John Kincade of ESPN Radio
November 1, 2009 - 10:27 ET by ricklailJohn Kincade of ESPN Radio says that Florida’s celebration of Tim Tebow’s breaking of Herschel Walker’s TD record was premature. He will not recognize it. According to him Walker had 5 TD’s in post season that did count towards the record. SO WHAT. The NCAA and the SEC recognize it. Who cares if an ESPN talk jock does? This happens all the time in sports. Rules for records change. When Babe Ruth played a home run that ended a game didn’t count if there were runners on base. Only the lead run counted. He was credited with an RBI hit. So it is hard to tell how many homers the Babe actually hit. I don’t recall as a kid a pitcher’s ERA ever being used. It was strikeouts, walks, and wins.
DOOK has now won 3 conference games in a row. The last time that happened Gen. Lee handed his sword over to Grant thinking he was going to sharpened it! My Heels better not take the game with DOOK for granted next week.
Temple is bowl eligible. They haven’t beaten Navy at Annapolis is 35 years. Many of you were still farting in the sandbox when that happened. USC is out of the BCS Championship game. Michigan started the season on fire. They look like, well the same Michigan team from a year ago now.
I had nightmares all night from those pumpkin vomit, thanks Dave, uniforms that the Vols wore last night. Any chance they might wind up in the Tennessee River?
Now for the pros. Since the Panthers are so crappy I could really care less about the NFL. My question is how many interceptions will Delhomme throw today?
Broncos are ripe to be upset against the Ravens.
Will Farve do the Lambeau leap if he scores a TD?
Will the Deadskins lose to idle?
Saints/Falcons is the best game of the week. The rest are ho hum.
Semper suprene nitens

→ Walker & Tebow
November 1, 2009 - 10:33 ET by Cool ArrowSo Tebow accomplishes in 3 2/3rd yrs what Walker did in 3 years.
The record still goes to Tebow. Apples and Oranges.
Mmm, mmm, mmm - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Tim Tebow
November 1, 2009 - 10:37 ET by blazermaniacTim Tebow could win three national championships at Florida. Individual records don't mean much to him. Winning games and titles are.
→ That's true
November 1, 2009 - 11:01 ET by Cool ArrowAnd Herschel Walker's decision to go pro before his senior season was certainly beneficial for the Cowboys.
Trading him to the Vikings and getting (after the smoke cleared),
Two Super Bowls later, still considered the best trade ever by a Sports Team. winner - Dallas Cowboys

rick, LOL
November 1, 2009 - 10:45 ET by R D HelmSorry about the nightmares. And yes, the Tennessee River would be a good place for those hideous uniforms, but an incinerator would be even better.
At least my Dawgs wore the appropriate color last night: Funeral black.
Yeah, the Falcons and Saints is always a good game. Looking forward to that one.

St. Louis v Detroit

titans fan here...
November 1, 2009 - 12:23 ET by traderjamessooo...will putting Vince Young in as the starting qb solve all the problems that ail my belvoed titans? H**l no !!! He has not had enough time to merge into the position, and I am skeptical that the other players will buy into his leadership. I see a bad moon rising. Titans lose by 10.
Interesting that two 0-6 teams, Titans and Rams, played in Super Bowl 34 in 00. My, how times change ! Note to Rams: You might reconsider that Rush Limbaugh thing...what do you have to lose?
ok, they haven't won yet but...
November 1, 2009 - 18:34 ET by traderjamesI was completely wrong about Young. He looks great today, as does the whole team. We are missing way too many tackles today, however. Game not over yet, by any means. (beginning of 4th Q).
Well, maybe it is over, cuz Jax just threw an interception...what am I doing, live blogging??
Go Vikes!
November 1, 2009 - 14:55 ET by the strugglerMinnesota at Green Bay

November 1, 2009 - 15:26 ET by Cool Arrow35-10.
I'm enjoying this.
Mmm, mmm, mmm - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Perhaps they will let us
November 1, 2009 - 15:49 ET by Dan The Man 2Perhaps they will let us down later in teh season than usual? They wont win until Jerry stops running the team. Duh Vain One took lessons from Jerry by watching the Boys.
→ Bret Favre
November 1, 2009 - 16:27 ET by Cool ArrowNow this should be a fun game.
The booing fans, wishing they didn't love the old man as much as they do.

November 1, 2009 - 16:31 ET by MrShyMeanwhile, both NY teams got embarrassed today.
Jets. Same ole' same ole'.
1969 and counting.
→ The Giants
November 1, 2009 - 16:33 ET by Cool ArrowI knew the Giants had some problems, but they just laid down for the Eagles.
LYDSEXICS UNTIE!
cool -->
November 1, 2009 - 16:40 ET by MrShyI saw neither of them, but catching the recap stuff online. Giants have been reeling, yeah, but to lose like that -- after 2 loses already, and you'd think they'd be MAD. Guys are SB champs from just two years ago. Pride?
Jets are just sorry. They outplayed the Fins by all accounts numbers-wise, and still found new, inventive ways of losing.
RO... Glad I didn't see
November 1, 2009 - 16:47 ET by bigtimerRO...
Glad I didn't see that game....I'm also somewhat surprised.
The Giants had better get their stuff together...not looking so good lately.

November 1, 2009 - 18:38 ET by Cool ArrowI got so involved with NB, I forgot this is just the end of the 3rd Qtr.
Still more to come.
Being an old man myself, I'm a fan of Favre nowadays, but the Packers are showing some grit now.

Now I'm laughing and ready
November 1, 2009 - 18:41 ET by bigtimerNow I'm laughing and ready to kill ya...you told me there were four minutes or so left, at least that is the impression I got...hehee....you slay me CA.

November 1, 2009 - 19:13 ET by Cool ArrowAnother TD pass (4 in a game) ties Dan Marino for most.

CA... I heard that stat
November 1, 2009 - 21:25 ET by bigtimerCA...
I heard that stat about Marino/Farve.
Saw the rest of the game as well...as I really didn't have a dog in that fight it was fun to watch the end...Seahawks were plucked....Cardinals were creamed....Giants stomped on today...at least I won with the Chargers today.
Glad the Colts won as well.
Seems to be an interesting season so far.
