Appearing on the September 28 "Fox & Friends," Media Research Center President and NewsBusters Publisher mocked the New York Times's admission that it was "slow off the mark" in reporting on the recent ACORN prostitution sting video scandal (audio available here):
It's just like [ABC's] Charlie Gibson days after the fact saying in an interview that he has no idea what ACORN is all about, that he was out yachting. These people just don't get it. When we say that they live in their little world somewhere between the corridors of Washington, D.C., and New York City, it's true.... When they see the real world, they see it through the lens of those right-wing zealots up to no good on Fox television.
"Fox & Friends" co-host Gretchen Carlson asked Bozell how the Times, which most certainly monitors cable news networks for breaking news, "how could they not be aware of those undercover videos?" Bozell answered:
It's telling you their worldview. No, I don't believe they were aware of it. It's not part of their world. Their world is so insulated. This is why we call them elites. These are the liberal elites.... Ask them about the real world, they haven't a clue.

"how could they not be

Gretchen, it's kind of difficult someone like Chuckie Gibson to be aware of reality, when he is one of the reality challenged and puts his fingers in his ears and yells, "Lalalalala I can't hear you!" Whether such a person is on the left coast or in the DC/NYC corridor, he/she/it can't let the real world intrude, otherwise, they are abruptly yanked out of their comfort zone and actually made to see reality. And, reality bites.

Excellent article, plus links inside as well.
All roads also lead to the Dear Leader, going to be interesting what happens over time, and it will take time to have so much of this all unravel...as it should.
Thank goodness for those two young people who got all of this out in the open.

Fox Did A Good Job During The Bush Administration, But Now...
September 28, 2009 - 23:29 ET by The7SticksThis is something that I have heard Phil Hendrie's show observe. Fox News did have fair and balanced reporting back during the Bush administration when the MSM was trashing Bush. Now it seems that Fox News is trying to trash President Obama the way CNN or MSNBC trashed President Bush. I say it as a supporter of both President Bush and President Obama. Open up your eyes because they are all following their own self interests. ACORN is a corrupt organization, but that doesn't mean the filmmakers who broke the law exposing this corrupt organization are heroes. To me, them and Michael Moore are two peas in a pod. I think you'll need a few minutes to let that sink into your head.
Clever Way
September 29, 2009 - 10:39 ET by Jerry MackA very clever way of saying that you do not like any criticism of Obama.
The only state that they broke a law was in MD. So I suppose you would throw all of the tapes away and let ACORN continue as before.
