9.9.09 HELL FREEZES OVER
September 9, 2009 - 21:09 ET by reelman46SEPT 9.2009 HELL FREEZES OVER
Somebody pick me up off the floor…I can’t stop laughing…my eyes are watering…
The most liberal (secular socialist) democrat Party in history led by a kook radical are going to…are you ready for this?
Going to eliminate tens of billions in health care fraud…ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha…yada, yada.
Is this the Party that has us 9 trillion in debt with a long history of finding money only by taxes and military cuts?
Is this the Party that has controlled congress since January 2007 and
said not a word about cutting fraud in Fannie or Freddie or Health Care?
Of course, what does reality have to do with anything Obama says? Or Pelosi? Or Reid? Or Dean or any socialist lemming.
Now that you finally stopped laughing I want to tell you the joke
about the democrat Party cutting the size or inefficiency of the
federal gov-meant (that has hired 78,000 new employees in 2009 as
millions in private industry lost their jobs)…its a real knee slapper!
After that comes the joke about a STIM package that had no pork and
would keep unemployment under 9%…its the funniest thing ever heard.
Cats are now called dogs and the air is full of rainbow dust…another
White House full of smiling confident know-it-all liberal moonbats.

September 9, 2009 - 22:15 ET by jon_torlinOk, I suppose considering the subjects about paranormal, most people might be on the fence about this, but compared to the drival that Barry Soetoro was giving the public, complete with fake tears on cue by Nan and Joe, Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth(something the great leader knows little about) was entertaining but very interesting.
The investigations done by TAPS and by the Destionation Truth are far more thorough than any sort of congressional investigation done by the circus that is currently Congress.
Anyone else see those two shows? The one scene in the Destination Truth where the guy who's a camera man and was skeptical sure had the crap scared out of him, especially when he got sliced by something!

Wasn't it a time before during prime time that people were watching re-runs instead of The One? (Re-Run, The One, rhyme anyone?)

September 9, 2009 - 18:53 ET by jon_torlinWhat a time to quit drinking in order to lose weight. :(
(I hired a personal trainer who got me to stop drinking alcohol of any kind in order to lose some weight, eating right, exercising right, so far I've lost about 45 pounds, got another 30 or so to go, staying committed, ya know?)
That would be the drinking game to end all drinking games, "I will do this.(slam drink)" 10 seconds later, "I have done this.(holy crap, another one already? slam drink)" I'd wager that you could get 5 minutes into his monotony baloney and people would be passed out from consumption.

No way, did that once
September 9, 2009 - 19:07 ET by jon_torlinI did that once and boy my trainer was UPSET with me. She's a real sweetheart and very passionate about this kind of thing, she's about half my age and even though I paid for it, she really wanted me to do well with this. She even threatened to quit being my trainer if I promised not to do it again, she felt that strongly about it.
I keep my promises. Also, she would have quit if I wasn't showing any kind of progress, again, even though I paid for it, and times are a bit tough economically, she lived by her values. Something that can't be said for a whole lot of people, that's for sure.
So I've been behaving myself since then. Don't think I haven't been tempted though with all this bull-loney going on that will fundamentally change our lives for the worse.

September 9, 2009 - 19:36 ET by FastEdbut has anyone ever asked - "Of all the people who DON'T have any healthcare/insurance, how many DON'T get treated??"
Isn't that the REAL argument? Why do us who have insurance (big or small) need to pay for those who don't? Since we ALREADY pay for their needs -
Question for the cowardly media types who lurk here - FastEd asks - why the need to carry the water for a guy who should be concerned about the workers, and instead wants to pander to the wannabes? September 9, 2009 - 19:43 ET by jon_torlinIt's not about how many people don't have it and all that, it's all those damn riders on the bill that's the problem and most people aren't even aware of it.
That's the REAL problem. It's got so many things on there, some of them actually contradict each other, and of course my personal (un)favorite is where they have direct access to your bank accounts among other things that it will do.
They keep saying it over and over and over and over and over and over and over(get the idea?) that it's about the fictional 30-46 million "uninsured" people (closer to 5-6 million really) so they lay a guilt trip out to try to get the Americans to pay the loot and people just do not want this pile of bovine excrement that tingles a certain journalist's legs!

