July 5, 2009 - 08:44 ET by BlondeIt's going to be a great match either way.
And congrats to the Williams sisters for making it an All American ladies day yesterday.
I hope he fails, too.
Roddick
July 5, 2009 - 08:54 ET by Noel Sheppard...with a stunning break to take the first set!!!!!!!! ns
Roger
July 5, 2009 - 08:58 ET by BlondeIs looking a bit befuddled.
I've not him see that many unforced errors and out by a smidge in two games....that was a whole set's worth.
It's all good, I hope Andy can keep his game where it is.
Whoa, did you just see the look on Federer's face? Like he was sucking lemons.
I hope he fails, too.
Exciting enough for you NS?
July 5, 2009 - 09:37 ET by BlondeThis tie break is killing me!!!!
I hope he fails, too.

July 5, 2009 - 09:39 ET by Noel SheppardJJ,
One of the biggest chokes I've ever seen. How do you lose 6-2 in a tiebreaker? Sheesh!!! ns
But will he buck up?
July 5, 2009 - 09:45 ET by BlondeIf he doesn't get it together in a hurry, it's going to be lights out.
Federer is tough, tough, tough. Those two nerveless serves helped take the wind out of Andy's sails.
I hope he fails, too.
Love game
July 5, 2009 - 09:48 ET by BlondeRoger's got his game back.
Oh....and isn't it a pleasure not to have to listen to mush-mouth Carrillo? Heaven!!!
I hope he fails, too.
Similar tiebreak last year, but a different result
July 5, 2009 - 17:41 ET by mom_roxunder pressure: Recall last year's final: Rafa is leading the 4th set tiebreak at 5-2, 2 points away from the championship. He double faults and Roger manages to win the tiebreak at 10-8. Of course, Rafa goes on to win the match.
What a heartbreaker for Andy - he breaks Roger twice, gets broken only once and still loses the match. Hoping for a Roddick U.S. Open victory.
It was so cool seeing Borg, Sampras, Laver and Federer in front of the Honours Board.
~~save your tea, dump congress~~
Played 3 sets yesterday and
July 5, 2009 - 09:54 ET by DelsaI'm pulling for Andy.
If he believes he can, he will beat Roger!
Tough break in the second set tie break though?????
I'm crossing everything.
I like Roger BUT pulling for the American
→ Roger! Roger!
July 5, 2009 - 10:27 ET by Cool ArrowI'm off to church.
But Roger's got my support.
2-1
Wow!!!
July 5, 2009 - 10:58 ET by Noel SheppardAndy takes set four. On we go!!!! ns
4 all in the 5th
July 5, 2009 - 11:24 ET by BlondeI have to think this favors Roddick....no 5th set tie breaker.
Great match!
I hope he fails, too.
Are WE watching this?
July 5, 2009 - 11:59 ET by DelsaGo Andy
Oh Damn
July 5, 2009 - 12:40 ET by DelsaOh Damn
Ya, that was a
July 5, 2009 - 12:44 ET by mandrakeYa, that was a heartbreaker..to have it all come down to one point. But that's just life I guess.
Cooler "history" than Obama.
July 5, 2009 - 13:15 ET by BlondeWho would have thought....five of the games living legends, and Johnny Mac the least amongst them?
That was an amazing match, and unfortunate that there had to be a loser. Federer achieving this "historic" benchmark in such an incredibly tough match is the icing on the cake.
I'll be pulling for Roddick at the US Open....he's obviously grown up and should be proud of the great tournament he had.
I hope he fails, too.
