What do Bill Maher slamming Pope Benedict XVI as the criminal head of a pedophilia ring, Washington Post's Sally Quinn defending anti-American Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and Ted Turner founder prophesying environmental apocalypse have in common?

They are just three of the most outrageous quotes from the mainstream media in 2008 and were featured on the December 23 "O'Reilly Factor" in a segment with MRC's Director of Media Analysis Tim Graham.

....a "worst" case of bias.

Taken as a whole, media coverage of just about anything political/religious/financial/economic in 2008 was a complete and utter disgrace.

And unfortunately with BHO as Prez 2009 will likely be even worse.

Tim. If it were not for the fact that our MSM - folks like Wolf Blitzer at CNN, etc. - were quite content in having Bill Maher on as a credible source to talk about international, domestic and political issues, I'd be quick to suggest that pointing out a comedian's outragous behavior as an example of the media's bias was not endearing to the cause; but then again.. guess I just made the case. Indeed, this is the lens thru which the media sees the world's news. (;~> gary

as i listen to bill maher-i have not heard him condemn the Muslim faith. yes the Catholic church has issues. but homos in robes or street clothes are still homos.Preying on boys is still a crime. stoning women for some dumb ass 7th century crime must be okay. does bill maher know the Pope will not attack him just pray for his soul. while Muslims may hang him from a bridge for speaking of mohamed in a negative way.

the Rev Wright is a black nationalist, separatists. another gem of a human being. did he just steal from the congregation to build his retirement home.

I've been to a few black churches, and I haven't seen much difference from my Independent Baptist Church. A little more lively, but the content has been true to the word.

Bill Mahr called George Washington scum on his TV program about nine years ago. When I heard him say that I was ready to throw something at the the TV. How can such a worthless idiot continue to be in the limelight? I am a real American who considers him to be a cowardly triator.
