The CBO/JCT letter
November 7, 2009 - 12:00 ET by mom_roxThe details of this letter are shocking!!!
Quoting from the letter, the
average: meaning some families will pay a higher premium. My husband and I are self-employed and pay half that amount for our current family health insurance. (for the time being)
The CBO estimates that a family earning $100k will spend 20% of its annual income on heath care premiums and cost sharing. Add the federal tax rate of 28%, and 48% of that family's earnings are accounted for. Not leaving much left over.
Is there an online method to email other members of Congress? The official Congressional website only allows emails from local residents.

They're FAR too close to being able to do that, that's for sure.
If not this time, next?

Adidas Hits Errr Jordan
Another celebri-kid who thinks silly things like rules and contracts don't apply to him, because he's, you know, the son of someone famous!
Marcus Jordan, a freshman guard at UCF, told the university he would
wear only Nike Air Jordan shoes out of deference to his superstar dad.
Maybe he can talk his superstar dad into making up the financial loss for UCF. Or offer them a better contract to play in Nikes.
Better still, I hope they kick him off the team. He's obviously not a team player.

Republican Plan Scored
November 7, 2009 - 11:09 ET by slickwillie2001Democratics push the silly notion that Republicans have no plan, are the party of no, etc. Of course, the liberal media is more than willing to go along with the democratics' propaganda. During the Bamster's address to Congress, Republicans in the assembly waved their bundled-up bills at him. Now one of the Republican bills to reform healthcare has made it through the CBO evaluation process, and the CBO reports that it will save money as planned and will lower the cost of health insurance:
CBO Scores Republican Plan: Costs a Mere $61B, Cuts $68B From Deficit, Reduces Premiums Up To Ten Percent: http://ace.mu.nu
A good link to send around to your liberal friends and trolls.

November 7, 2009 - 11:14 ET by billbMany people invest in insurance companies. I'm sure many of them are polititions. It would be interesting to see the trading records of these polititions over the past few months and as the final vote nears. On the other hand, if we had this information now, we would know for certain what the vote will be.

New CBO Estimate--House Bill $3 Trillion Over 10 Years
November 7, 2009 - 11:54 ET by sic721“The CBO estimate released last night finally sheds light on the smoke and mirrors game the majority has been playing with the cost of their health care reform proposal. Over the first 10 years, this legislation builds in gross new spending of $1.7 trillion – and most of the new spending doesn’t even start until 2014. Once that spending is fully phased in, the House Democratic bill rings up at more than $3 trillion over ten years."

SSEIU Goonery
November 7, 2009 - 12:52 ET by slickwillie2001Another assault by SEIU goons:
CA State Worker Says SEIU Thugs Beat Him Up: http://newsrealblog.com
"As the nation waits to see when or if SEIU members involved in a physical confrontation with Kenneth Gladney outside a health care town hall meeting in August will ever be prosecuted, [Missouri] another allegation of union violence has cropped up. A California state worker went to the hospital bloodied and bruised Thursday night as a result of a beating administered in an SEIU union hall. Kourosh Kenneth “Ken” Hamidi says four or five members of the Service Employees International Union local 1000 assaulted him as he entered their Sacramento meeting with a video crew for his public access TV show."
This is one union that needs to be crushed and scattered to the wind. Let's see if California officials are any more concerned with enforcing the law than in corrupt Missouri.
Trivia

If 1 and 0 is 0, what is 11?
What two colors make yellow?
What two colors make green?
If 17 = 23, what is 11 ?
Is black the absence of color or is white the absence of color?
I only know the last one.
November 7, 2009 - 14:30 ET by motherbeltBlack is the absence of color.
White is all colors.
Oh, and blue and yellow make green.
Yellow is a primary color; it's not made from any combination.
Yellow is a primary color of pigment
November 7, 2009 - 14:50 ET by nwahsIts a secondary color of light. Green and red make yellow in light.
Black is the absence of color in light, white is the absence of color in pigment.
Here's a hint for the second one
November 7, 2009 - 15:00 ET by nwahsIf 1 and 0 is 0 , 1 or 0 is 1, what is 11?
Trivia answers
November 7, 2009 - 15:30 ET by CiampinoIf 17 = 23, what is 11 ?
11 = 17 or 11 = B (depending what you meant)
My favorite "Why is Halloween like Xmas?"
because Oct 31 = Dec 25
Because oct 31 = dec 25
November 7, 2009 - 17:49 ET by nwahsYou are correct! Because oct 31 = dec31 and hex 11 = dec 17 and dec 11 does = hex B.
Ok, what about a couple of numbers less than zero that are in fact zero?
numbers
November 7, 2009 - 20:15 ET by CiampinoAre we talking about signed numbers?
bin 11111111 = hex 80 = -0
Nope :)
November 7, 2009 - 21:30 ET by nwahsIts a bit of a play on words, but not much.
I can think of two numbers less than zero ( negative decimal numbers) that are in fact zero. Now there might be more, that's why I said list some. I can think of 2 .
Here's a hint. Now think in terms of the same reasoning of "why is Halloween like Christmas." What number greater than zero is zero? That should get you on the right track.
