WHY DEMOCRATS ARE LOSING
November 3, 2009 - 21:07 ET by reelman46Despite the talking points and Bill O missing the mark (HC Bill reason) we need only look at recent political history.
The obvious (glaringly) achilles heels of past democrat (aka secular socialist) presidents have been the economy and foreign policy.
Obama is a radical (not a liberal) so his performance in these areas has been worse than bad....just awful to be kind.
The trillions in new debt, the failure (DEMOCRAT congress since Jan. 2007) to stop job losses and the "bash blame America" rants do not make voters whose retirement funds are still six figures down after all the lofty platitudes (and serial blameshifting) the least bit happy.
Patriotism is not Party-specific. IRAs are not Party-specific. Pink slips are not Party-specific. Smiles and promises get stale. Blaming others gets stale. Trashing America gets stale. None of the Obama ploys pays your bills or gets you a job. Ten percent jobless is NEVER acceptable.
This voter attitude is based upon self-interest. The socialists will have their strawmen and talking points but the meltdown has only begun.
The HC Bill ($1.2 trillion) and Cap-N-Tax (trillions in new taxes) added to other (on the table) huge new taxes while letting tax cuts expire (to shrink paychecks) just means the voter anger will become a fiery rage.
Mark it. Bet on it. Ignore the distractions.

Sky and others I heard that
November 4, 2009 - 01:36 ET by bigtimerSky and others I heard that as well from
Corzine regarding his Mom....
He said something like "she's 93 and a repub and I think she'll move beyond that." (I'm paraphrasing here, but if this had been reversed with party...OMG...I can already hear it)
It was crass...no matter what.

November 3, 2009 - 23:09 ET by krendlerTurn on CNN. The word "somber" doesn't do it justice. LOL. Quite the contrast to the on-air weeping and rejoicing a year ago when they got their big feel good moment with Barry.
I'm sure tomorrow NBC will officially declare the people of VA and NJ to be "racist".

Do I have to do everything here!
November 3, 2009 - 23:24 ET by MightyMouthThere is a big white elephant in the room in the 23rd!
The liberal RINO has 6% of the vote! And she endorsed the Democrat! WHICH MEANS...6% of the electorate didn't know she was not in the race! Add that 6% to Hoffman and you got a close race!

Got 'em on the run!
November 4, 2009 - 00:56 ET by JohnMDespite FIVE visits from Obama, several from Slick Willy, and the nearly constant presence of Joe Biden, the Dems here in New Jersey have LOST!!!
Goodbye Corzine! And good riddance! And although Obama will try to spin this, the message is clear:
The CHANGE everyone wanted wasn't what they've been getting, and they are willing to KEEP ON CHANGING!!!!!!!!
Hopefully, seeing how effective Obama's support was for Corzine, members of both houses of Congress will now start distancing themselves from the big O in order to save their careers. The magic has evaporated, and New Jersey is the proof nobody will want to admit, but there it is...
And, in case you have some time on Thursday, JOIN THE RALLY IN WASHINGTON TO PROTEST THE VOTE FRIDAY ON THE HEALTHCARE BILL - see your local Tea Party website, or the Americans for Prosperity. We started out to fill 4 busses, and we have TWELVE! See you in DC at noon on Thursday!
I suddenly have more HOPE than I used to have!!
Let's not stop there...
November 4, 2009 - 03:17 ET by AgentAmericanDespite the heartbreaking loss in NY-23, the significant victories in Virginia and New Jersey are the just the beginning of a real change in progress. The left sustained two major defeats at the hands of conservatives, and they sent a message to Barack Hussein Obama-Mmm mmm mmm! And that message is simple...your free ride is over.
Just imagine, if you will, if the governorships in all 50 states were held tonight.
Winning the New Jersey race was our Doolittle's Raid. We took the war to their back yard and inflicted some damage.
Hey, Barack H. Obama=Mmm mmm mmm!....WE won. Just wait exactly one year from now.
Awake the sleeping giant...and that giant is WE THE PEOPLE!
