Obama does turn and it does appear he did some ogling, but, after closer inspection, he's turning to help the young lady in the navy print dress down the high step. His head doesn't even move to follow the brightly-colored dress as she ascends the steps. His eyes may have, but it was nothing more than a look of "human nature".

Nah, from the looks of it the President is innocent here. The still shot is more ambiguous, but the fact that it didn't look like his gaze followed when she passed clears him in my mind. Noticing is one thing, but I wouldn't call that oggling. Sarkozy, on the other hand, most definitely appeared to be taking in the view.
But more importantly, it doesn't matter if he was getting a good look. After all, it is perfectly healthy for a man to appreciate the beauty of the female form. It's not like he hit on her, made rude comments, groped her, had sex with her, or used her as a human humidor.

Will men always notice a "beautiful painting"? Most will, to some degree, although some make a conscious effort not to, for many selfless reasons. Noticing the painting is beautiful? Totally normal and okay. For me, what gets creepy is when men don't just notice the painting but go overboard leering at the painting (or indulging thinking that runs amok) and not just moving along -- in other words, acting like they have no degree of self-control or consideration for others. I do think there comes a point where it is a matter of maturity and integrity. I hate to break the news to the guys, but most women can tell by the look on a guy's face what they are thinking upon seeing a "beautiful painting." ;)

Before I had babies going with me everywhere I got ogled every place I went. It was downright annoying most of the time because very few men do it 'well'. After I had the kids it was like I went invisible. Before anyone jumps to conclusions, my figure goes back to pre-baby 6-8 weeks after birth so it's not like that was a factor.
I was so occupied with the children I hadn't even noticed the difference till 7 weeks after my second was born. My MIL was visiting and she stayed with the babies while I went to the repair shop alone to pay for some work we were having done on our truck. Four men flirted with me in the 10 minutes I was there and I got a wink from the guy who held the door for me on the way out. When I got to the car I sat in there and laughed for a few minutes before I could start it. I'd totally forgotten what life was like pre-kids. It isn't just a woman's figure, she has to look available, too. Guess kids are a turn-off. *grin* Works for me.

What is RELEVANT here, is that once again, the media is attempting to cover up for Obama. Rather than simply show the video they have to add the influential words that will certainly lead many to believe someone else's interpretation of facts.

Summary
In recent years, violence along the U.S.-Mexico border has escalated dramatically, due largely to the Mexican government's efforts to disrupt Mexican drug trafficking organizations (DTO). U.S. officials note the violence associated with Mexican DTOs poses a serious challenge for U.S. law enforcement, threatening citizens on both sides of the border, and U.S. and Mexican law enforcement officials generally agree many of the firearms used to perpetrate crimes in Mexico are illicitly trafficked from the United States across the Southwest border. GAO was asked to examine (1) data on the types, sources, and users of these firearms; (2) key challenges confronting U.S. government efforts to combat illicit sales of firearms in the United States and stem the flow of them into Mexico; (3) challenges faced by U.S. agencies collaborating with Mexican authorities to combat the problem of illicit arms; and (4) the U.S. government's strategy for addressing the issue. GAO analyzed program information and firearms data and met with U.S. and Mexican officials on both sides of the border.
Available evidence indicates many of the firearms fueling Mexican drug violence originated in the United States, including a growing number of increasingly lethal weapons. While it is impossible to know how many firearms are illegally smuggled into Mexico in a given year, about 87 percent of firearms seized by Mexican authorities and traced in the last 5 years originated in the United States, according to data from Department of Justice's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). According to U.S. and Mexican government officials, these firearms have been increasingly more powerful and lethal in recent years. Many of these firearms come from gun shops and gun shows in Southwest border states. U.S. and Mexican government and law enforcement officials stated most firearms are intended to support operations of Mexican DTOs, which are also responsible for trafficking arms to Mexico. The U.S. government faces several significant challenges in combating illicit sales of firearms in the United States and stemming their flow into Mexico. In particular, certain provisions of some federal firearms laws present challenges to U.S. efforts, according to ATF officials. Specifically, officials identified key challenges related to restrictions on collecting and reporting information on firearms purchases, a lack of required background checks for private firearms sales, and limitations on reporting requirements for multiple sales. GAO also found ATF and Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the primary agencies implementing efforts to address the issue, do not effectively coordinate their efforts, in part because the agencies lack clear roles and responsibilities and have been operating under an outdated interagency agreement. Additionally, agencies generally have not systematically gathered, analyzed, and reported data that could be useful to help plan and assess results of their efforts to address arms trafficking to Mexico. U.S. law enforcement agencies have provided some assistance to Mexican counterparts in combating arms trafficking, but these efforts face several challenges. U.S. law enforcement assistance to Mexico does not target arms trafficking needs, limiting U.S. agencies' ability to provide technical or operational assistance. In addition, U.S. assistance has been limited due to Mexican officials' incomplete use of ATF's electronic firearms tracing system, an important tool for U.S. arms trafficking investigations. Another significant challenge facing U.S. efforts to assist Mexico is corruption among some Mexican government entities. Mexican federal authorities are implementing anticorruption measures, but government officials acknowledge fully implementing these reforms will take considerable time, and may take years to affect comprehensive change. The administration's recently released National Southwest Border Counternarcotics Strategy includes, for the first time, a chapter on combating illicit arms trafficking to Mexico. Prior to the new strategy, the U.S. government lacked a strategy to address arms trafficking to Mexico, and various efforts undertaken by individual U.S. agencies were not part of a comprehensive U.S. governmentwide strategy for addressing the problem. At this point, it's not clear whether ONDCP's "implementation plan" for the strategy, which has not been finalized, will include performance indicators and other accountability mechanisms to overcome shortcomings raised in our report.
It's a shame that the GAO report is as poorly written as the original material that began this nonsense story. I can't tell if they are writing this in a fashion to purposely shade the truth, or if it is pure government incompetence.
All that the GAO report really says is that: when the Mexican government seized a weapon used in a crime and thought 'hey this weapon originated in the USA' and subsequently sent it to the USA for tracing, the Mexicans were right 87% of the time.
This is meaningless data written to deceive naive people.