Hahahaha!!! Funny....that is EXACTLY what I thought as he was finishin his speech.
The retard was even shaking his head and moving his fingers like a black preacher on a Sunday church service speech.
we have the preacher-in-chief....
hahaha...
Overall impression for me
September 9, 2009 - 20:09 ET by celatorOverall impression for me thus far: Obama is desparate. It shows.
His instructions were to get nationalized health care passed, and he has failed.
He's in big trouble with his bosses.
No citizen's right to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, or property is safe as long as Obama is President of the United States.
Celator - I agree
September 9, 2009 - 20:11 ET by FeynmanFanHis voice definitely sounded stressed towards the end of the speech.

September 9, 2009 - 20:11 ET by LiberalliesIs this idiot for real?
Did he say civility?
He called people that question him and the Democrats liars in his speech and at the end of it he calls for civility?
wow!!! this man is truly a demagogue.
Wonder Pets were on
September 9, 2009 - 20:13 ET by RR GOPWonder Pets were on tonight...missed it. Damn. So, for those brave souls who watched Der Fuhrer in the Sportspalast how many times did Kamerad Nancy jump out of her chair?
One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 86% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory.
she didn't jump like a jack
September 9, 2009 - 20:24 ET by JAJTshe didn't jump like a jack in the box, must be from all that botox injection she and joe had today. she had a lot of restrained applause. the best part was someone shouted out "thats a lie" ohh the look on her and joe face! they went for the roll call and she sat there pissed and tried to cheer up afterwards... priceless moment. JAJT
Oh oh
September 9, 2009 - 20:14 ET by TheAssessorI couldn't stop cringing. Am still laughing.. he's ridiculous and it shows more every time he speaks.
It's America, not Omerica
Did anyone count the platitudes?

September 9, 2009 - 20:16 ET by Forest for the TreesSame set of lies & misprepresentations - yet another socialistic, narcissistic, attempt to ruin the country under the guise of 'so-called' bipartisanship speech.
Just how stupid do these guys (O, Deadfish, & Plugs) think we are?
I am so sick of this guy and the bouncing red Peolosi & Obots I could scream.
BTW, where were the real facts?
Right, there aren't any!

Wasted Night
September 9, 2009 - 20:19 ET by srqvetObama lies. Wants to require insurance companies to cover routine exams and some other not so routine exams for free.
Rep response was very weak. This is the best they could do? What a waste.

For me referencing Teddy
September 9, 2009 - 20:21 ET by Radical1979For me referencing Teddy wasn't to smart. Teddy never worried a day in his life about his or his families health care. For that matter he never worried about Mary Jo's, so I don't want to hear Teddy's name.
The Left still doesn't get that...
September 9, 2009 - 20:24 ET by PrairieSkynobody outside of D.C. and Massachusetts gives a rat's butt about Ted Kennedy or the rest of his family.

September 9, 2009 - 20:24 ET by Radical1979Oh yes I loved how the government option will save money by not having fraud and beaurocracy!! I'm looking for the people who bought into this because I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale...

September 9, 2009 - 20:40 ET by ckc1227If they could wipe out fraud and bureaucracy, why don't they do that starting tomorrow? Don't need a government option to do that.
BOR
September 9, 2009 - 20:31 ET by slickwillie2001Watching Karl Rove schooling BOR right now, telling BOR what he was too stupid to pick up from the speech himself.
BOR now figures illegal aliens are off Obamacare, because the Bamster said so! Yet tomorrow the Bamster will use the 47 million figure again, I guarantee it.
Slick~
September 9, 2009 - 20:34 ET by Georgia GirlI saw that as well. "Naive" is not strong enough a term to explain how BOR was being. Rove, as usual, got it.

September 9, 2009 - 20:37 ET by ckc1227And Bill seems to think the public option is gone too. Did I miss something? Did Obama say the public option was off the table now? Could have sworn the speech was pretty much all about a public option.
Ckc~
September 9, 2009 - 20:51 ET by Georgia GirlI know, that was really weird! I thought Obama was stronger than ever on the public option aspect. Do you suppose Bill nodded off during the speech? That would explain a lot. ^_^
Could be, GG...
September 9, 2009 - 20:59 ET by ckc1227Who knows with BOR. I pretty much stopped watching him the night he allowed Obama to try and upstage McCain at the GOP convention.

September 9, 2009 - 20:37 ET by IckDear Government,
I expect you to:
Feed me and put clothes on my back
buy me a new car
protect me from not saving for retirement
bail me out when I get over my head in debt
pay all my bills and make me better if I get sick and
protect me from myself
all by taxing my neighbor......
...because I can't do any of these things on my own.
Sincerely,
