Palin owes taxes due to a new ruling it should have been reported in the following way; "It appears Gov. Palin owes a little bit more to the tax man. Due to the Alaskan state government, there was a new ruling on how expense money is taxed".
But of course in the continuing smear campaign against Gov. Palin they MSM decided it would make her look like a tax cheat if they said she owes back taxes.
Of course a certain member of this board will add this to the other biased links he likes to inflict on us, so we must make sure we beat him back with the facts as we usually do.

If you MUST know, it was Governor Palin herself, who asked for clarification.
Up until now, no one getting state per diem in Alaska treated it as income. But the liberals in Alaska (and elsewhere) still get stupid over this.
The last two Governors, one a Republican, one a democrat never paid taxes on this, either!
Even better, it was reported today that Governor Palin has spent roughly 20 percent of what the other two Governors spent on expenses incurred.
The bottom line is she has spent almost $1 million LESS than the last two Governors did, in the same time frame on expenses that she incurs.
Part of this because she sold the jet, and flies commercial. Part because she let the executive chef that all Governor's get, go. Actually she was reassigned to other work.
Plus, Governor Palin, much to the dismay of her now beefier security, has refused to drive a state car.
She was already driving herself to work every day, now she's driving her own car, as well.
Earlier this year, the legislature passed a $25,000 dollar a year raise. From $125k to $150K.
She turned it down.
Show me another state CEO that is leading by that example!
She made deep cuts in Alaska's spending, so as to keep essential services going. How bad would it look if she kept living it up in style, while asking Government to cut back.
You'll find her dining on Moose steak and Moose burgers, that she hunted herself, not $100 Wagyu steaks flown in from Japan, like Obama!
This is why Sarah Palin is the real deal, and why the left is freaking out over her. How do you fight the real thing?
Obama's minions are saying Obama will be Reaganesque tonight in his speech. BS!
The only one in this country right now that is Reaganesque, is Sarah Palin!