The minimum wage is set to increase to $7.75 an hour on the 24th. I heard Boortz mention about a friend of his that owns a chain of burger joints saying that he would probably layoff workers because of it. I heard some business owners around Atlantic Beach state that the minimum was what kept them from hiring more summer help than they did.
It may not reflect in the jobs loss numbers for July but I wonder how many will be attributed to the increase?

The man has "0" class, but when the economy is in free fall, the administration has nationalized the banks and the car industry who cares if he shows no class. OK, I watched the video and my first impression was he was just looking down and helping the woman behind him. Then it hit me that something was somewhat amiss. A second view of the video it hit me, he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head! The lady he helped reached down and took his arm, i.e. he didn't see her until he turned around! I think he took a glance at the young lady and the lady behind him just happened to be there to take his arm when he turned around. I don't have a problem with it really, Sarky on the other hand, he was getting an eye full! JMHO. : )
It's quite possible the woman behind him could have said something to catch his attention without him turning to look. Or a short conversation a few moments prior could have left him with an expectation that she would be right behind him.
Yes it is GM. I look at it as more fun than anything else. Did he look? Maybe yes, maybe no, doesn't really matter. Hell, when the pic first came up I looked. I didn't notice the woman behind him say anything, but who knows. It's still fun to comment on though. : )

Will men always notice a "beautiful painting"? Most will, to some degree, although some make a conscious effort not to, for many selfless reasons. Noticing the painting is beautiful? Totally normal and okay. For me, what gets creepy is when men don't just notice the painting but go overboard leering at the painting (or indulging thinking that runs amok) and not just moving along -- in other words, acting like they have no degree of self-control or consideration for others. I do think there comes a point where it is a matter of maturity and integrity. I hate to break the news to the guys, but most women can tell by the look on a guy's face what they are thinking upon seeing a "beautiful painting." ;)
Obama does not strike me at all as being a leering type of guy. Sarko ... uh, that's a whole another story. Maybe unfair -- but I get an "ick" feeling, and I trust my gut.

July 10, 2009 - 11:13 ET by choselife3xBefore I had babies going with me everywhere I got ogled every place I went. It was downright annoying most of the time because very few men do it 'well'. After I had the kids it was like I went invisible. Before anyone jumps to conclusions, my figure goes back to pre-baby 6-8 weeks after birth so it's not like that was a factor.
I was so occupied with the children I hadn't even noticed the difference till 7 weeks after my second was born. My MIL was visiting and she stayed with the babies while I went to the repair shop alone to pay for some work we were having done on our truck. Four men flirted with me in the 10 minutes I was there and I got a wink from the guy who held the door for me on the way out. When I got to the car I sat in there and laughed for a few minutes before I could start it. I'd totally forgotten what life was like pre-kids. It isn't just a woman's figure, she has to look available, too. Guess kids are a turn-off. *grin* Works for me.
Personally, I'd rather be "checked out" by Sarkozy than Obama. Sarkozy at least looks like he appreciates the hell out of a lovely woman. Obama looks like a robot.

So far:
1. ABC claims he wasn't looking at a 16 year olds rear end. That is a joke, right? Look at the video! It is like their telling us how beautiful Ms. Obeyme is when she is, at best, not measureable on the 1-10 scale. You CANNOT make a silk purse out of a sows ear. In the movie the "Outlaw Josey Wales" he says something about rain and going to the bathroom that fits this situaion.
But ABC might still lose. My guess is CBS and CNN ignore it for now. NBC will jump in next as did ABC. NBC is always a dollar short and a day late. Only if the story continues will CBS jump in. They will have some video expert come on and do a line of sight study to show he really wasn't looking at her rear end. Maybe they can interview the girl who will say she was flattered.

What is RELEVANT here, is that once again, the media is attempting to cover up for Obama. Rather than simply show the video they have to add the influential words that will certainly lead many to believe someone else's interpretation of facts.
It's no different than the media telling their audience that Obama's personal associations were unimportant, that the lack of a birth certificate was unimportant (not that they even talked much about that...), and a myriad of other oddities that were classified as irrelevant or were interpreted in his favor and then spoon-fed to the audience. Rather than presenting the facts and letting the viewer decide, the media hacks attempt to sway the people.
That they have the power to do that is a big responsibility. That they have have chosen to do it is a huge breach. That the American people are too stupid to realize that they are being manipulated is a damned shame.

