Before ABC's ObamaCare Special, Conservatives Provide Other Side; MRC Launches ObamaCareTruth.org

On Capitol Hill today, the Media Research Center along with Americans for Tax Reform and the Health Care Freedom Coalition sponsored an event showcasing Sen. Jim DeMint, Rep. Tom Price and key health care experts who discussed the alternatives to and the pitfalls of President Obama's health care proposal. 

Sen. DeMint explained what he would have said if he had been invited by ABC to participate in this evening's health care special:

No American should be forced into a government-run system that limits their choices and rations their care. Democrats' answer to every crisis is more and more government, but there is a better way that puts patients first, not bureaucrats. By giving all Americans choice and access to the same tax benefits we give to people through their employers, we can cover more uninsured Americans than the Democrat plan, in half the time, and at no additional cost to taxpayers.

Last week, the MRC's Business & Media Institute found that over the past six months, ABC News has featured Obama or supporters of his plan 55 times compared to 18 times for critics of his plan.

Due to the media's bias on the issue, the MRC today launched a new Web site devoted to exposing what the liberal news media are not telling the American public about President Obama's health care plan.

plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries
with private insurance.

couple of questions here, what percentage are they going to take out of your check for this 1%, 5%, are they going to cover 100% of the visit or 70% and we pay the diff, can we get insurance to cover the diff,  Do we pay the full amount of the visit and then put in a claim for the for say 70%, which is still a delema when you dont have the 5 grand in your pocket in the first place to get the care and then apply for the reembursement,  Can we still get private insurance as well, will they allow privite hospitals for those with privite insurance, even though we still will be faced paying twice, one for gov care from the check and one for private out of our personnel pocket, gov insurance is no where near a guarantee that you will be treated and in a timely fashion, what it comes down to is we are buggered, they should check out how the vets (animal doc) run their biz and take a page from that book, the bloody animals will be living longer than us,

Of course not. It wouldn't be fair for you to have access to a better private hospital when so many others can't afford the same. It's all about equality....everyone has to use the same crappy sytem. The only ones with access to private hospitals will be politicians, who conveniently will not be required to participate in the same system as the rest of us rubes.

I could not bring myself to watch the ABC Obamamercial on Obamacare.  Hopefully some ABC whistleblower will eventually reveal the inside story of this event. 

I suspect that the White House exercised a great deal of control over this, but will ABC admit it?

I don't know how else to express my frustration so I wrote a three part story about this starring Charles.  I'd love to hear feedback from Newsbusters commentors.

I can't stand it but I'm watching the Obamamercial now so I don't have to rely on what the news anchors tell me what we said.  So far it seems totally scripted.  Next question is why ER's are being used as primary care facilities, we need more nurse practioners, family doctors, etc.  My answer, a lot of people simply find it more important to spend their $20 on their nails, or won't wait in a doctor's office like the rest of us.  A good portion of the problem is the lack of personal responsibility!  In PA we have Chip for uninsured kids, the parents still don't take care of their kids.

Here's the best description I ever heard about B.O.  He's a Post Turtle....

You're driving down the road, and you see a turtle sitting on top of a fence post.  You know he didn't get there by himself, he should never be in that position,  he doesn't know what the hell to do while he's up there, and you wonder what kind of idiot put him there in the first place....

that's the president..  He doesn't belong there, doesn't have a clue on what do do now that he's there, and a bunch of idiots put him there....
