On Friday, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell appeared on Fox News Channel's "Hannity" program in the "Great American Panel" segment. The topics included the stimulus package:
BRENT BOZELL: No one read this bill in the Congress, because we had to pass it because there was such a need to get this going so we could create jobs and give everything away. How much of the stimulus bill have we spent? Four percent. So much for that need. This is a fraud.
SEAN HANNITY: So this was really about bigger government? This is a fraud. This was greater control of government.
Also discussed was the resignation of White House Military Office director Louis Caldera, who authorized the ill-advised low-altitude flyover of lower Manhattan by Air Force One:
BOZELL: [H]ow about saying, "I made a mistake and I'm sorry"? "People of New York, I'm sorry." There was no apology in that resignation. He should have apologized.
HANNITY: If he would have apologized, should we have forgiven him?
BOZELL: I think, yeah, I would have transferred him to a job at 7-Eleven or something, with all due respect to 7-Eleven.
[laughter]
HANNITY: Wait a minute, did the government take over 7-Eleven? They've taken over everything else.

Nowhere to go
May 11, 2009 - 11:40 ET by iveseenitallWe can complain all we want. Fact is, the combination of a corrupt fascist government, an irresponsible media, and an ignorant, apatheic public has created the perfect storm. We are in deep soup, America.
P.S. Talk about "apologies". I see where a conservative newspaper in London is apologizing to the public for being too "negative". We are witnessing the demise of reason and free thought. The left is winning. All this will end in complete tryanny if it continues.
NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"
one thing to remember about the "ignorant" public...
May 11, 2009 - 16:36 ET by UndercoverConservative...is that image is also fostered and promoted and spun by the same Media that spins and lies about government.
I posit the following: that the perception of lazy, ignorant and apathetic America is also a media distortion, one of the greatest and most dangerous-because so many believe it. It becomes a self-realizing prophecy. Few here would deny the involvement in TEA parties was still great enough, that even after a massive disinformation campaign, that large numbers and multiple events nationwide occurred. I present the concept that TEA parties gathered more support and involvement than any number of "gay marriage" or even "civil rights" protests over the last year-and had Media been sympathetic and made such an event "cool" you'd have had many more times the attendance.
I also posit that the belief of the "the Left winning" ideologically is also untrue and is a Media construction as well, to wear down the opposition, psychological warfare.

Great American Panel Sucks
May 11, 2009 - 19:46 ET by BW222The Great American Panel is one of the worst ideas ever in cable news. Hannity's new show is really a challenge to stick with. I usually switch channels after 10-15 minutes. I wish FNC would move Beck to Hannity's slot.

May 12, 2009 - 04:58 ET by RR GOPI can't stand the non-political segments he runs and I thought that the old H&C had a much greater diversity of (knowledgeable) guests.
The panel is OK with me, though some of those folks are rather vapid.
Bozell was excellent on that panel, BTW.
One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 61% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory (yep...approval for Congress now at 39%...do you believe that!?).