Summary
In recent years, violence along the U.S.-Mexico border has escalated dramatically, due largely to the Mexican government's efforts to disrupt Mexican drug trafficking organizations (DTO). U.S. officials note the violence associated with Mexican DTOs poses a serious challenge for U.S. law enforcement, threatening citizens on both sides of the border, and U.S. and Mexican law enforcement officials generally agree many of the firearms used to perpetrate crimes in Mexico are illicitly trafficked from the United States across the Southwest border. GAO was asked to examine (1) data on the types, sources, and users of these firearms; (2) key challenges confronting U.S. government efforts to combat illicit sales of firearms in the United States and stem the flow of them into Mexico; (3) challenges faced by U.S. agencies collaborating with Mexican authorities to combat the problem of illicit arms; and (4) the U.S. government's strategy for addressing the issue. GAO analyzed program information and firearms data and met with U.S. and Mexican officials on both sides of the border.
Available evidence indicates many of the firearms fueling Mexican drug violence originated in the United States, including a growing number of increasingly lethal weapons. While it is impossible to know how many firearms are illegally smuggled into Mexico in a given year, about 87 percent of firearms seized by Mexican authorities and traced in the last 5 years originated in the United States, according to data from Department of Justice's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). According to U.S. and Mexican government officials, these firearms have been increasingly more powerful and lethal in recent years. Many of these firearms come from gun shops and gun shows in Southwest border states. U.S. and Mexican government and law enforcement officials stated most firearms are intended to support operations of Mexican DTOs, which are also responsible for trafficking arms to Mexico. The U.S. government faces several significant challenges in combating illicit sales of firearms in the United States and stemming their flow into Mexico. In particular, certain provisions of some federal firearms laws present challenges to U.S. efforts, according to ATF officials. Specifically, officials identified key challenges related to restrictions on collecting and reporting information on firearms purchases, a lack of required background checks for private firearms sales, and limitations on reporting requirements for multiple sales. GAO also found ATF and Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the primary agencies implementing efforts to address the issue, do not effectively coordinate their efforts, in part because the agencies lack clear roles and responsibilities and have been operating under an outdated interagency agreement. Additionally, agencies generally have not systematically gathered, analyzed, and reported data that could be useful to help plan and assess results of their efforts to address arms trafficking to Mexico. U.S. law enforcement agencies have provided some assistance to Mexican counterparts in combating arms trafficking, but these efforts face several challenges. U.S. law enforcement assistance to Mexico does not target arms trafficking needs, limiting U.S. agencies' ability to provide technical or operational assistance. In addition, U.S. assistance has been limited due to Mexican officials' incomplete use of ATF's electronic firearms tracing system, an important tool for U.S. arms trafficking investigations. Another significant challenge facing U.S. efforts to assist Mexico is corruption among some Mexican government entities. Mexican federal authorities are implementing anticorruption measures, but government officials acknowledge fully implementing these reforms will take considerable time, and may take years to affect comprehensive change. The administration's recently released National Southwest Border Counternarcotics Strategy includes, for the first time, a chapter on combating illicit arms trafficking to Mexico. Prior to the new strategy, the U.S. government lacked a strategy to address arms trafficking to Mexico, and various efforts undertaken by individual U.S. agencies were not part of a comprehensive U.S. governmentwide strategy for addressing the problem. At this point, it's not clear whether ONDCP's "implementation plan" for the strategy, which has not been finalized, will include performance indicators and other accountability mechanisms to overcome shortcomings raised in our report.

All that the GAO report really says is that: when the Mexican government seized a weapon used in a crime and thought 'hey this weapon originated in the USA' and subsequently sent it to the USA for tracing, the Mexicans were right 87% of the time.
This is meaningless data written to deceive naive people.

I heard Boortz mention about a friend of his that owns a chain of burger joints saying that he would probably layoff workers because of it. I heard some business owners around Atlantic Beach state that the minimum was what kept them from hiring more summer help than they did.
It may not reflect in the jobs loss numbers for July but I wonder how many will be attributed to the increase?

John Lonski, chief economist for Moody's Investors Service, said: "This might actually delay the return of job growth. The minimum wage increase will be felt most acutely by employers at restaurants, especially fast food, and also the hard-hit retail sector. We've seen a loss of jobs in retailing, and this latest hike in the minimum wage will add to the difficulty of stabilizing employment in industries that are dependent on lesser paid workers".

July 10, 2009 - 18:31 ET by RukusOK, I watched the video and my first impression was he was just looking down and helping the woman behind him. Then it hit me that something was somewhat amiss. A second view of the video it hit me, he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head! The lady he helped reached down and took his arm, i.e. he didn't see her until he turned around! I think he took a glance at the young lady and the lady behind him just happened to be there to take his arm when he turned around. I don't have a problem with it really, Sarky on the other hand, he was getting an eye full! JMHO. : )
