I'm watching also, (if I don't get interrupted) not just because of him, for me it is mainly the reaction from the congress-critters on our side of the aisle, some on the other side as well...let alone we already know what the SRM is going to do.
I'll probably watch Ghost Hunters, too...sure will be more believable. If I do watch the speech, I'll have to mute the sound and turn on the closed captioning to avoid seizures brought on that annoying voice.
Ok, I suppose considering the subjects about paranormal, most people might be on the fence about this, but compared to the drival that Barry Soetoro was giving the public, complete with fake tears on cue by Nan and Joe, Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth(something the great leader knows little about) was entertaining but very interesting.
The investigations done by TAPS and by the Destionation Truth are far more thorough than any sort of congressional investigation done by the circus that is currently Congress.
Anyone else see those two shows? The one scene in the Destination Truth where the guy who's a camera man and was skeptical sure had the crap scared out of him, especially when he got sliced by something!
I'm watching Ghost Hunters as well, and the one that's on at the timeslot of Duh One's speech (he's had 263 speeches or so since taking the office illegally, illegal due to not confirming birth place) is a re-run, but hey, that's ok. Wasn't it a time before during prime time that people were watching re-runs instead of The One? (Re-Run, The One, rhyme anyone?)
As I said to other friends, I'm watching a show that's closer to reality than the dreck that we're going to hear about out of Mr. Soetoro.(I refuse to call him his O name on purpose!)

I just finished watching a rerun of Scrubs and Elliot started to talk about something she did, and all 12 people in her immediate vicinity instantly fell asleep, standing up! LOL
What a time to quit drinking in order to lose weight. :(
(I hired a personal trainer who got me to stop drinking alcohol of any kind in order to lose some weight, eating right, exercising right, so far I've lost about 45 pounds, got another 30 or so to go, staying committed, ya know?)
That would be the drinking game to end all drinking games, "I will do this.(slam drink)" 10 seconds later, "I have done this.(holy crap, another one already? slam drink)" I'd wager that you could get 5 minutes into his monotony baloney and people would be passed out from consumption.
Congrats on the weight loss, Jon. And you know it isn't a speech/address without him throwing in a "I inherited this mess" for good measure. That ought to be worth a double shot.
I would bet a triple shot he will blame the republicans in congress despite the fact(facts don't mean much, doncha know) the republicans do NOT have the numbers to defeat anything if they put anything to a vote.
Thanks for the congrats, another reason I was doing it was because my blood pressure was getting a bit high. Now that I've lost a good bunch, it's still a bit high. I blame the government and all the crap they are pulling. :-P
I did that once and boy my trainer was UPSET with me. She's a real sweetheart and very passionate about this kind of thing, she's about half my age and even though I paid for it, she really wanted me to do well with this. She even threatened to quit being my trainer if I promised not to do it again, she felt that strongly about it.
I keep my promises. Also, she would have quit if I wasn't showing any kind of progress, again, even though I paid for it, and times are a bit tough economically, she lived by her values. Something that can't be said for a whole lot of people, that's for sure.
So I've been behaving myself since then. Don't think I haven't been tempted though with all this bull-loney going on that will fundamentally change our lives for the worse.
I would say yes. After all, the democrats have been ignoring their constituents and Pelosi's made the threat plain.
My prediction? His approval numbers will go down YET AGAIN. I suspect this will be the equivalent of backing him and the other Dems (Pelosi and Reid) into a corner and they will definitely do the vote, the Repubs be damned and real soon. I've suspected September might be a turning point, if not October.

In the runup to this teleprompter reading, one of the leftie talking heads on Lou Dobbs show blamed the failure of Chrysler and GM on healthcare costs. No mention of course of the corrupt UAW that extorted those rich benefits out of a private company.
And yet, Toyota, Honda, etc didn't fail, and they also have health care costs for the plants in this country. Ford didn't fail either.
It's a bogus argument anyway. Car companies choose to offer health care benefits....they aren't forced to. If it's breaking the bank, they can dump it.

They keep saying it over and over and over and over and over and over and over(get the idea?) that it's about the fictional 30-46 million "uninsured" people (closer to 5-6 million really) so they lay a guilt trip out to try to get the Americans to pay the loot and people just do not want this pile of bovine excrement that tingles a certain journalist's legs!
It's like cutting off a hand to take care of a hangnail.
Not only bank accounts, -"all financial records." That means your stockbroker accounts, IRA account, 401K account, etc, etc.
If the government is to judge what kind of plan you can afford, they need it all, and that doesn't mean you have to show it to them, it means that with a few keystrokes they access it themselves.
For folks that already have health insurance: no preconditions, no annual benefit limit, no lifetime benefit limit, a limit on out-of-pocket expenses. If you have a low-cost, high deductible plan, kiss it goodbye.
It appears that the democratics plan is to force insurance companies into bankruptcy. One by one the Bamster will take them over (shafting the stockholders and the bondholders of course) as he did GM. That's the long path to Government Healthcare, which they will accept if they can't get the short path.

That would be the drinking game to end all drinking games, "I will do this.(slam drink)" 10 seconds later, "I have done this.(holy crap, another one already? slam drink)" I'd wager that you could get 5 minutes into his monotony baloney and people would be passed out from consumption.

She's a real sweetheart and very passionate about this kind of thing, she's about half my age and even though I paid for it, she really wanted me to do well with this. She even threatened to quit being my trainer if I promised not to do it again, she felt that strongly about it.
I keep my promises. Also, she would have quit if I wasn't showing any kind of progress, again, even though I paid for it, and times are a bit tough economically, she lived by her values. Something that can't be said for a whole lot of people, that's for sure.
So I've been behaving myself since then. Don't think I haven't been tempted though with all this bull-loney going on that will fundamentally change our lives for the worse.
