrist. His statement to "Joe the Plumber" about spreading the wealth around was all I needed to hear. How about sitting in Rev. Wright's church for 20 years, how about his wife saying her "proud of my country" statement, how about "right of unborn children is above my pay grade". None of that is centrist talk.
There were so many huge warning signs for anyone that was paying attention.

To be honest, I have no idea how an answer in a beauty pagent has lead to all this. I really haven't paid too much attention to this and really haven't followed too much. I did hear her on Man Cow's show the other morning and she mentioned how a guest on Joy Behar's show was making jokes about her grandfather who fought in WWII. What does her grandfather's service in WWII have to do with her? And why is it acceptable to talk about a WWII soldier like that the night before Veteran's Day, and no one seems to stick up for Prejean?
I'm not really into these book tour things and I'm probably not going to read this book, but I did notice the way she was treated on Larry King seems to be a lot different than how Gore was questioned doing his new book tour. I would say that if you are going to go on shows to promote your book, that you should probably expect some questions you may not want to answer, but I don't think King questioned Gore about Globabl Warming controversy. They also seemed to blindside her with a call from a gay person, I would expect King then to blindside Gore with maybe a call from the guy who had his microphone turned off after he questioned Gore on Global Warming a few weeks ago.
I made some mistakes back when I was 17 too, so people do things when they are younger that they regret.
